Imagine a place that is tucked in between numerous beaches - some that won Awards for cleanliness and surfing conditions - and mighty cliffs with mysterious doorways; freshly made mussels in creamy white wine sauce, art and the scent of baked goodies luring you in the nearest bakery down the street... That is how I felt about my visit to St Ives in Cornwall. 🌊🐚🐟🦀 St Ives is a town in Cornwall, England, known for its surf beaches, like Porthmeor, and its art scene. It can be considered the dazzling jewel in Cornwall’s crown. A picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town. Voted best family holiday destination by Coast magazine and one of TripAdvisor’s top 10 European beaches. ⭐ THINGS TO DO ⭐ - Go for a hike – 1) the shorter and easier route is through The Island, passing through St Ives Head with stunning views of the town, and finishing up the hill at St Nicholas Chapel; 2) the longer more intermediate level is down the south west path – start from Man’s Head, then go up to Clodgy Point and Hellsveor Cliff for stunning sunset views; the path is quite long and you can continue all the way down to Zennor. - Go surfing or for a swim in one (or all!) of your favourite beaches – Porthgwidden, Porthmeor, Bamaluz, Harbour Sand or Porthminster beach. - Shop down pebbled streets, choosing from a variety of quality goods in independent shops down Fore Street (known as the shopping street in town). - Browse fantastic ocean-inspired art at West Coast Studios. - Venture out to Carbis Bay for an amazing ‘hidden’ beach and clam-covered cliffs and cave-like rocks. #tripblazers #mytripvlog #cornwall
