It is globally famous as a rock climbing and diving location.As compared to Phuket, Krabi is much more tranquil. The cost is cheaper as well. There are many outlying islands which are suitable for diving. Railay Beach here is a globally renowned site for rock climbing, and the lively Ao Nang beach is an exciting place to stay in. There are great diving sites such as Koh Lanta and Koh Rok in its surroundings.

Phi Phi Islands is one of the most famous outlying islands around Phuket. It is made up of 2 islands - Koh Phi Phi Don and Koh Phi Phi Le. Among the two of them, Koh Phi Phi Don has beautiful scenery and is stable in development, complete with hotels and restaurants.Koh Phi Phi Le is only suitable for snorkeling, and there are no hotels on the island.There is a vantage point at Koh Phi Phi Don, located in the center of Koh Phi Phi Don. You can overlook the entire Koh Phi Phi Don and even see the Double C Bay back to back of Ao Ton Sai and Loh Dalum Bay. It is especially beautiful during sunset.Follow the street signs and climb the mountain road next to Ao Ton Sai. A leisurely walk will bring you there in around an hour.

Koh Tao, also known as Turtle Island, is located to the north of Koh Samui. It is rich in coral reefs and marine life, and is the most famous diving site in Thailand. At the same time, it is a good place for obtaining your diving license.Every year, 60% of the world's divers obtain their certification here to dive into the blue underwater world.This small island is only for backpackers and divers. There are very few Asians on the island, as there is only diving and a Western hippie lifestyle here.Although there is no noisy business district here, there is no shortage of food, restaurants and bars on Koh Tao. 12km south of Phuket, Racha Island is one of the best diving sites near Phuket. Unlike noisy Phuket, the environment here is quiet and secluded, just like a “utopia”. People come to Racha Island to dive. Majority of them take a one-day trip to Phuket, but you can sign up to experience diving at the dive centers on the island. Those who have more time can even obtain their diving license here.Hotels can also be found at Racha Island, but the prices are expensive.
