Zhoushan Putuo District 5-star Hotels

Good location, no beach, but at least with a car easy to go to nice beaches in short time. Otherwise in the middle of lots of restaurants, outlets and entertainment Cleanliness: Well.... 4-5 stars for the a bit old but well maintained (and for kids lovely decorated) room. 1-2 stars for the restaurant with sticky floor, sticky tables and for 2nd floor lobby toilet max. 1 star. Main issue and absolutely not Hilton standard: the breakfast. Neither Chinese (my wife is Chinese and tried it) nor western food meet any Hilton standards. No fresh fruit juice, old and dirty coffee machines. The staff was very helpful though and tried to soften the obvious issues. Which leds to the conclusion: this hotel seems to have a severe management problem. I would rather not choose it again. Especially as it was way too expensive. We paid 1700+ RMB per night (2 adults, one kid) including said breakfast.

Facilities: Overall, it’s okay. I want to have a better night’s stay when I take my baby to Putuo Mountain. I want to find a hotel with a swimming pool so that my baby can play in the water. The garden view room I originally booked was upgraded to a sea view room for free. Looking at the outside area, the hotel has a wave pool and an outdoor swimming pool. It is estimated that it will be lively in summer, and it is suitable for children to play in the water. There is no water in the off-season now. Environment: There are many seafood restaurants within a 200-meter walk, which are very convenient to eat. Spring afternoon tea set: salty desserts are more delicious.

All in all, my husband and I had a very pleasant stay at Xiangsheng Grand Hotel on Putuo Mountain Island. The Island is a real retreat if you manage to keep away from the masses that are pouring into some of the amazing temples ... not all and not at all times though ... The hotel itself looks very beautiful and it is kind of build on the rocks looking onto the sea. We had a room with a balcony with ocean view and we loved this fact - even the big amount of rain we got on ”our” Putuoshan weekend didn't disturb this. The room itself was quite big and clean, as was the bathroom. Towels and bedding were up to standard. The only thing that bothered a bit was the smell in the room - smoker (although they did some fresh air trea**ent) and also a bit moldy ... but with the possibility to open the windows (and a working AC when the windows were colsed) it was bearable and didn't destroy the overall good impression. The hotel also has an indoor pool and a beautiful outdoor pole with bar, but unfortunately both were closed ... The breakfast buffet was very typical Chinese, but quite big, so we definitly found something that we liked and didn't have to start the day hungry. Both mornings, my husband had a freshly made noodle soup with veggies that he liked very much. There were also pastries and fruits offered. For coffee drinkers I would recommend to take your own favorite coffee drip bags and then just add hot water as the coffee that was avaible for breakfast was sweetened and with milk powder - not my cup of coffee! The hotel employees, especially one really kind lady, were quite helpful and friendly. We were happy to use the shuttle buses of the hotel that picked us up from the ferry terminal and also dropped us there on the way back - the busses also got us to special stops on the island, from which we could reach every place worth visiting. The hotel gave us big umbrellas to use during the day - very useful service as we got tons of rain. All over an enjoyable time out and very much recommandable!

I have stayed at Putuo Hotel or Prajna Jingshe in Putuo Mountain 5 times. It is a habit and also because it is comfortable. It is convenient to take a bus and eat around the hotel. There are also some opening accessories made of the same material as the jade Guanyin of Nanhai Guanyin in the hotel lobby shop. The hotel concierge department provides contact charter service for convenient travel. This is the first time to stay in this room type. It is a double-bedroom interconnecting room composed of a king-size bed suite + a standard room, with two bathrooms and a bathtub in the king-size bed suite, which is suitable for a family of old and young. The free mineral water in the room is limited, and the excess is charged at the cost price of 2 yuan per bottle.

The hotel's epidemic prevention is still relatively good. Because it was from Shanghai, it prepared a nucleic acid report 48 hours in advance. The hotel checked the nucleic acid report, green code, and itinerary code, which is quite reassuring. The front desk has upgraded the executive room with a bonus executive lounge. The room has a side sea view. You can lie on the bed and watch the fireworks at night, but you can't see it in Shanghai. Except that the elevator is a bit noisy in the morning, everything else is good. Breakfast is average, holiday ends at 11, Omelet is too old, but has bak kut teh and seafood noodles not to be missed. When we checked out, Steven asked us about our stay and explained the reason why the Putuo Mountain Temple is not open to the public. We can understand it. After all, it is all for the Buddha. Many people went to Putuo Mountain during the May Day holiday. This time I chose Kaiyuan Guantang. The hotel has a beautiful environment and is quiet in a bustling city. It is next to Fayu Temple and walk to Qianbusha. The housekeeper Xiao Wu contacted me one day in advance about the boat pick-up. After arriving, I checked in smoothly and received very good service. Thanks to Xiao Wu. I will continue to choose Kaiyuan Guantang next time

Hygiene: As soon as I entered the room and was about to take a rest, I saw hair on both beds, which really affected my mood. I was speechless about the hygiene level of this hotel! Environment: The external environment of the hotel and the decoration of the room are very good Service: The hotel's guest rooms and lobby need to be transported back and forth, and the time to call a taxi in the room is very fast. Basic luggage service is available. Hotel guests can swim for free, the environment is good, but the changing room and shower area are too cold. There is no spin-drying for swimsuits in the swimming pool, but it is OK in the warm soup.

When I came to Putuo Mountain before, I basically stayed at the Putuo Mountain Hotel. This was my first time staying at the Radisson Hotel. The hotel has a beautiful environment, surrounded by green trees, and the rooms are neat and clean. It is very convenient to get in and out. There is a minibus station just outside the door. The hotel gave me Buddhist beads when I checked in. , the hotel also provided pick-up and drop-off services. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant that night. Manager Xie on duty was very enthusiastic and provided us with a good dining service. We were very satisfied with our two-night stay and will come back next time!

Zhoushan Qingshizi Holiday Manor is really unique. It is completely different from the general hotel accommodation experience. It is really a very special trip. There is a small beach next to the hotel. When the tide is low in the afternoon, you can find small crabs in the stones. Early in the morning when the tide is high, you can play with the waves, and the children have a lot of fun!

Pretty nice hotel, kind of pricey. Overall a pretty nice hotel experience, stayed here twice
