Clean and hygienic, with excellent service. It's right next to Odori Park and very close to Tanukikoji. The beds are surprisingly large for Japan; two single beds pushed together can easily accommodate a family of three. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit of a walk from the subway station. However, there's an airport shuttle bus stop just two blocks from the hotel, about a 5-minute walk, and it's cheaper than taking the subway.

You can find this hostel by typing ”theatel” into Google Maps, and the navigation is pretty accurate. It's located on the third floor of a building with two entrances. One entrance has ”F-45” written on it, and there's a floor directory next to it (with the hostel's name listed on the 3rd-floor section). The other entrance has a huge 'egg' shaped sculpture in front of it. Near this egg sculpture, you can see the famous landmark beer billboard (featuring an old foreign man's face). You can also see the hostel's name when you enter the building from behind the egg sculpture. Take the elevator to the third floor, and after exiting, turn right to find the front desk. Sometimes the front desk is unattended, but there's a tablet nearby with a QR code. Just scan it with your phone's camera to self-check-in (you'll need to enter a four-digit reservation code). The female-only section has a code-locked door (I received the code on my phone during self-check-in, and also in the email I provided when I made the reservation). After entering the code, there are two more doors: one leads to the accommodation area (my capsule bed was very clean and soft, came with two hangers, a bath towel, a blackout curtain at the entrance, a power outlet by the headboard, an overhead storage cabinet, a box of tissues, and a pair of indoor slippers at the foot of the bed). The other door leads to the washroom area (which I thought was cleverly designed). The innermost part has several shower stalls + changing areas, all equipped with shower gel and shampoo. Outside of that, there are a few coin-operated washing machines, and further out, two rows of sinks. There are stools under the sinks, and hand towels and hairdryers on top. Next to the sinks, in a separate area, are several toilets. The entire washroom area was very clean, and I actually found the toilet paper quality to be quite good. Perhaps influenced by the widely held belief about 'quiet Japanese society,' the entire hostel was very quiet. I booked and paid in advance through an online platform, so I didn't have to pay anything extra from check-in to check-out. On the wall above the foot of my capsule bed, there was a 'check-in guide' (with the Wi-Fi name and password, and a check-out QR code). You need to check out before 10 AM by scanning the code and confirming. I was very satisfied with my stay.

We stayed for 5 nights and it was amazing, the hotel is connected to the shopping street and it is super convenient in accessing around the city. The public bath was so gooood, relaxing and clean. Our room was big enough for suitcases and they even got Refa hair dryer to try. The hotel is also closed to the bus stop for airport, really convenient andrecommended.

The hotel was very nice. We got the corner rooms (208-209) and they had nothing to complain about. Spacious than most standard rooms in Japan. Our room has sofa and a table. Separate toilet, washing basin zone, and the shower room has a bathtub and a shower head separately. (I don't like thw combination one so i purposely chose this type of room) The cleanliness was superb, you can put the card on the bed and the sticker at the door to sign them to help clean the room and change the bed sheet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, robes, air humidifier, kettler, few glasses and mugs, air freshener spray, slippers, laundry bag (for laundry service). Staff were nice, breakfast buffet was great (no need to book in advance, can pay upfront) The closest stations are the Tozai Line (orange): Nishi juitchome and the Namboku, Toho, Tozai Line: Odori station.

Hotel near Nakajima Park,Sapporo

Facilities: A bit old, as it's been around for over a decade, but still very refined and tidy, with a feel of a fading noble. The hotel has pretty complete amenities; the only downside is the lack of a laundry room. You have to walk a bit to find a paid laundromat outside (perhaps because they figure only winter visitors come to Hokkaido, and you barely need a shower in winter, right? (laughs)). Hygiene: Very clean, fitting for a five-star hotel's positioning and price point. Environment: Located next to Nakajima Park. From my room, I could see the vast white snow of Nakajima Park below. It's a bit far from the city center (around 800m), but very quiet at night. You can take the JR or walk to the city center, and the experience is still very good. Service: Standard five-star hotel service; all expected services are well provided.

We were a family of 3. Room was spacious enough for our 3 luggages. TV also had information regarding the status of the onsen and washing machine which was a nice touch. The counter staff also spoke good English and were generally very helpful. The free drinks in the lounge and bottled water in the room were very welcome too.

The location is great, just a 10-minute walk from Hakodate Station. The off-season price was really good, and the room was very clean. There are plenty of izakayas and ramen shops right downstairs, plus convenience stores nearby. The hotel offers express check-out, and there's a water dispenser in the hallway. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hakodate.

The room isn't huge, but it's well-equipped, clean, and tidy. The front desk staff were polite, and overall, I had a great experience. The location is super close to Tanukikoji, and from there, you can easily walk through the underground shopping street to Susukino or Sapporo Station. Highly recommended!

This hotel boasts an excellent location, situated above Cocono with a mall and cinema downstairs. It's seamlessly connected to Susukino subway station underground. I took the airport bus from New Chitose to Minami 3-jo, and it was just a 5-minute walk to the hotel. Sapporo isn't very big, so most places are only one or two stops away by subway, or even walkable if you're up for it. Dining and shopping options are very convenient; Tanukikoji is close by, and there's a *** (likely referring to a convenience store or similar, but kept as is since it's unclear) not far downstairs. When leaving, the airport bus stop is just across the street, a 2-minute walk, making trips to the airport super convenient. The breakfast buffet is also very rich, with main dishes rotated daily, including roast meat bowls, Wagyu beef bowls, and seafood bowls. I booked a larger twin room, and it was indeed more spacious than typical rooms, with enough space to open luggage. This will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Sapporo.

First off, a huge shout-out to the exquisite breakfast! It might not be the most lavish, but it's perfectly balanced, elegant, and delicious – a true Michelin-star-in-the-making. Secondly, the grand lobby completely breaks away from the typical cramped Japanese layouts, making you feel like you've stepped into the glorious Tang Dynasty. The rooms are just as impressive. This is hands down the best choice for a transit stay or before an international flight.

Amazing
I chose this hotel for my family because the room was spacious, which was very important to us as we wanted our child to have enough space to move around comfortably. The hotel is new and very clean, exactly as we expected. The complimentary drinks for all guests were a lovely touch. There was a good variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, along with popcorn, which made us feel very welcomed. What impressed me the most, however, was how considerate and helpful the staff were. We checked out very early at 6:00 am during a snowstorm. In the middle of our journey, I realized that I had left one of my bags behind—the one containing my passport and valuable items. I immediately called the hotel and asked if it would be possible to send the bag to the airport, as returning to the hotel ourselves would definitely cause us to miss our flight. The receptionist (I’m very sorry that I can’t remember her name) took my situation very seriously and contacted her manager to request authorization to delegate a staff member to bring my passport to the airport, since they could not leave an unattended bag in a taxi. I had offered to cover all expenses, but what truly stood out was their willingness to help without hesitation. Ms. Wu was the staff member who personally brought my passport to the airport. With her honesty, urgency, and care, I honestly don’t know how I would have made it back to my hometown. I cannot thank her and the hotel team enough for what they did for us. I truly believe I made the right choice staying here, and I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit.

We had a really fantastic time at Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort which was a once in a lifetime experience for us. The area is beautiful and the spa has everything you need for a fantastic and relaxing stay. We stayed in a Premier Suite and the rooms are fantastic - fully equipped and spacious with all amenities, and a fantastic private Onsen to relax in.The staff at the spa were extremely friendly and helpful, and attentive to all of our needs. We'd love to come back some time and would highly recommend!

We stayed in a nice big family room for 4 which actually can accommodate 6 guests. Recommend for bigger families. The view from our room is amazing during a clear snowy morning… but the Sapporo experience is even better during a snowy winter night! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be close to Susukino, Odori Park and Tanukikoji Shopping Street. Everything is close by but not too crowded and noisy. 👍👍👍

I would like to share a few words with you about our feeling of coming back to your Park Hyatt Hanazono hotel from 29/3/2024 to 3/4/2024. We are beginners of skiing, therefore, our first choice is a ski-in and ski-out hotel. Therefore, last year we came to your hotel and we came back again for further improvement of our skiing. We travelled a long way from the airport to your hotel for almost over 3 hours. However, we didn't receive a warm welcome from your hotel by the time we got out of our car. By the time we checked-in, the handling time took much longer than I expected, maybe we all felt tired after long travelling and wanted to go up to our room. Another guest who was sitting next to me seemed to complain about your service to another staff.. When we arrived at our room, only 3 mandarins were put on the table to welcome us but they did not look very attractive. Next morning, the breakfast was as good as last year, because nothing more had changed. But again, not very welcoming. Our dishes were piling up on the table long before they were taken away. That was not the case last year. We asked guest service to fold up the sofa bed as we wanted it to be more spacious. However, I called several to get it done when we came back from skiing in the evening. But we clearly said we could do it when we were out in the daytime. We booked 2 adults and 1 child, however, we could only find 3 adult clothes for onsen. We called guest service to provide us with child cloth for onsen. However, after tidying up, they provided us with another 3 sets of clothes for onsen again. So, my daughter wore oversized clothes to the onsen. It was not like this when we first came here last year. Luckily, on the third day, we met a new and young manager during breakfast, we received a warm welcoming smile for the first time. We chatted for a while and my daughter felt happy with him. Last year, my daughter made some friends here with your staff and learnt some Japanese from your staff. That made her like the Japanese culture and language. Ironically, after folding up the sofa bed, they mistakenly mixed up my daughter white colored soft toy - cinnamoroll - with the bed sheets for the laundry. Luckily, maybe with the help of the young guy, we found it back. My daughter was so delighted, thanks for all your efforts, but however, the soft toy had been shrunk by the laundry machine. The inner tubing was one of our favors in Park Hyatt Hotel, however, it looked obscenity and did not match with the natural scenery and the well-designed architecture surroundings at all. It looked like a facility in a developing country. Next Easter holiday was a late holiday, maybe no more snow for skiing. Originally we had planned to come again with whole families of six for skiing. Maybe it is high time for us to look for another ski-in ski-out hotel, though I have promised the young guy to meet him next year.

Staff in the restaurant are excellent. Speak good English and is very friendly and willing to help and serve at all times. We forgot the breakfast time ends at 9am and we only started 8.30am. The old lady in the restaurant kindly offered us to bring unfinished food back to our room to finish them. She even brought us tissue papers making sure we have everything we need. The onsen is nice and in traditional Japanese style. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely come again.
