The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan

Yerevan|0.87km from Luna Park
This is everything you would expect of a modern Luxury Collection property. The rooms, the pool, the gym, breakfast... all top notch. Location is also perfect. There were, however some problems. Some serious. Some minor. Serious: - there is no way to contact the hotel electronically prior to arrival. There is no published email. I contacted them by Facebook Messenger, and they gave me an email address.... to which they did not reply. I recontacted via Messager... and they did not reply. No email address for a hotel in 2023 is not acceptable. - I was arriving ahead of the check-in time (10am vs 2pm) and checking out well before the check-out time (6am vs 12 noon). I explained the situation, said that I did not need my room early but i) if it was available great but ii) if it wasn't I would freshen up and change my travel clothes in the gym changing room. The answer - 'if you want the room before 2pm, you pay 50% of the daily rate. You may access the gym only after 2pm'. I was shocked. I understand that they are under no obligation, but refusing to allow someone to use the changing room?? I insisted. Eventually they relented. The changing room was perfect (and empty). But not good first impressions. - Returning from dinner, I was surprised that there is no evening turn-down service. I went to bed just before 10pm (I had been travelling) and did not think to put up DND sign because I was getting up at 6am and receiving room service breakfast. The turn down service came into my room just after 10pm when I was in bed. That is bizarrely late IMO (note that Yerevan is a late city with limited morning activity). - Room service breakfast was delicious except that orange juice was in a bottle. In Armenia, fresh OJ is available from any roadside stall. Surely the kitchens of the Alexander can produce it for breakfast? The hotel is expensive. It seems to be priced with the diaspora in mind who will not be surprised by NYC or Paris prices. For example, the $200 per hour for a massage is really extreme in this part of the world. I have no doubt about their claim to be the best hotel in Armenia, and I appreciated the luxury and service after some challenging travels through the Caucuses. However, I do think the management should get a grip on the service/value balance.

The hotel has many disinfection Stations throughout the entire hotel. The Service is excellent on every level . A special compliment to Liana Hovsepyan the profesional front office manager that arranged for me the perfect accommodation. She is very professional and very kind and speaking fluent English like most of the staff . The breakfast in the hotel is one of the best you will find in Yerevan . They have good quality choices including fresh detox juices and tasty local products that you can find only in Armenia. Comfort Hotel

Yerevan|0.33km from Luna Park
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I booked the hotel based on the photos on Expedia.com through a travel agent. As a side note, the travel agent named Liana at Must GoTravel left us high and dry and wouldn't respond to any calls or messages asking her if there was any way to change our hotel due to the horrible conditions. The positive points for this hotel is the hotel looks nice on a surface level because most of the hotel is made of marble (both inside the rooms and in the lobby) and they provide a good breakfast each morning. However, as soon as we walked into our room, we noticed IT WAS TINY AND NOT THE ROOM WE HAD BOOKED. All the photos on Expedia show large rooms for those with two beds, even large enough to fit a sofa in the room. The room we were given barely had enough room to fit two beds against two walls as opposed to the photos on Expedia which show rooms large enough to have two beds against the same wall and room for a table and even a sofa. I've attached a picture to this review but I believe they over booked and gave us a room meant to have one bed only. We asked for our room to be changed but hotel staff told us this was the room we booked and said they would change our room when they had a vacancy but they never did. Next problem: THE ROOM CONSTANTLY SMELLED LIKE CRAP. The sewage smell was overpowering. It was constantly leaking from the drains into the bathroom and room. We left the windows open to smog and construction fumes directly across the street from us to avoid smelling the sewage. We didn't feel safe leaving it open when leaving the room due to the construction crews right across from us so every time we came back to the hotel, we'd walk right into the smell of 50 people's POOP. The AC is set up in a way where it shuts off automatically when you leave the room so there was no circulation. We would have to run in, open the window, prop the door open, and place the room key in its holder for the AC to turn on and wait outside our room for 10 minutes each time we came back. We actually ran into another guest of this hotel at the airport and he point blank asked us if our room smelled like crap too so we know it wasn't just us. He had hotel staff change his room 3 times but they wouldn't change our room. Going back to the beautiful marble flooring which was found inside both the room and bathroom. Both me (in my 30's) and the family member I went with (60's) slipped multiple times and actually FELL on the hard marble floor twice. Taking a shower was a huge fall risk because the entire floor is marble and there is no shower door or shower curtain to block the water. Taking a shower here means the entire bathroom floor all the way to the sink and toilet will be wet and slippery. The shower itself was a small steam so a quick shower still took 20 minutes and the lever to open or close the water was broken in the wall. There was also no light above the sink so it was hard to see yourself well enough in the m

A wonderful hotel near the city centre. It takes only 10 minutes on foot to get to the centre. The staff is very helpful and kind doing their best to make your stay enjoyable. There’s a wonderful sauna and a swimming pool in the hotel which is a big plus. Breakfasts are really tasty and varied. We were in the hotel in June-July which meant we had the chance to taste the most delicious apricots in the world Armenia is famous for. For breakfast we had delicious pastry, different kinds of fresh juice, a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and even poultry or sometimes meat which is a good start of a day. In other words, a big choice for anyone. The restaurant works during the day and you can take a table either inside or outside the hotel . Our room was very clean and tidy with enough light and space. The cleaner was always there trying to be helpful by bringing bottles of water or asking if we needed something. There’s a big shop next to the hotel where you can buy groceries or something necessary. In the evening we could buy some cheap delicious fresh fruits and vegetables sold by the locals not far from the hotel. Also, there’s a big bank not far from the hotel and a new big Armenian church nearby. Everything was really wonderful. Thanks everybody! Looking forward to our next trip to Armenia with amazing historical places, friendly and hospitable people creating that magic atmosphere and yes! unforgettable local cuisine.

Ani Grand Hotel Yerevan

Rested with the family in August 22 at the hotel. Looking at a nice hotel, the room is excellent and large, clean towels and underwear. A little pompous and ampirous, but it's for the amateur. Everything is clean and neat. But there are huge consequences: 1. Restaurant - breakfast is served in the restaurant , a la dining room. Cheap rolling tables, with waiters with trolleys as in the dining room. Breakfast is varied. Good coffee espresso , cappuccino and Americano are not available . Casha is terrible. But the choice of vegetables and fruit is great. Despite the rich choice, breakfast was a terrible impression. 2. The Internet is simply not here. The room luxuriant was not possible to work , the video connection didn't work 3. The apocalypse of our stay in the room , was the absence of the Internet in the room . The staff of the Resepshen Milan, Eliza and Aram could not solve the problem . The Internet was not at 7 p.m. or at 10 p.m. nothing changed. Answer the question to whom the application was handed over, who accepted , which number was not able either. This suggests that no processes are built in the hotel . It is a pity that a hotel claiming to be 4 stars cannot rebuild normal customer orientation . We will definitely not recommend this hotel. There are many hotels in Yerevan to order better .

The waitress at the front desk is very friendly, especially warm, the house does not have a lift, the luggage may not let you go, the room is small, it is non-smoking. Just around the square, it is quite convenient to go anywhere.
Anga Yerevan Hotel

The hotel exceeded all expectations for its price! The room includes bathrobes, slippers, even a spoon and shoe sponge, a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, paste/brush. Good minibar, safe, wi-fi, room quite spacious. Breakfast is not 5*, of course, but more than this price: porridge, eggs, sausages, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, yoghurts, salads, several types of pastries - you definitely won’t leave hungry. The only negative is the poor sound insulation of the windows; at night you can hear the noise of the main street. The hotel is located in the very center, I went out and went for a walk

Wake up in this hotel under the sound of trembling furniture from subway trains and the sounds of construction equipment under the window If you drink delicious Armenian wine before the night or even better cognac, then maybe this noise and you won 't notice

What an impressive hotel - arrived early but met with incredible staff and service. After a coffee, shown to a great room; comfortable bed, huge bathroom with a deep bath and loads of space. Located very centrally, the hotel was situated in a beautiful historical building easily accessible to the metro, restaurants and main sights. Breakfast was good with a varied offering with attention to detail throughout. All in all, probably the best hotel that I stayed in during my visit to the Caucasus.
