This hotel was recommended by my colleague in Amsterdam office as a good place to stay when I arrived in the country because it was near our meeting the next morning. I was skeptical but the hotel turned out to be charming and the staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. I arrived on Valentines Day around 21:00 without having had dinner. I was informed when I checked in that the restaurant was fully booked and in any case the only option that night was a special Valentine's menu. I asked if there was any way to eat and they were able to convince the chef to serve me a one-off meal in a separate dining room so that I was able to have a meal at the end of a long day. I really appreciated how they went out of their way to find a solution for me. The hotel itself is well maintained, just as you would expect for a small hotel in the Netherlands. The rooms were clean and quiet; bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and had plenty of options.

A hotel with an extraordinary ambience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The dinner on the beautiful terrace leaves nothing to be desired. It was no problem for the well-trained staff to respond to special requests. A very successful stay and highly recommended!

Enjoyed a castle room, with a great bed and good coffee machine. Beautyfull view from large balcony wich would be even more fantastic when the weather is good. Nice bathroom but shower needs more water pressure, tub is great. Hotel itself breaths history and every space is lovely and very enjoyable. Open fires with comfortable chairs to enjoy a good glass of wine or whiskey. Bar is cozy, terras very pretty. Restaurant is modern and well decorated. Menu with Asian influences and food is delicious, specially the oysters were great.

Lovely castle hotel and accommodation was very comfortable Setting is just by a forest with some very lovely, easy walks Interior was quite quirky and different Only negative was breakfast which was extremely basic. Only 2 choices of meat and cheese. No fish. Minimal fruit. No milk available for cereal which was just granola

Lovely hotel, ideal for a carefree holiday. Exquisite cuisine and helpful staff. Atmosphere that invites you to stay in the lounge for a long time. The surroundings invite you for long walks in the forest. Utrecht is very close and well accessible by bicycle or public transportation.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and it was a good experience. Very friendly staff, clean beautiful rooms and excellent dining. Very well kept hotel and convenient with parking. Rooms are well decorated. We will come back. J&C

Pleasant surprise... Beautiful property, nice room, very good food, really friendly staff and great value for money. Quiet location in the outskirts of lovely town Zeist and not far from Utrecht. Well recommended!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Wish we could have stayed longer. Staff were exceptional and the area is just breath taking, lots or greenery, stunning stone buildings and the sound of chirping birds. Highly recommend.

Lovely building externally and the bar and restaurant area but the room was a let down. Bathroom was very dated and bed not exactly comfortable.
