A modernist dream in Reus

About one hour drive south from Barcelona, the small city of Reus, is a cradle for modernist architecture. This city is not only the birthplace of the genius Antoni Gaudí, but it also has Europe’s most stunning interior of a modernist building: Casa Navàs. Designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner, one of the most prominent architects of the time - with Gaudí’s permission of course - this monument boasts the largest amount of colored stain glass all over European modernist artworks. Casa Navàs is located in the central square of Reus, walking distance from the train station or most of parking spaces in town. It can be visited through a guided tour that lasts about 1 hour. In this tour you will learn about Reus’ industrial past and the bourgeois family who used to own this house.
