A lesser-known diving destination in Mexico, the waters are crystal clear, yet there aren't many tourists

It took almost 5 hours to travel the less than 100 kilometers from Cabo San Lucas to Cabo Pulmo National Park. By the time we arrived, it was late at night, and only a few houses had lights on, creating an eerily quiet atmosphere, so my first impression of the destination wasn't very good. Cabo Pulmo is located on the western coastline of the Baja Peninsula, facing the clear waters of the Gulf of California, and is considered a niche tourist spot on the peninsula. Although it's called a national park, the forest isn't the main attraction here; it's the ocean. During the day, Cabo Pulmo is bustling with many tourists coming to dive. The waters here are so clear that you can see to the bottom, and the waves are quite strong. Just a few meters in, you can witness the famous 'jack fish storm,' which is the biggest selling point of this area. The ecological environment is very well preserved, and you can even see sea lions basking in the sun on the rocks. Visitors can choose to sail for a week to see the clear waters of the Gulf of California or experience scuba diving. Cabo Pulmo is only suitable for daytime activities, where you can enjoy Mexico's deep blue waters and intense sunshine. At night, the tourists disperse, and it becomes quiet and deserted. Since the surrounding facilities are not very well developed, there is little desire to stay.
