The Colorful Beach in Burqin is a wonder of the world

Located at the entrance of the Kanas scenic area, Jiadengyu is fresh and cool in the morning. After starting the new F76M86, a turn is made, and then we follow the same route as yesterday towards Hemu for a while on the mountain road. The road is busy with traffic, as tourism in this earthly paradise is booming. After driving for dozens of minutes, we pass through the Hailiutan Tunnel, then through Chonghuer, speeding towards Burqin. From Kanas to the Colorful Beach, the weather is clear. The grass in Kanas is lush, and herds of cattle and sheep abound; gradually, the greenery recedes, the Gobi takes the stage, the view widens, and the road is straight. With such grand scenery, we sing with the autumn breeze and laugh all the way to Qihe. At 11 am, wind farms fill the view, with tall blades spinning non-stop. The silver-white wind turbines dazzle under the sunlight, and the Colorful Beach is right before our eyes. With less cloud, we use our ID cards to buy tickets—45 yuan for a full ticket if you're under 60, half-price for those 60-65, and free for those over 65. Most of us qualify for half-price tickets, and we simply scan our IDs and half-price QR codes to enter. Upon entering the Colorful Beach, we specifically look at the introduction. It is located within the territory of Burqin County, about 24 kilometers southeast of the county seat. This area is a typical karst landform affected by dissolution, with an altitude of around 500 meters. The scenic area covers an area of 1,400 mu, including 300 mu of Yardang landforms, and is known as the 'Number One Beach in Xinjiang'. In November 2008, it was upgraded to a 4A-level scenic spot. The Colorful Beach scenic area spans both banks of the Irtysh River, with the Yardang landforms on the north bank, undulating terrain, and bright colors, while the south bank features an oasis, forests, and desert, merging with the distant blue sky, naturally forming a scene of 'one river dividing two banks, as if two heavens'. Due to the higher terrain on the north bank, the south bank's landscape is fully visible. The Irtysh River is the only river in China that flows into the Arctic Ocean, flowing from southeast to northwest into Kazakhstan, and is the second largest river in Xinjiang after the Ili River. The river is gentle and wide, with a suspension bridge connecting the north and south banks, known as the 'Aktube Steel Cable Bridge', organically connecting the green river valley and the Yardang landforms on the opposite bank. Compared with Xinjiang's famous Colorful Bay and Devil City, the Colorful Beach not only has Yardang landforms but also integrates rivers, forests, suspension bridges, and the Sister Islands in the middle of the river into one landscape. The large wind turbines on the north bank of the scenic area add a dynamic and energetic melody to visitors' experience. This combination of landscape elements creates a wonderful tapestry, especially the 'Colorful Beach Sunset', which has become a top choice for many self-driving tourists. We can't wait until evening to see the 'Colorful Beach Sunset', as we need to return to the county town for food and continue our journey to the World Devil City.
