Victoria Cloisters Apartments

We have stayed here before and we will stay here again, this time we chose the 2 bedrooms and separate shower room and separate bathroom with a large living room space and kitchen, it didn’t cost that much more but definitely suited us better. It’s so quiet and safe with parking space available. So close to the town centre and all the places to visit, just a two minute walk over the bridge. It’s clean and well maintained.

We arrived on a Wednesday quite easy to find, keys are collected from the Queens hotel which is just around the corner. Once in the apar**ent it looked quite nice, plenty of room for two people. First the negatives, the toilet wouldn’t stop filling up once flushed, they sent someone to fix it but it happened on quite a few more occasions during our stay but we managed to do what we was shown to release it. Went to make a cup of tea and found dirty mugs, we washed up what crockery/cutlery we needed for a couple of days. The WiFi is non existent so don’t rely on using it. TV isn’t the best but we didn’t really need to watch it so it was take it or leave really. We did mention the WiFi and the pots to the reception but they are not really there to listen (in our opinion) on the plus side it’s well placed for the city centre and it’s all secure.

We have stayed at Victoria Cloisters apar**ents on and off over the last ten years. Every time we go back I always think maybe they might have updated them - but no!. We are in 16 this time and although it’s quite adequate for our needs I would love to see them spend some money on them. Scuff marks on the walls, furniture worst for wear, and a funny smell permeating the whole apar**ent which we traced to the fridge. We bought a couple of candles and that seemed to do the trick😊. The best thing about these apar**ents are the location less than five minutes walk and you are in the centre of York. The parking needs to be pre booked and is very tight at best so no good for larger cars. We are staying on a deal so not paying full price for them, I definitely would be kicking off if I was.

Clean and secure property. You have to go to the hotel reception to pick up the keys. The apar**ents are two minutes walk. The rooms are clean and the bathroom had been refitted recently. Town is about five minutes walk across the bridge. The only very minor issue was that the Wi-Fi internet was unusable.

The refrigerator had a disgusting smell and the sofa bed was very dirty! There was no hot water for taking a shower the next day! We had a horrible two days stay here!

The property was excellent. It had everything we needed and was close to all the amenities. We did not need to use the car as everything was walkable. The apar**ent was clean, spacious and very safe. The only slight issue was the WIFI was not very strong.

Great location. Instructions on check in were confusing and parking was tight and we had to move the garbage cans to park. Bath tub had some mold in the corners

Just had a great weekend away in York for a friends 50th and stayed at the Victoria Cloisters Apar**ents What a great apar**ent that we had 2 bedrooms with double beds, we also found out that the sofa turned into a double bed if there were more staying in the apar**ent. Location is brilliant 2mins walk into York centre over one of the bridges, secure gated car parking that you need to book with the apar**ents, but only a set number of parking spaces so be quick. The apar**ents were clean, very spacious and modern. A great place to stay right in the middle of it all if that’s what you want but also in a secluded side street. We’ll definitely go back again.

Perfect stay in a central location in York. Would definitely recommend if you need a central base close to the city centre - apar**ent was spotless and well equipped, would certainly stay again. We didn’t park here, as it’s very central and close enough to walk the 10 mins of so from the station, but parking did seem quite tight, altho spaces are available.
