Knight's Island Church (Swedish: Riddarholmskyrkan) is the funeral church of the Swedish monarch, located on the Knights Island of Stockholm, in the west of Stockholm's Old Town, where the Stockholm Royal Palace is located. The church community of the church was dissolved in 1807 and is currently only used for burial and memorial purposes. Magnus III Ladulos (died 1290), Carl VIII (died 1470), and Gustav II Adolf (died 1632) to Gustav V ( The Swedish monarchs who died in 1950 were buried here. The Knights Island Church is one of the oldest buildings in Stockholm, some of which date back to the late 13th century, when it was the Franciscan monastery. After the Reformation, the monastery was closed and changed to a Protestant church. During the reign of John II, a spire was added, which was destroyed by lightning on July 28, 1835. This generation was replaced by the current cast iron spire. The emblem of the Knights of the Salaf is on the church wall. When the Knights of the regiment died, his badge was hung in the church.
