Quanzhou, Fujian, is an ancient city. Quanzhou is very famous in history. It once ranked the largest port in the East and is the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. Especially after the Tang Dynasty, the Silk Road on the land began to decline, and the maritime Silk Road rose, and the status of Quanzhou became more and more important. Special historical status, this ancient city still retains many monuments. The most famous monument in the city is Kaiyuan Temple. There are many temples in Quanzhou, and Kaiyuan Temple ranks first in terms of scale and influence. Quanzhou Kaiyuan Temple was built in the second year of the Tang Dynasty (686 years), and was renamed Kaiyuan Temple during the Yuan Dynasty. Kaiyuan Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian Province. The buildings currently reserved are mainly built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Quanzhou and is now free. The most famous of the temple is the two stone towers. The east is the "town tower", which was built in Tang Xiantong six years (865 years). Today, the stone tower was rebuilt between the second year of Jiaxi in the Southern Song Dynasty (1238) and the ten years of Yuyou (1250). The West is the "Ren Shou Tower", which was built in the second year of the Five Dynasties Liang Shuming (916). This stone pagoda was rebuilt in the first year of the Southern Song Dynasty (1228) and the first year of Jiaxi (1237). The two stone towers of Kaiyuan Temple have become the symbol of the ancient city of Quanzhou, often appearing in various promotional films. This is the highest pair of stone towers in China.
