Built in the 19th century, it was designed to commemorate the fishermen who once defended this part of the city walls. #wecreate The Fisherman’s Bastion is one of the most beautiful places in Budapest. It’s located on the Buda side of the city and offers a stunning view of the Danube River and the Pest side of the city. The best way to get there is by taking the funicular from the Chain Bridge. The view from the top is breathtaking and it’s not as crowded as other tourist attractions in Budapest. I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re ever in Budapest, visit during the weekdays for less people and also in the afternoon so you can catch the golden hour 🌇 There are some shops around to get water and restaurants to get some drinks and good local food #budapest #tripblazers #urbanexplorer

Budapest is the image of Europe in my mind. Budapest doesn't have "The Grand Budapest Hotel", but it has the most beautiful Castle Hill. Budapest is located on the banks of the Danube River (originally the water of the Danube and the Huangpu River are similar in turbidity), formed by the merger of Buda on the west bank of the Danube and Pest on the east bank. The famous Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle are on the Buda side, while the east bank has the Parliament Building and more abundant leisure and entertainment venues. Attractions Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle Hungarian Parliament Building, Citadella, a recommended attraction by locals, Danube River cruise | Recommended Legenda Cruise. Budapest: Evening Sightseeing Cruise and Unlimited Prosecco (1.5 hours). If you want to see the night view of the Parliament Building, it's best to book a few days in advance. We booked for 5:30 pm to watch the sunset, and both sides of the river were covered in golden light. Everyone on the boat was having a great time and the atmosphere was super fun, hahaha. These scenic spots have a lot of tourists! So if you want to take beautiful photos, sisters are advised to go early. You may need to go to Fisherman's Wharf at seven or eight o'clock to avoid crowds in the restaurant. Béchamel This breakfast is really delicious! We ate here for two consecutive days and recommend the Turkish Eggs and Croque Madame. Menza Restaurant and Café Authentic Hungarian cuisine, recommended dishes include Roasted duck liver with sour cherry sauce and mashed potatoes (Cherry Duck Liver) and Hungarian goulash soup (beef soup with a Chinese-style flavor). This walk-in restaurant does have seating outside of meal times, but it's best to make a reservation in advance. Comme Chez Soi It's too popular, couldn't get a table even after two walk-ins, always fully booked no matter what time, so if you're coming to Budapest, make sure to call/email and make a reservation a few days in advance. Budapest has too many delicious foods, almost no chance of disappointment, and the prices are very cheap! Transportation Bolt taxi app allows cash payment without card binding. Payment; calling a car is very convenient, basically arriving in two or three minutes; the price is not expensive, and if you don't live too far away, it's only a few euros to go to various scenic spots. BudapestGO public transportation can be used with this app. Budapest doesn't need too much planning, the distance between attractions is close, and it's beautiful to walk around everywhere! It's very safe here, and people are friendly

Built in 1905, it was originally a fish market, but later the fishermen built this bastion to protect their interests for defensive purposes. The surroundings of Fisherman's Bastion are beautiful and the scenery is very beautiful. Standing here, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire city of Budapest. Hungarian Parliament Building. The Hungarian Parliament Building is the location of the Hungarian Parliament and also an important landmark in Budapest, one of the oldest legislative buildings in Europe. The Parliament Building combines Hungarian national style and belongs to the new Gothic architectural style. It is located on Freedom Square by the Danube River, currently the largest building in Hungary and the second largest parliament building in Europe. This building is magnificent and especially beautiful when viewed at night. Chain Bridge. The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is the first bridge connecting Buda and Pest over the Danube River, and is therefore considered a symbol of the city of Budapest. In 1850, Hungarian designer János Marschalkó designed the lion sculptures at both ends of the chain bridge, with the lion's claws tightly gripping both sides, symbolizing the close connection between Buda and Pest.

Plus, sometimes you get to listen to some LIVE classical music of street musicians, which just makes the whole experience more romantic. This is one of my favorite places to see every time I’m in the city. During the day you can roam around in the Castle District, have some amazing strudel in one of the hidden streets and enjoy to architecture of the area. At night, take a romantic walk with your loved one or just roam around alone and soak in the beauty of the city. When I got up early, the sky was gloomy, so I immediately gave up on Fisherman's Bastion and decided to go to the most beautiful breakfast shop for breakfast. After breakfast, I found that the weather was clear. I arrived at Fisherman's Bastion at about ten o'clock and it felt just right. After visiting Fisherman's Bastion, I walked back to Pest from the Chain Bridge. The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, the sky was blue, the sun was warm, it was a blessed day. The winter in Budapest gets dark quickly. After having lunch in Pest and strolling around a bit, it got dark. On the last day before returning to my country, I was very lucky. No matter what I encountered in the middle, this trip finally froze in a beautiful moment.

Budapest City Walk

A tiring but fulfilling day as we walked from Pest to Buda and back to Pest again through the Chain Bridge without taking public transport. Our first stop was the Hungary Parliament, but ticket was sold for the day. We decided to explore the Buda side first - Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion and Budapest Castle Musuem. In the olden days, the city was separated by the Danube River, where Buda as the hilly area and Pest on the other side. It was conquered by Ottoman (Turk Empire), which explained why some of the buildings have the dome-like style. In the evening, we took the river cruise capturing the night view. Pity that the lighting was turned off for the Parliament building.
