From April to May, come to Zibo to experience the white romance under the fringe tree

In Zibo, Shandong, a unique beauty unfolds between April and May, as if one is in the midst of snow. This is not real snow, but rather the blossoming of the Chinese fringe tree flowers, adding a different kind of attraction to this tourist city of Zibo. Although the fringe tree is not common in Zibo, here are four recommended viewing spots: 1. Country Garden Here stands a thousand-year-old fringe tree, surrounded by residential buildings and close to the city center. It usually blooms in late April, but the specific timing depends on the climate and temperature. 2. Zhengjiazhuang Village Home to a century-old fringe tree forest, with numerous trees, the hills are covered as if with a layer of snow, harmoniously blending with the surrounding red-tiled countryside. Although the location is somewhat remote, it is definitely worth a visit. The blooming period is around early May, accessible by bus, but be mindful of the last bus time. 3. Tuquan Village This village has the oldest fringe tree in China, with an age of 2,700 years. From a distance, it looks like a huge white cauliflower. Due to its remote location, it is recommended to visit while hiking on the weekend. The flowering period is also in early May, accessible by bus, but driving is a better choice. 4. Liuquan Wetland Park Close to the Zichuan long-distance bus station, many of the fringe trees here are still young. The flowering period is earlier, starting in late April. Personally, the fringe tree forest in Zhengjiazhuang Village is particularly enchanting, allowing one to enjoy this 'snow' scene while hiking.
