Time: November 12-15, Temperature 8-20℃ Departure: Shenzhen and Foshan, round-trip by high-speed train DAY 1️⃣: Arrive in Zhangjiajie ➡️ Seventy-Two Strange Buildings Night View 🏠 Stay: Wulingyuan East Gate (3 nights) 🗺 Transportation: Arrive at Zhangjiajie West Station by high-speed train at 18:39, take a 6-minute taxi to the [Seventy-Two Strange Buildings Ticket Entrance/Parking Lot]. We didn’t go inside, just saw some performances outside, including drumming, fire breathing, and street parades; after dinner, walk across the street to shoot the panoramic night view. 🔴 Check-in across the street ➊ After getting off, walk forward 20 meters to see the "Shrimp Eat Shrimp Hotpot" restaurant. ➋ Directly opposite the restaurant is the tourist passage entrance; follow the signs under the bridge straight ahead. About a 3-minute walk to the “Seventy-Two Strange Buildings Roadside Viewing Platform” (free, facing the 72 Strange Buildings, best view). DAY 2️⃣: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park East Gate B Route 🎫 Ticket reservation time: 7:00-8:00 (early entry allows a full day and avoids crowds for a better experience), exit East Gate around 16:00. 🚎 Route: East Gate B Line: East Gate (also called the Landmark Gate) → Bailong Elevator → Yuanjiajie → Yangjiajie → Tianzi Mountain Cableway down → Exit East Gate. 💡 Details: Enter East Gate B — shuttle bus (20-30 minutes) — Bailong Elevator — shuttle bus — Yuanjiajie (Mihun Platform, Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, First Bridge Under Heaven) — shuttle bus — Yangjiajie (Natural Great Wall) — shuttle bus — Tianzi Mountain (Tianzi Pavilion, Fairy Scattering Flowers, Imperial Brush Peak, Yunqing Rock, He Long Statue) — shuttle bus — Tianzi Mountain Cableway — shuttle bus — East Gate DAY 3️⃣: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park South Gate Foot of the Mountain 🎫 Ticket reservation time: 10:00-11:00, exit East Gate around 17:00 🚎 Route: Taxi/car from Wulingyuan East Gate → South Gate → Huangshizhai Grand Loop → Full length of Jinbian Stream → Ten-Mile Gallery (not visited) → Exit East Gate Experience: The South Gate was less crowded than the East Gate at our entry time. We encountered many monkeys on Huangshizhai Mountain. We walked the entire 8km of Jinbian Stream without seeing monkeys, probably because it was late. The scenery along this route is nice, with no food shops except one. DAY 4️⃣: Tianmen Mountain Tour, Return Trip 🎫 Ticket reservation time: B Line 9:00-10:00 (peak crowd time) 🚗 Transportation: Taxi from hotel to [Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company Lower Station], luggage storage is available upon arrival; return high-speed train at 17:27 from Zhangjiajie West Station. 🚎 Route: Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company Lower Station → Shuttle bus to Mountain Gate Parking Lot → Walk to Tianmen Cave Express Cableway Lower Station → Take cableway to upper station → Walk to Tianmen Cave Plaza → Take Tianmen Escalator (32 RMB) → 7-level Mountain Escalator (free) → Summit → Explore West Line to Tianmen Mountain Temple, purchase Forest Sightseeing Cable Car 🚠 Yunmeng Xianding → Take elevator to Tianmen Cableway Upper Station → Walk East Line, pass through Tongmu Garden, High-altitude Cloud Corridor to Mountain Escalator → Return to Tianmen Cave and take escalator (free) to Tianmen Cave Plaza → Return to city (A Line/B Line) The homepage also has Zhangjiajie dressing and luggage tips, accommodation, food, and travel warnings.
