Why is Shanghai known as the City Walk city?
When the current generation needs a slow journey to relieve mental exhaustion and rediscover the beauty 'nearby', citywalk becomes popular. Shanghai, with its large and small, uniquely characteristic streets spread out like capillaries, is the deserved City Walk city.
While people in other cities are still considering how to follow the trend, the young locals in Shanghai will pretend to casually say: citywalk is nothing more than 'strolling on the streets', which is a daily routine for us.
It's not hard to understand why people living in Shanghai love citywalk so much. Compared to other major cities in the country, Shanghai has more and denser streets, naturally making it a pedestrian-friendly city plan. To preserve the city's historical appearance, there are also 64 'never to be widened' streets that have not been swallowed by the wave of urbanization.
At the same time, the capillary-like streets also provide convenient conditions for the growth of commerce. Shanghai is the city with the most developed block economy in the country, with more than 6,000 convenience stores and over 8,000 coffee shops, ranking first in the country, truly making it the 'Capital of Convenience Stores' and 'Capital of Coffee'. When you're tired from citywalk, you can just turn your head to have a cup of coffee and rest your feet, or grab something to eat.
Shanghai, this bustling metropolis, is like a flourishing and diverse bloom. The bloom is made up of many small flowers, and Shanghai has countless streets. It can be said that the bloom of Shanghai is hidden in the repeated citywalks.

Find a time in the evening
👉Take a time-traveling journey through the TV series
Check in at the ✨Huanghe Road and ✨Nanjing Road in the drama
➖➖➖
Coming out of the People's Square Station
Not far away is Huanghe Road
You can see the prototype of Zhizhen Garden in the drama - Taishengyuan Restaurant from a distance
With the popularity of the TV series, many people have come to check in
Continue walking inside
30 years have passed
The whole street no longer has the neon brilliance of the past
There are no longer so many hotels
There are only some familiar fast food on the street
After a round
It seems that only the Taishengyuan at the intersection can be photographed
And the crowd always queuing to buy butterfly su at the International Hotel
➖➖➖
From Huanghe Road to the east
You will arrive at the first commercial street - Nanjing Road
The neon signs of the past are still preserved in twos and threes
You can vaguely see the memories of the 90s
Walking among them
You can still feel the prosperity of this street
At the end of Nanjing Road is the Peace Hotel
I also saw the promotion of the TV series at the door
It's really a good match
Turn around to Dianchi Road where Baozong was hit by a car
The tall buildings on both sides
The dim light
I liked this street before

Original Art Deco details at the Fairmont
#urbanexplorer #tripblazers #shanghai
There is no way you can miss the beautiful Art Deco architecture of the Fairmont Peace hotel when you first see it. But have you ever taken a look at the details before? Sassoon, the original owner, had his pet hounds immortalised in the decoration of the building as the unofficial mascots. Look for them on the windows and in the plaster work.
If you’re lucky, you can take a peek inside what used to be the old management building and see a beautiful original stained glass window!

Art Deco Shanghai: The Peace Hotel
⛴ Getting There - take the river bus over from Pudong or head to Nanjing West station
🏨 Attractions - The hotel was the largest building in the city when build in the 1920s
🏯 Hotels - it is a hotel!
🥃 Food & Restaurants - they have some very retro old school restaurants largely unchanged since the 30s
🎁 Shopping - it’s just at the mount of Nanjing East Road, one of Shanghai’s biggest shopping streets
This is one of Shanghai’s most famous hotels and was previously called the #Cathay - it was all the stars of the 20s and 30s stayed. Head inside to check out the lobby and some for the Art Deco features, then hit the Jazz bar for the Peace Hotel’s live band (the band look as old as the hotel) for some old school tunes, unchanged since Shanghai’s golden era! 🎺 #shanghai #architecture #newyearadventure #artdeco #上海

Old Jazz Band in Shanghai
World’s famous Old Jazz Band in Shanghai. I was so lucky to visit that place and enjoy amazing jazz!
📍Bar is located in Fairmont Peace Hotel, 1st floor, right off the Bund.
✅It’s better to book the ticket and make a table reservation beforehand, especially during National holidays.
✅ They start at 6:30 pm. Don’t be late! :)
Drinks and snacks are included in the ticket.
Vintage atmosphere and a good music- everything you need to finish the day perfectly.
Audience from all over the world. It’s good to dress up in vintage style to support the mood 😉
In the hotel’s hall you will find lots of photo locations. Posters on the walls represent Shanghai of 1930s.
Highly recommend that place. Open one more page of Shanghai’s history!

Fairmont Peace Hotel
Awesome time hanging out and staying at the Fairmont Peace hotel in Shanghai for my birthday. I took the tour of the hotel which was offered in English and it was very interesting to learn about the long and storied history of the hotel and all the world leaders and celebrities who had stayed there in the past. I went to the Jazz bar in the evening and listened to some good music while sipping on cocktails. It kind of gave me that old-timey Shanghai feel. The architecture in the building is really awesome, it has that quality and attention to detail that modern buildings just don’t have anymore. It’s no wonder why so many US Presidents stay here when they visit Shanghai. The view from the rooftop cafe is quite amazing and not to mention the staff was always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

Shanghai Peace Hotel as a landmark building, the experience of staying for one night is really great. Its really invincible to take pictures inside the hotel in the afternoon. The retro stairs are super nice, I wear it very simple. Every staircase here is an excellent choice for taking pictures. The art gallery also displays movie magazines for viewing here. The retro revolving door at the entrance is also invincible. The spiral staircase is already a must for the Peace Hotel. Its hard to find, ask the service staff to find it, and the photo art is not good. At night, the terrace of Huaying Pavilion and the night view of the Bund are also a new realm.

This old road, forgotten by time, actually hides stories of stunning times
🚃 With the popular TV series 'Blossoms' airing, this Shanghai road, once forgotten by time, has come back into people's view. There's no Boss Huang, no Miss Wang, nor Zhenzhen Garden on Huanghe Road, but this newly popular Shanghai internet-famous road is indeed Huanghe Road.
🏘️ Compared to Wukang Road, it is closer to the Bund. There are many historical buildings along this road, and the well-known International Hotel is located here. Of course, the long queues of people waiting to buy the butterfly pastries also show its unique taste, attracting many tourists to purchase eagerly.
🏞️ The Taisheng Garden on Huanghe Road is the prototype of the Zhenzhen Garden in the TV series 'Blossoms'. Although it doesn't have the thrilling business battles or the passionate Miss Wang as in the TV series, it retains the authentic flavor of the old Shanghai alleys.
🌄 The spareribs rice cake mentioned in 'Blossoms' was reportedly not sold on this road before. With the TV series' explosion in popularity, many shops along the road started selling spareribs rice cakes. Personally, I find the taste average, but some might find it delicious. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I'm not accustomed to it. Xinghua Lou, however, is an old Shanghai brand that I highly recommend for friends to try.
❤️🔥 The end of Huanghe Road is East Nanjing Road, and at the end is the Bund. The world-renowned Peace Hotel is located here, which is also the office of Boss Huang in 'Blossoms'. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the Peace Hotel to Zhenzhen Garden on Huanghe Road.
🚗 Transportation tips: Take the subway lines 2, 8, or 1 to People's Square Station, exit 8, and walk about 100 meters to reach.
🔍 Nearby famous brands: Jinmen Hotel, International Hotel, Taisheng Garden, Xinghua Lou

The Shanghai Peace Hotel, with its integrated dining, living, and entertainment facilities, offers a taste of Shanghai's charm
As I stepped into the lobby of the Shanghai Peace Hotel, it felt as if I had traveled through a time tunnel, back to the bustling yet elegant old Shanghai. The vintage chandeliers hanging in the lobby cast a soft glow, illuminating the exquisite marble floor and the bronze-colored decorative railings, with every detail exuding the luxury and taste of the last century.
I was greeted by a cheongsam-clad concierge lady, whose smile was warm and welcoming, making me feel at home instantly. Under her guidance, I walked down the long corridor, flanked by black and white photos that chronicled the hotel's and Shanghai's changing history, each step feeling like a slow progression through the river of time.
Upon entering the room, I was greeted by an atmosphere that blended classic and modern elements. The interior decor retained the artistic style of old Shanghai, with wooden floors, high ceilings, and vintage furniture, each aspect revealing the traces of time. However, modern amenities were all in place, including a spacious bathroom, comfortable bedding, and high-speed internet connection, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests.
In the afternoon, I enjoyed afternoon tea at the hotel's jazz bar. The bar played melodious jazz music, and the live band performance added a touch of dynamism and vitality. I ordered a classic Shanghai cocktail, savoring it while listening to the music, immersing myself in the unique cultural atmosphere of the city.
For dinner, I chose the hotel's Chinese restaurant, where the dishes were exquisite and authentic. I tried several signature dishes, each one delicious in flavor and appearance, especially the braised pork, which was fatty but not greasy, melting in the mouth. The waitstaff moved between tables with politeness and attentiveness, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.
At night, I returned to my room and looked out the window towards the Bund, where the brilliant night scene caught my eye. The buildings along the Huangpu River appeared even more majestic and mysterious in the night, and the Peace Hotel's location is undoubtedly one of the best spots to enjoy this beautiful view.
The next morning, I enjoyed a rich buffet breakfast in the hotel's breakfast room, from fresh baked goods to traditional Chinese dim sum, offering a wide variety to satisfy different tastes.
When leaving, I couldn't help but look back several times at the Peace Hotel, which has witnessed Shanghai's century of vicissitudes. It is not just a hotel, but more like a living history book, telling the story of the city, making it hard to leave.
The Shanghai Peace Hotel, a place full of historical charm and modern comfort, is a wonderful chapter not to be missed by any traveler to Shanghai.

🌆 Captivating Beauty of the Shanghai Bund 🕌
#ShanghaiBund #RiverView #HistoricArchitecture
The Shanghai Bund, located along the Huangpu River, is a stunning waterfront area that showcases the city's blend of historic and modern architecture. The area is renowned for its picturesque views of the river, adorned with majestic buildings that reflect various architectural styles.
🏛️ Historic Architecture: The Bund features a collection of historic buildings that once housed numerous banks and trading houses from around the world. These buildings, including the Peace Hotel and the Customs House, exhibit a mix of architectural styles, including Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance Revival, reflecting Shanghai's rich history as an international trading port.
🌉 River Views: One of the most captivating aspects of the Bund is its view of the Huangpu River. The river divides the city into two parts, with the historic buildings of the Bund on one side and the modern skyscrapers of Pudong on the other. The juxtaposition of old and new creates a breathtaking skyline, especially when illuminated at night.
🚢 River Cruises: A popular way to experience the beauty of the Bund is by taking a river cruise on the Huangpu River. These cruises offer panoramic views of the waterfront area, allowing visitors to appreciate the architectural splendor of the buildings along the Bund from a unique perspective.
📸 Photography Tips: The best time to capture the beauty of the Bund is during the golden hour, either at sunrise or sunset, when the light is soft and warm. After seeing the blooming flowers, I stayed at the Peace Hotel again and was still thrilled
After watching the blooming flowers, I couldn't help but stay at the Peace Hotel again, just to feel the old Shanghai charm that hits you right in the face.
The Peace Hotel in Shanghai is located on East Nanjing Road in Huangpu District, at the heart of the city, surrounded by century-old buildings filled with old Shanghai charm. Outside the window is the beautiful view of the Bund. Whether it was a hundred years ago or today, the Peace Hotel has always been a dazzling pearl on the Shanghai Bund, shining its own light.
Entering the Peace Hotel's own museum, you unveil its layers of mystery. It turns out that its history is so long; it opened in the late 1920s, was once the premier hotel in the Far East, and also Shanghai's first skyscraper, one of the city's landmark buildings. It has hosted many celebrities and politicians, witnessed many important events in Chinese history, and also the century-long prosperity of the magical city of Shanghai.
The overall architectural style of the Peace Hotel is quite retro, complementing the Bund's international building complex. The hotel interior is magnificent and luxurious, with a variety of room types, including the British suite of Ah Bao and Uncle Ye from the drama 'Blooming Flowers', as well as suites named after other countries, and river-view suites, Fairmont rooms.
The rooms are all spacious, with exquisite furniture, beautifully designed, high-end facilities, super large bathrooms with separate wet and dry areas, unique bathtubs, and particularly high-end toiletries. The suites named after different countries are also designed according to their respective cultures, with luxurious decorations and a comfortable and leisurely atmosphere.
The Peace Hotel's cuisine is also very worth trying. The Dragon Phoenix Hall on the eighth floor not only offers a panoramic view of the Huangpu River, but the various Shanghai cuisines are also top-notch. The Peace Hotel's Western restaurant is also a well-known presence on the Shanghai Bund, and you must try it. Its jazz bar is great too, with an average age of 82, the old Shanghai musicians perform the famous old Shanghai tunes every night at the bar, instantly transporting people back to Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
The service at the Peace Hotel doesn't need much talking about, it's definitely excellent, attentive and thoughtful. From check-in to departure, they are polite and take great care of children and the elderly, give small gifts, etc. The room cleaning staff are so careful and meticulous, thank you to these staff members for the touching experience they have brought us.
The Peace Hotel, this century-old hotel, is like a pearl on the Shanghai Bund, and also a location for many TV dramas and movies. I watched the recently popular 'Blooming Flowers' and couldn't help but stay here again, to feel the misty elegance of old Shanghai in the drama. Having afternoon tea at the bakery on the first floor is also full of atmosphere. In the future, when coming to Shanghai, I might just stick with the Peace Hotel, it's too wonderful!

Shanghai Peace Hotel Japanese Suite: Top Comfort and a Historical Lodging Experience!
Staying in the Japanese suite at the Shanghai Peace Hotel left an unforgettable impression on me. First of all, the hotel is ideally located in the center of Shanghai, with convenient transportation,
there are subway stations and bus stops nearby, making travel very convenient.
After arriving at the hotel, we received a warm and thoughtful reception,
the staff were friendly and quickly processed our check-in.

a great place to relax and rest.
The bedroom has a spacious and comfortable bed with soft and comfortable bedding,
allowing us to enjoy a comfortable night's sleep.
In addition, the room is also equipped with a quiet desk area,
suitable for working or reading.
The bathroom facilities are luxurious, with separate shower and bathtub,
providing high-quality bath products and plenty of towels.
Here, we can relax and enjoy the pleasure of a bath.
However, it is worth mentioning that the price of the Japanese suite is relatively high,
requiring a certain fee.
Moreover, although the room facilities are complete,
some facilities may be slightly outdated and need to be updated and maintained.
Also, the hotel's breakfast options are relatively limited,
which may not satisfy all guests' tastes.
Overall, staying in the Japanese suite at the Shanghai Peace Hotel,
we felt the comfort and warmth of the hotel,
enjoyed the quality service and convenient location.
Despite some minor drawbacks,

Shanghai City Walk | A Complete Guide to a One-Day Flower Viewing Tour in March
Shanghai, the city that I call the 'Magic City' in my heart, has truly given me such a big surprise. Fields of cherry blossoms, magnificent magnolias, and tulips have already bloomed with abandon, showing off the colors of spring. 🌸
This is the large cherry blossom forest located in Jing'an District, Shanghai. Wow, it's so beautiful that a casual snapshot looks like it was taken by a professional photographer. 📷 If you come to Shanghai and want to experience this grand feast of flowers, remember to go to Gate 1 of Jing'an Sculpture Park, and guess what, there's no admission fee at all! 📍️
That's right, the 'bus to spring' is right here, waiting for you in a most romantic way. I encountered one right outside my hotel, so romantic!! It felt like entering the scene of those romantic movies, truly beautiful. 😍️
Oh my, I have to share my exclusive flower viewing route with everyone. After a hearty brunch in the morning, you can cycle to Jing'an Sculpture Park to take pictures of the cherry blossoms. In the afternoon, I highly recommend a city walk near the Bund, casually capturing the tulips of the Bund, and the following week will be their prime time.
Itinerary: Jiujiang Road️ ➡️ The Bund Central Square️ ➡️ Peace Hotel️ ➡️ Sassoon House️ ➡️ China Postal Museum️ ➡️ Zhapu Road Bridge️ ➡️ Waibaidu Bridge️ ➡️ Jiangyuan.
A few photography tips:
1. The surrounding overpasses might be congested, so if you live nearby, I recommend cycling there, so you can better enjoy the roadside scenery.
2. If you want to include the crowd in your shot, or prefer to take pictures without people, go earlier. The early-blooming pink cherry blossoms are expected to last for a week.
Of course, in addition to cherry blossoms 🌸, the park also has tulips and plum blossoms. For those who like to take portraits, you can bring a small stool or stand on the steps to take pictures, the angle is fantastic 👍. And, try to use a telephoto lens for shooting, it can avoid the crowd and capture that unique Japanese style. 😊

Fire! The popularity of various cultural and tourism 'check-in spots' from 'Blossoms' has soared
Following the broadcast of the TV series 'Blossoms', directed by Wong Kar-wai and adapted from the novel of the same name by Shanghai author Jin Yucheng, the popularity of many cultural and tourism 'check-in spots' in Shanghai has skyrocketed: the search and order volume for traditional Shanghai delicacies such as pork rib rice cake, rice in soup, and fried dough twists on delivery platforms have significantly increased; locations like Huanghe Road and the Peace Hotel, featured in the drama, are now surrounded by tourists who have come to visit.

A museum that sets up a sanctuary in a snail shell
Following the traces of the 'Blossoms' images, it's quite interesting to seek warmth in the cold weather, which can somewhat dispel the chill and keep warm. I've been to Huanghe Road and Jinxian Road, and then went to check out the Peace Hotel. Unexpectedly, there's a mini museum in the Peace Hotel, nestled in a mezzanine. Through the narrow staircase, you can see a small room where, in this 'sanctuary in a snail shell', includes the development history of the Peace Hotel, classic ornaments, silverware, old menus, bills, and the most heavyweight items must be the dinnerware, invitations, table decorations, and group photos of the guests from the second CIIE. What's more interesting is that the original 'Blossoms' manuscript, as well as items related to the film and TV series, are also prominently displayed. It seems that the Peace Hotel is not just an old store that rests on its laurels, but also knows how to seize hot topics to rejuvenate the century-old establishment. They even launched a 'Blossoms' set menu which, despite being pricey, still attracts customers. There are mixed reviews online, with endless debates and no concessions. Naturally, the business continues as usual, still hanging posters to attract customers.

1⃣️ The Bund
The section of the Huangpu Beach from Shanghai's White Bridge to East Jinling Road is called 'The Bund' because it is located outside the old Shanghai county town on the beach.
The Bund faces the wide mother river - the Huangpu River, and is backed by a group of buildings with strict shapes and different styles.
The towering historical buildings, along with the bustling traffic, and the bustling crowds in the busy streets, are many people's first impression of the Shanghai Bund.
2⃣️ International Architecture Exhibition
When traveling to Shanghai, The Bund is a must-visit for tourists, known as the International Architecture Exhibition, and has been a symbol of Shanghai for nearly a century. The buildings are mainly distributed between 1-33 Zhongshan East Road.
3⃣️ Peace Hotel
A hotel with historical stories, also a landmark building in Shanghai, where many celebrities have stayed.
The Peace Hotel in the TV series 'Blossoms' refers to this place, and many people come here to check in and take photos.
4⃣️ Shanghai Jiushi Art Museum
This is also the 'Bund No. 27' where Miss Wang in the 'Blossoms' series worked, the 'Foreign Trade Building' in the series, now named 'Roosevelt'. Jiushi Art Museum often hosts exhibitions of famous artists.
5⃣️ The Bund Origin
Rockbund Origin stretches from Yuanmingyuan Road and Park No. 33 in the east to Huguang Road in the west, bordered by South Suzhou Road in the north and East Beijing Road in the south, located at the confluence of the Huangpu River and the Suzhou River, connecting a series of century-old buildings and modern architecture.
A variety of British-style buildings gather here, strolling among them is like being in a European town, with the red brick facades particularly photogenic, making it a popular choice for wedding photos.
Along the street, there are also many luxury retail stores, high-end restaurants, and serviced apartments, which are great for shopping.
6⃣️ Zhapu Road Bridge
The Zhapu Road Bridge witnessed the prosperity and noise of the last century, and still stands elegantly over the Suzhou River today. Standing on the bridge, the Oriental Pearl Tower is especially beautiful to photograph.
If you are here at dusk, the photos taken have a special atmospheric feel.
Then take a walk along the Suzhou River bank to see the flowers blooming in spring, leisurely and comfortable.
7⃣️ Waibaidu Bridge
Waibaidu Bridge is one of the famous landmark buildings in Shanghai, and also the 'Grandma Bridge' in the hearts of many old Shanghainese. Although it is only a little over a hundred meters long, it has witnessed the historical changes of Shanghai, and today, it has become one of the must-visit landmarks for tourists in Shanghai.
8⃣️ North Bund Riverside View
After crossing the Waibaidu Bridge, turn right and walk along the North Bund Riverside, enjoying the gentle breeze from the Huangpu River bank, which is just comfortable.
tips: This route is generally leisurely, focusing on architectural sightseeing, without the need to rush to check in. It is suitable for a slow experience of history and culture, and is very suitable for taking photos and portraits.
If you're tired, you can find a petty-bourgeois shop to have a cup of coffee and a dessert. Staying on the bridge at dusk to enjoy the sunset is very romantic.

| The Bund Night View | A Dreamy Journey of Light and Shadow. As the lights begin to shine, looking back at the Huangpu River. A century in a moment, prosperity like a dream!
Setting sail at night, gazing at the brightly lit Shanghai Bund across the Huangpu River.
From the Huangpu Pier, right ahead is the entrance to the Bund - the Bund Pier.
Under the plane trees, ferries for crossing the river are docked. Drifting slowly with the boat, the river curves reflecting the moon, and the waves shimmer. Soon, a bizarre sea of lights comes into view. As the lights begin to shine, the elegant silhouettes of classical buildings are cast into the sparkling waves of the Huangpu River, creating an endless dreamy scroll.
On both sides of the Bund stand historical buildings left from the time of the foreign concessions, each with its unique shape and characteristics. Walking south from the Bund Pier,
the historic Shiliupu Pier, the famous landmark of the Bund - the Peace Hotel, and the British-style antique garden buildings of Taikoo Li compete in splendor. The middle section is the richest in architectural styles, gathering the Georgian-style corner building,
the Art Deco style of the Anglican Cathedral, and skyscrapers... As the boat drifts in the heart of the river, the entire Bund seems like a huge flowing stage, with the scenery changing endlessly in the water.
The neon lights on the ground display various vivid and intense colors, as if colliding to create countless sparks of diamonds.
Outstanding architecture and the marks of the times are firmly imprinted on the banks of the Huangpu River
The echoes of history are faintly heard.
Only after enjoying the lights of several centuries does the city reluctantly let us go back.
As the boat reaches the southern pier at the end of the Bund, looking around, romance still flows in the arteries of this city.
When you come to the Bund, be sure to take a boat tour as night falls. A dreamy and vivid journey of light and shadow.
It will leave an indelible mark in your heart.

The Bund
The Bund is located on the bank of the Huangpu River in Huangpu District, Shanghai. It starts from Yan'an East Road in the south and extends to the Waibaidu Bridge over the Suzhou River in the north. The Huangpu River is to the east, and the west is the concentration of financial and foreign trade institutions in old Shanghai. After Shanghai was opened as a port, foreign banks, businesses, general meetings, and newspapers began to gather here, and the Bund became the financial center of the country and even the Far East.
There are many historical buildings on the Bund, some of which are still used by some units and institutions. For example, the Customs Building at No. 13 on the Bund, which was completed in the 16th year of the Republic of China, is still the residence of the Shanghai Customs; the Bank of Communications Building at No. 14 on the Bund, the Asia Building at No. 1 on the Bund, the Hui Zhong Hotel Building at No. 19 on the Bund, which is now the Peace Hotel; the Sassoon Building at No. 22 on the Bund, and so on.

Crossing time and space | Stepping into the glorious century of the Peace Hotel
| Stepping into the glorious century of the Peace Hotel. Whenever Shanghai is mentioned, the Peace Hotel comes to mind, an old hotel standing on the Bund, witnessing the century-old changes of the Bund. It encapsulates a century of the Bund's charm~
Countless classic movies and political and business celebrities have written their own stories here. This time, we came to the Indian suite where Mr. Chaplin once stayed, stepping into the modern era of the time, experiencing Mr. Chaplin's unique story~
The Indian suite, as the most exotic suite among the nine national suites. With double-layered emerald green as the base color, the '8' shaped chandelier on the ceiling echoes the 'Emerald' on the top floor of the Peace Hotel~ All the windows in the room face the Oriental Pearl, the 178 square meters of super large space, the furnishings, decorations and furniture layout satisfy all imaginations of luxury, exquisite and elegance.
The Peace Hotel carries too much history of Shanghai's past and present, it has become the best way for Chinese and foreign tourists to understand this modern city of Shanghai.

A timeless encounter of the elite - I'm at the Peace Hotel
The Peace Hotel has always been a place I've longed to visit, and this time I took my father, who just had his birthday, to experience it on Father's Day. There are many luxury hotels along the Bund, but the only one with a strong sense of history is this old Qian Hotel, which has a history of nearly a hundred years. Because of financial constraints, I couldn't experience the classic suites where Chaplin, Lu Xun, Hua Luogeng and others stayed, but I will definitely try next time.
The dinner at the Dragon and Phoenix Hall, the breakfast at the Jasmine Lounge, and the old-fashioned jazz are all great. Two drink coupons can be used to listen to music with two cocktails, relax and rest. The only regret is that the old ladies have a loud voice, the economic conditions should be very good, maybe when I get old, my voice will also be loud.
The price is indeed a bit spicy, the most regrettable thing on a rainy day is to miss the rooftop terrace, can only wait for the next time with a little unfulfilled expectation.

Landmark Building of Greater Shanghai - The Peace Hotel
[GreatWall] It has always been a cherished desire of our family to spend a night at the Peace Hotel. Fortunately, the approachable pricing of luxury hotels nowadays no longer intimidates us. This hotel is steeped in stories, with over a century of history, it has also become a testament to the city's modern development.
Here are a few points to note when staying at the hotel:
[One] Make sure to book the hotel's exhibition hall in advance. There will be a dedicated guide to introduce you to the precious collections owned by the hotel.
[Two] The rooftop terrace of the hotel offers an unobstructed view of the entire Pudong Lujiazui and the majestic river view where the Huangpu River takes a turn. It's truly unbeatable.
[Three] The bar on the first floor features photos and instruments of an elderly jazz band. If there's a performance, you can even dance to a tune.
[Four] The first floor of the hotel is luxuriously eye-catching, with a colorful dome, character wall carvings, and artistic glass. There are many details worth exploring, so be sure to look closely.
[Five] Breakfast is a must. The Shanghai-style dim sum in the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Remember, take a small amount of a variety of dishes, otherwise, you'll be full before you've tasted everything.

A venerable Shanghai hotel, the filming location for Wong Kar-wai's "Flourishing".
🏨 The Peace Hotel in Shanghai
❤ Why it's recommended:
With the recent airing of the series "Blossoms," director Wong Kar-wai has beautifully encapsulated the cultural allure and charm of old Shanghai. I stayed in the Fairmont room, where I was greeted with a thoughtful and adorable welcome gift of fruits and Christmas desserts.
🌟 Highlighted Features:
Choosing to stay at the Peace Hotel was entirely to immerse myself in the historical ambiance of old Shanghai. Although some facilities may seem a bit dated, considering the hotel was established in 1929, the overall maintenance is commendable.
You can also take a memorable photo on the staircase where the movie "Tiny Times" was filmed!
🍽 Dining Recommendations:
Breakfast is served in a quaint dining room, and please note, slippers are not allowed!
👍 Highly Recommended:
The most noteworthy experience is the evening performance by the elderly jazz band, allowing you to soak in the glitz and glamour of Shanghai nightlife. The hotel attracts a considerable number of foreigners, possibly drawn by the historical allure of the Peace Hotel.
The performance ends at midnight, and we arrived just an hour before, to find it fully booked. However, the atmosphere was truly intoxicating, especially when paired with a glass of red wine, making you feel as if you were part of the scene!
If you wish to experience the charm of old Shanghai... you must stay at the Peace Hotel at least once.
