Magnificent especially the breakfast

I had the most lovely stay at Hotel Monte Rosa in magical Zermatt. It was my first time visiting, definitely not my last. Started with the cutest taxi pick up at the train station to the kind and most welcoming staff at check in. Then off to the gorgeous, spacious and ever so comfortable room, with a view of the Matterhorn and snowy mountains. The bed and bedding were heavenly, the towels so soft and that shower...did not want to get out! Breakfasts and tea time were delicious. Housekeeping and the restaurant team were so nice. So much history here at the Monte Rosa. Included in my stay was access to the spa at their sister hotel, Mont Cervin. What a treat to be able to swim, use the hot tubs and glorious saunas! Hotel Monte Rosa is a very special place. You can feel the love. A huge thank you to George and Iliana at reception. We stayed at Monte Rosa for 3 nights - we had two rooms, one was a suite. Everything was perfect. We had an amazing stay. The rooms are beautiful and the service was great. The thing that really stood out was the front desk service - especially Georges. It was so nice to see him when we did the key exchange! We also used the spa and pool and they are amazing - Magdalena and Jozefina were outstanding in the spa. I would highly recommend Hotel Monte Rosa!

The Monte Rosa is a small cosy hotel in the centre of Zermatt. All the staff are friendly, efficient and eager to please especially K-Marie, Lliana and Georgios. Breakfast is a highlight with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes. We will certainly return to this gem in the future.

Absolutely great hotel! The service level is very good from reception to breakfast. Ski locker room works very good and the taxi arrangments from bahnhof and back by Monte Rosa was excellent. The reception guided us regarding skiing options in an excellent and helped us in restaurant bookings. We will come again!

If you value superb, old-school hospitality and service, this is the hotel for you. This historical hotel is beautiful and exudes relaxed style but the exceptional staff make this place truly special. It's clear that the staff enjoy working here. Every single staff member is happy and welcoming and all are professional to perfection. Special mentions should go to front of house staff Giorgio and Illiana and indeed to all the breakfast staff. We loved our recent week stay at Monte Rosa and you will too. Flawless five star service and facilities in this hotel. Thank you Monte Rosa!

In the middle of Zermatt with a historic touch. Great big room and a lovely, friendly and helpful service. One can relax in a nice surrounding. Very clean rooms. Allthough the price is high enjoy a lovely holiday in the Hotel Montana.

Monte Rosa is by far the best hotel in Zermatt. The location is perfect, The staff go above and beyond, rooms are traditional and very comfy. Breakfast is great, so many options. Everything was perfect. Thank you all for making my stay so wonderful ☺️

Hotel Monte Rosa is in a great location. It is easy to access and centrally located. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are comfortable. The restaurant and bar are great. Definitely a great place to stay while exploring Zermatt.

Having had to change our plans at the last minute we found ourselves at this very charming and historic hotel by chance. I had heard of the Monte Rosa Zermatt but it did not seem quite what I was after for this trip. Having arrived there into the very centre of Zermatt we were immediately captivated by its location, views, history and intimate charm that the beautiful five star sister hotel (less than 100 m away and fully accessible to guests of this hotel) could not quite provide despite its opulence and impeccable qualities. We stayed in the Whymper Suite which I would struggle to fault, I can honestly say that there is not a better place to stay in Zermatt, it’s delivered on every level! With the exception of the rather peculiar two beds pushed together for a couple arrangement that I can never fathom in some European countries… (Perhaps couples are less romantic… I’m not sure)…this was as close to perfection as I could ask. When I return to Zermatt it could not be to any other hotel… Luis, concierge off some 35 years and the whole team were as accommodating and friendly as you could ask despite us being there at the very busiest time of year. If you are looking for something a little understated but with wonderful substance then you should give this place a try!

The best hotel service we have ever had and we travel very often. Everything from picking us at the train station until dropping us off a week later was simply perfect. We had the open suite which was spacious with two bathrooms. We had direct view of the Matterhorn. The room was clean with great service daily. We felt extremely pampered. The spa at the sister hotel was superb and we used it daily. The staff was the friendliest I have ever seen, and we could not be more thankful. I will definitely book the monte rosa again if and when we are back at Zermatt

A beautiful quaint hotel in the heart of Zermatt. Easy walking everywhere. Rooms lovely and plenty of space. View of the Matterhorn also nice on the balcony. We came for a long weekend and were not disappointed. The bar/restaurant was also good.

We have spent 1 night at Monte Rosa. What we have loved the most is definitely the staff who was adorable ! Smiling, kind, happy to help. Service is great, the fact to have the tea time offered and the SPA entrance is really a plus (and justify the price). The hotel is nicely decorated and cozy, we felt a bit like we were back in time, bed are super comfortable, however we hear quite a lot what is happening in the corridors. Breakfast is really good with a lot of choice. SPA was maybe the thing we liked the less, as it is the SPA from the palace we were expecting high quality, the swimming pool and jacuzzi have nothing special. Thank you for your kidness

Perfect from A to Z. Every little detail from reception, room size, breakfast, value for money, service to location. Very family friendly and super authentic Swiss chic! I can only warmly recommend to try it out.
