NOLAN COPELAND

Jinjiang Wulin traditional village is a feast for the eyes with its orange hues, blending Minnan and Western architecture with that of Southeast Asia

Wulin traditional village is located in Jinjiang, Quanzhou, at the heart of the Minnan Golden Triangle, separated from Taiwan by a stretch of water, and surrounded by the sea on three sides. To the northeast, it connects to Quanzhou Bay, borders Shishi City to the east, faces the Taiwan Strait to the southeast, looks across to Kinmen Island to the south, borders Nan'an City to the west, and is adjacent to Licheng District to the north. The village was established during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, covering an area of about 1,000 mu, with a construction area of 60,000 square meters, and is home to more than 10,000 overseas Chinese, earning it the nickname 'Overseas Chinese Architecture Museum'.
