Hezhou Tourism | Check-in at Guangxi's most beautiful ancient town on March 3rd

🍃This is my third visit to Huangyao Ancient Town, and each time I discover something new. This time, it's a misty April, holding a small umbrella, walking on the damp bluestone slabs, a casual turn can lead to an artsy coffee shop or guesthouse, and there's even a poetic illusion of strolling through an ancient town in the Jiangnan area. 🎉Due to the festive atmosphere of the March 3rd festival, Huangyao Ancient Town is so lively that it's almost shoulder to shoulder. Every shop has its own way to attract customers, whether it's the fragrant Huangyao fermented black beans, the spicy and tasty papaya strips, the fresh and delicious spring vegetables, a variety of medicinal herbs, all sorts of sauces, various pastries, plus the tender buds of ancient trees nourished by the spring rain, the sky full of green, and the little pets responsible for watching the shops, all adding a touch of freshness and liveliness of spring to the ancient town. 🏷️This is an ancient town that has withstood a thousand years of vicissitudes, preserving many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as centuries-old banyan trees, complemented by small bridges, flowing water, and households, where every casual snapshot is a masterpiece. No wonder Huangyao Ancient Town has been selected as one of China's top ten most beautiful ancient towns, one of the most valuable ancient towns for tourism in China, and one of the top 50 places in China that are most worth visiting for foreigners, winning a gold award. 🏮March 3rd is an important festival for the people of Guangxi, celebrated with a four-day holiday, unique to Guangxi in the whole country. Therefore, Huangyao Ancient Town also has additional celebrations during these days. For example, walking in the ancient town, you might encounter the Flower God parading in the streets; there are welcoming songs at the East Gate; at Yaoxiu Theater, there's 'Embroidered Ball Matchmaking'; in the middle of the lake at the Agricultural Fun Park, there will be water mountain songs and the spectacular 'bamboo drifting' performance. My favorite is the long-table banquet, where not only can you experience the warm hospitality of the Yao brothers and sisters, but you can also taste the very characteristic Hezhou local cuisine, such as Hezhou traditional 108 stuffed tofu, stuffed squash blossoms, stuffed eggplant, as well as Hezhou specialty beef intestine sour, five-color glutinous rice, and more!
