Dashidongyue Temple

Dashidongyue Temple: Commonly known as Jiangli Old Temple, it is a Taoist temple dedicated to the God of Mount Tai. It is located at the confluence of the nine rivers west of Jiangli Village, Longkou. The temple was originally built during the Qiandao period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1173). After several cycles of destruction and reconstruction, by the early Republic of China era, Dashidongyue Temple had already become quite large. It has since undergone further destruction and rebuilding to reach its current scale. The present temple is grand and magnificent, enshrining statues of the Great Emperor of the Eastern Peak, Cihang Daoist, the Earth God, the City God, the Ten Kings of Hell, and many other deities.
