Yunnan Wenshan - A century-old Catholic church hidden in the mountains

The Ludeke Catholic Church in Yanshan County, Wenshan, is located about 130 kilometers west of Yanshan County in Ashi Township, Ludeke Village, Zhongzhai Village Group, at an altitude of 2200 meters, with a cold climate❄. This church was founded in 1908 and is a courtyard with a stone and wood structure, featuring French architectural style🎪. The church consists of a sacristy, a warehouse, a kitchen, and side rooms, with a corridor-style walkway under the eaves of the main and side rooms🚪. To the west of the main gate, it is divided into two parts; the front is a quadrangular three-story bell tower🛕 with a total height of 10.26 meters, topped with a wooden cross🕯. The east side rooms of the main gate, divided into four sections each on the upper and lower floors, cover an area of 83 square meters and were originally the church's warehouse and kitchen. The main building (main room) is a six-bay building, used for the priest's living quarters, dining, office, and reception, covering about 111 square meters, and outsiders are usually not allowed to enter this building🚫. The courtyard is 15.8 meters wide and 19.16 meters deep, with trees planted inside🌳. The overall layout of the church is rational, the environment is fresh and elegant, and it is well-preserved.
