Stayed here for 2 nights. I would to thank Ms Diana Zhao, Ms Lisa Wu, and Ms Sunny Ye at the front desk for going the extra mile. They expedited the check in and check out process, helped me with the carpark charges, recommended local food around the area, asked if room service was satisfactory, and highlighted some local attractions. Thanks again !

The walking street is very convenient, with lots of food, shops, and entertainment options. Food delivery is also super fast. The staff are very friendly and responsive, always ready to answer questions and even recommend cherry blossom viewing spots. The smart room is very clean and hygienic. The projector screen is huge, perfect for watching videos from your phone, and the staff even provide detailed instructions on how to set it up.

Perfect Hotel for business travellers. Hotel is brand new, rooms are spacious, high ceilings, amazing view of the river and the city. Very comfortable to work from, no wifi issues. Bathroom is amazing, again, a feeling that everything is brand new. The breakfast was foreigner friendly, with cereals, orange juice, toast, marmalade and great coffee. The views from the restaurant (top floor) are amazing. Lots of parking, staff super friendly, high speed chargers across the road and a Wanda mega mall on the other side with western restaurants and a Luckin Coffee. I was amazed, I've stayed in Suizhou hotels in the past, in the city center, but this is next level. I didn't take a picture but a small detail that sums up this hotels level of service was they gave me 2 new bottles of water every day. I ended up with 8 bottles of water (i don't drink water but i made a few coffees in the room). How many hotels keep adding waters to the room. If i ever go to Suizhou again i will definitly stay here. FYI: Suizhou is a small town, but this hotel is not in the center. This hotel is perfect for business, quick access to the city, quick access to the motorway. I saw the center of Suizhou once... so to be honest no need to see it again...

My family and I came to Wuhan for a trip, and a friend recommended this hotel. We booked a suite, and it was really spacious with two bathrooms and very clean. The hotel's location is also super convenient, right in the middle of Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, making it easy to get anywhere. The room service staff were all very welcoming. It offers great value for money and was a fantastic experience overall.

The hotel boasts a grand and elegant design. Although it opened in 2010 (and was renovated in 2020), the interior facilities are meticulously maintained and show no signs of age. The mini-bar is chargeable, but the front desk kindly provided two complimentary drink vouchers upon check-in, which was a nice touch. During my stay, there were a few minor hiccups (such as an opened bath salt from a previous guest not being replaced, and an empty lotion bottle not being refilled), but thankfully, the responses were very prompt. A special thanks to Leah at the front desk for her help! ๐ŸŒน The most delightful part of my stay was undoubtedly the Executive Lounge. It wasn't crowded, so it was quiet, and tables were cleared very quickly. The food selection was impressive. Dining there offered close-up views of the river, which was a wonderful experience. Breakfast the next day was also quite good, with a decent spread of Chinese, Western, pastries, and fruits โ€“ everything you'd expect. Overall, both the hotel's amenities and service are excellent, living up to their expected standards. However, given its age, some facilities and items inevitably show a bit of wear and tear (like the bathtub in the room or the dining plates in the restaurant). There's still room for improvement in some minor details, but generally, it was a very good experience.

Choosing Building No. 2 at Donghu Hotel Tingtao for my first trip to Wuhan was definitely the right decision. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with towering trees everywhere and a vast bamboo forest. Donghu Lake is right outside Building No. 2, and seeing the shimmering water every day, along with the fresh scent of plants in the air, made me incredibly happy. The hotel rooms are very clean, and the service is excellent; the electric shuttle in the park is almost always available on demand. You can also book a visit to Chairman Mao's former residence and take a shuttle tour of the grounds. The guest rooms even have robots that deliver takeout very quickly. The only downside was the mediocre breakfast; we only booked it for one day and ate out for the rest of our stay. If I ever go to Wuhan again, I'll definitely stay here.

We chose this hotel for our Chinese New Year trip, and it was very kid-friendly! The staff even prepared amenities for children. The lobby had a strong New Year atmosphere, and the staff were very kind to the little ones. The surrounding area has complete facilities, making it easy to take the kids out. The front desk service was also incredibly warm and welcoming, and the location is super convenient, right next to Wanda Plaza, so shopping and dining are just a stone's throw away. The hotel facilities are also comprehensive. Highly recommended!

Hotel near Qianshan Hot Spring Area,Xianning 37.9% of visitors choose this area
MMolin 2025.08.11
This was my first visit to Country Garden Xianning, and I truly felt it's the best hotel in the area. Yet, the official photos make it look quite old and dated, which always led us to travel further to Chibi for hot springs. In actuality, both the hotel's ambiance and the room conditions far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant environment was lovely, and the breakfast was hearty. They really should consider updating their promotional images! We were upgraded to a room with a spacious bay window. We asked a staff member for an extra duvet, and the kids absolutely loved playing on it! The Water World is located just across the road from the hotel, with a convenient shuttle service. While the hot springs remain the main draw, they've also added a wave pool and a bubble pool. The large slide is unfortunately out of commission, but for those not keen on thrilling rides, there's still plenty to enjoy. The wave pool's waves were genuinely some of the largest I've encountered in any hotel-affiliated water park โ€“ far surpassing those at a certain family hotel newly opened in Wuhan, which charges double the price! The complimentary use of single and double swim rings is also a thoughtful touch. Finally, I must voice my disappointment regarding the kids' activities. The male staff member in charge showed extremely poor crowd control, leading to an utterly chaotic setup. They seriously need to learn from more competent peers in the industry. For starters, the activity content itself was poorly chosen. Knowing it was a weekend and would be busy, they should have anticipated the crowd and opted for simpler, quicker, and easier-to-manage crafts โ€“ something like making a lacquer fan or a TCM sachet, which a group could finish in 5-10 minutes. Instead, they went with the most complicated activity, causing everyone to pile into the room and complain. To top it off, the early start was only announced at the last minute. To make matters worse, they completely disregarded their own rules. Many guests complained that reservations were not honored, and people without reservations were also allowed to join. Even if we overlook the multiple booking groups, the main issue was that anyone who simply ignored the rules could just grab materials and start participating immediately. So, for an activity clearly intended for children, you'd see a family of three: the little boy making two items, his mom making one, and his dad occupying a seat as well. I've been to numerous family hotels where, during off-peak dining hours, they utilize banquet halls for activities, ensuring ample seating for parents to accompany their children at the same table. In situations with limited seating, children typically sit at the activity table while parents use small stools beside them. The priority is always to allow as many children as possible to participate simultaneously, and materials are only distributed to seated kids. I've genuinely never witnessed such disorganization where materials are handed out first, leading to a scramble for seats. What I found most incomprehensible was this: since many parents were waiting, they had their children playing in an adjacent area. One parent controversially took all the toys, preventing other kids from playing, which naturally sparked a heated argument with other parents. The dispute lasted quite a while and escalated. I even had to interject, 'It's getting pretty intense; aren't you going to send someone to de-escalate?' The male staff member simply replied that he was too swamped with people today and wasn't going to get involved. I countered, 'By the time you're free, they might actually be physically fighting!' After a moment's thought, he made a call and summoned another staff member, but offered no guidance or handover. Consequently, the female staff member, completely unaware of the situation, ended up trying to placate a different guest who was complaining about the activity schedule. Meanwhile, the original two parents continued their shouting match for a while longer. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Frankly, if they can't even monitor or control the situation, they are entirely unfit to manage kids' activities. These activities really turned into a major negative point.

SShalinda WIf you donโ€™t speak the local language, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was incredibly difficult getting both on, and off the mountain โ€œscenic areaโ€. Some hotels in Trip reached out to us in advance to help coordinate transportation, this one does not. Your only way to contact the hotel is by calling, which isnโ€™t feasible if you donโ€™t speak the language. The hotel website showed that parking was available, so I thought we would be able to get there by DiDi, as long as I paid the fee to get the car into the park. This was not the case. We did see private vehicles, but Iโ€™m not sure what goes into that, but I believe 4 wheel drive is one requirement. So with our luggage, he dropped us off at the base of the mountain. It took a little while to get to the ticket office, you have to walk up several stairs and through a cobblestone market to get there, so we got nice and sweaty and uncomfortable. From there, you take a bus (ours had no underside luggage stowage) about halfway up to another stop. We had to awkwardly hold our luggage in the aisle of a full bus, while going up-hill and doing switch-backs. Everyone gets off about halfway-way up, at a station with several different buses. We asked for help and someone pointed us to the correct one. From the final bus stop up top, it was a short walk to the hotel. We figured going down would be much smoother, but after getting off the first bus, we accidentally got on the wrong one and started going back up. Overall, took us about 2.5 hours from the airport to the hotel, then just over three hours from hotel to the HSR station. Minor descriptions for the room were inaccurate. Ours was listed as on floor 3 or 4, it was actually basement level. The hotel is in the edge of the mountain, so it still had a scenic view. The window in our room was dirty (I expected more for what we were paying). The hand soap in the bathroom was in a re-used bottle and was watered down. Listed amenities said sauna and massage room, there are neither here (nor was there an offer of other local places to go when I asked). The breakfast food was amazing, including a hot, fresh bar with a chef making eggs and noodles. I wasnโ€™t able to partake in the noodles one day because of the language barrier. Hotel staff was more hesitant than other places weโ€™ve stayed in using translation tools and I felt like too much of an inconvenience in using them to ask for noodles. There is bottled water in the rooms, you can ask for more for free (they friended me via WeChat on Check-In and is largely how we communicated). There is free tea and snacks in the afternoon, the hotel was quiet so we were able to take up one of two seats that had an amazing view outside. The staff working the tea time was great and super courteous. You can hike to South Crag Palace and Nanyan Palace by foot, both are absolutely stunning. In summary, if we were to visit the area again, I would stay at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain (not in the scenic area) and use the day exploring/getting lost on the bus. While the view was great, it simply wasnโ€™t worth the high price and the difficulty in getting there for non-locals. If I knew a hotel in the scenic area would reach out to me in advance to assist, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, with the way Trip.com works right now, hotels have to initiate that, guests cannot. I donโ€™t recommend this hotel for non-native speakers.

GGuest UserAttended a Nicholas Tse concert over the weekend. Didn't book a place near the stadium, but stayed by the river, and the river view was great, plus the room was quiet. Couldn't see the light show because it was cloudy and rainy. It's located on a high floor of the Ping An Tower, so the view is excellent. The location is superb, with the subway and pedestrian street right downstairs. The Zhou Hei Ya was delicious, and the crayfish were big and very tasty!

GGuest UserThe 270-degree river view room offers an unbeatable view. There's no need to splurge on an executive floor; even mid-level floors provide a nice view of the greenery. Watching the light show from 7-10 PM while enjoying a bubble bath is pure bliss! It's super close to Huangpi South Road, and I highly recommend staying here when visiting Wuhan. The only minor issue is that the riverside road can be a bit congested during peak hours, but booking a taxi in advance easily solves that problem, especially given the hotel's excellent location. The heated pool and 24-hour gym are a lifesaver after indulging in some carbs!

GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious and well-designed. My husband and I were traveling together and worried about not sleeping well, so we each had our own room with two bathrooms, ensuring no disturbances. The location is also very convenient, with a mall downstairs and the subway just a short walk away, making shopping, dining, and getting around very easy. The downside is that while the soundproofing within the room was good โ€“ my husband's snoring didn't bother me โ€“ I'm quite sensitive to noise, and the sound of water being used from either the next room or upstairs, or the air conditioning starting up, would still affect me in the middle of the night. Also, the trash can in the bathroom was foot-pedal operated, which was quite odd, especially since it was positioned behind me. You'd either have to move it to your feet, which was a hassle. Finally, although the deposit was refunded quite promptly after check-out, I don't really see the necessity of paying a deposit anymore. Many five-star hotels now allow you to stay on credit without a deposit, so there's no need to add unnecessary inconvenience for guests.

GGuest UserI traveled some time ago and had a great experience staying there. I must share it! As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I was attracted by its grand and elegant appearance. As you step into the lobby, you will find it spacious and bright, with exquisite decoration and pleasant fragrance, which will instantly dispel your travel fatigue. The front desk staff was enthusiastic and efficient, checked us in quickly, and introduced the hotel facilities attentively. The room was even more stunning. The space layout is reasonable and the lighting is excellent. The bedding is soft and comfortable. Lying down feels like being wrapped in clouds. The sleep quality is excellent. The bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and the toiletries are of high quality and full of details. The service was first class. Whether it's helping to call a taxi or recommending local attractions, the staff are always responsive and warm and thoughtful. One time I accidentally left something behind, and the staff contacted me immediately after discovering it and kept it properly until I retrieved it. It was so heartwarming. The environment, facilities and services were impeccable in every aspect. I highly recommend it to everyone. Next time I travel, I will definitely choose here again!
