Although the beauty of Jiuzhaigou has already made people linger, the style of Huanglong is completely different from that of Jiuzhaigou, offering a totally distinct experience. The colorful ponds of Huanglong are so breathtakingly beautiful that they give you a glimpse of the 'fairyland on earth'. You need to purchase the sightseeing bus ticket one day in advance, and there is a daily limit of 5000 tickets. If you don't buy in advance, you won't be able to get one on the day. Huanglong is located at a relatively high altitude, and most people will experience mild altitude sickness. If you, like me, are traveling with a child and haven't bought a sightseeing bus ticket, then I suggest you temporarily give up on visiting Huanglong. Currently, the main attraction of Huanglong is the colorful ponds. Without a sightseeing bus ticket, after taking the cable car, you still need to walk 8km. Plus, with an altitude of over 3200 meters, it's quite a challenge for most people. Not to mention when you're with a child, it's really tough on both the dad and the mom. Regarding altitude sickness: Several tourists fainted along the way up the mountain due to altitude sickness, and some even vomited. My teammate and I took turns carrying the child up and down the mountain without suffering from altitude sickness (a round trip of about 1.6 kilometers), and our 2-year-old also didn't experience any altitude sickness.
