Preparations The decision to go to Jilin was made hastily, which made the plane tickets a bit more expensive. Fortunately, at that time, the hype was all about Harbin, so train tickets were not hard to get, and the accommodation was a good value for money. Expense List Plane tickets: 2411 yuan (Chengdu round trip to Changchun) Accommodation: 482 yuan (3 nights) High-speed train: 225 yuan Changbai Mountain one-day tour: 108 yuan Fangchuan Tumen one-day tour: 302 yuan Puppet Manchukuo ticket: 70 yuan Quanhe Port ticket: 60 yuan Changchun airport pick-up: 85 yuan Total basic expenses: 3743 yuan DAY1: Chengdu Shuangliu to Changchun Longjia 19:40-23:10, an evening flight after work, with the main goal of not taking leave. After landing, stay at a hotel near Changchun Railway Station, convenient for taking the early morning train to Yanji West Station the next day. DAY2: Changchun Station to Yanji West Station, 5:35-7:59. Signed up for a Changbai Mountain Snow Ridge one-day tour. The gathering time is 8:30. After arriving at Yanji West Station, take a taxi directly to the meeting point, which is completely manageable. In choosing whether to go to Changbai Mountain or Changbai Mountain Snow Ridge, I hesitated for a long time and looked at many travel guides. Going to Changbai Mountain is mainly to see the Heavenly Lake, and whether you can see the Heavenly Lake depends on the weather. If there is a blizzard or strong wind, the Heavenly Lake scenic area is likely to be closed. As a southern 'small potato', I have a fondness for snow, and if the goal is to see snow, Snow Ridge might be a better choice. I originally wanted to join a small group tour of Changbai Mountain for 6 people, but since the group couldn't gather enough people, I had to join a larger group and take a bus, which allows luggage. Note: Snow Ridge will give you 4 hours of playtime, and there's no need to ride snowmobiles or sleds. It takes 1 hour to queue up for a 5-minute ride up the mountain, which is expensive and not practical. The mountain road of Snow Ridge is not high and is quite flat, just a bit slippery, so you must wear anti-slip shoes. It takes about 1 hour to walk and take pictures to the top of the mountain, and 40 minutes to go down, with plenty of time to spare. The scenery along the way is what Snow Ridge is all about. Stay near the internet-famous wall in Yanji at night. DAY3: Fangchuan Tumen one-day tour, a small group of 6 people, with the driver picking up and dropping off at the door, and luggage allowed. A glimpse of three countries, experience the charm of the border, very distinctive. In the evening, take the train from Yanji West Station to Changchun Station 20:26-22:44, and stay at a hotel near Changchun Station. DAY4: The Puppet Manchukuo Palace Museum, a must-visit in Changchun, highly recommended, where I spent 3 hours. Have lunch at the popular store Zhe You Shan and go shopping, then take a taxi back to the hotel to pick up luggage, and fly from Changchun to Chengdu Tianfu 15:35-19:50, end.
