Phuket Island

Phuket (Thai: ภูเก็ต; English: Phuket), located in the southeastern part of the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean, is the only island in Thailand that has been granted provincial status. The island has a pristine environment and is a famous holiday destination. Phuket covers an area of 576 square kilometers and has a tropical monsoon climate. If you are visiting Thailand for the first time and want to experience natural scenery, Phuket is recommended. Phuket is one of the ten most beautiful islands in the world, known for its clear waters and visibility for snorkeling. There are many water activities on the island, such as swimming, diving, water skiing, canoeing, windsurfing, banana boating... A variety of aquatic and underwater sports will keep you dancing and too busy to rest. Many island tour shops will organize these activities for you, with transparent pricing (negotiable). I personally love to stay at the Marina Phuket Resort when visiting Phuket, with its independent treehouse villa rooms. The internet-famous restaurant, the Cliff Restaurant, is also located within the resort, and it's very nice to watch the sunset there (first picture)! There are many attractions on the island, and the combination of natural scenery and ancient architecture is well worth the visit.
