HARBIN’s CENTRAL AVENUE

Harbin For almost a century, Zhongyang Pedestrian Street, also known as Central Avenue, in downtown Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China, has been the most lucrative business centre. The street runs north to Harbin Flood Prevention Cenotaph Square and south to Xinyang Square. The entire roadway is divided into several sections, each with its own set and vehicles were not allowed to run along the street. The Central Avenue, which opened in 1898, has been labeled "a gallery of European architectural art" since it houses a large number of western structures, including Russian, Baroque, Renaissance, and other styles.
