Lushan Travel | Four Days and Three Nights to See the Misty Rain of Lushan
|Four Days and Three Nights to See the Misty Rain of Lushan.
🌃 Arrived in Jiujiang on the afternoon of the first day, stayed overnight in Jiujiang.
🏡 Took a taxi to Lushan Scenic Area early on the second day, first visited Donglin Temple and Xilin Temple at the foot of the mountain.
🚡 After visiting the two temples, took a taxi to the Lushan cableway, went up the mountain by cableway, and stayed in Guling Town on the mountain on the second night. After arriving by cableway, called the hotel, and the hotel sent a car to pick us up. After settling the luggage, started touring Lushan.
⏰ Started touring Lushan around two o'clock, finished the central and west lines in one afternoon. Remember to buy a bus ticket within the scenic area, it can save a lot of time, but if you encounter large tour groups, you still need to queue for a long time at each stop. The tour of the Meilu villa complex basically ended in two hours, then headed to the Xianren Cave where the endless beauty lies in the perilous peaks (we didn't go to the Great Heavenly Pool, as the posts about it seemed a bit disappointing, especially since I have seen the Heavenly Pool of Changbai Mountain). After finishing Xianren Cave, took the bus back to the town for dinner, and after dinner, saw the beautiful pink sunset at the square in Guling Town. Felt quite tired after walking through Xianren Cave, but that was before experiencing the Wulaofeng and Sandiequan~
⏰ Departed on time at nine o'clock on the third day to take the scenic area bus to the east line's Wulaofeng and Sandiequan. Since we were descending the mountain that day, we carried all our luggage. It is recommended to carry backpacks or mountaineering bags to Lushan and avoid suitcases, especially if you are descending from Wulaofeng and Sandiequan with a suitcase, you might get stuck halfway. Departed at nine o'clock and reached the foot of the mountain at four-thirty, only God knows what I went through that day, but my legs were done for. The last picture shows the prices for sedan chair rides in Lushan, and you'll understand why I said to carry less.
⏰ After descending the mountain, my 'leader' also took me to visit the Bailudong Academy, then took a taxi to the Guanyin Bridge scenic area, stayed in a homestay within the scenic area, settled the luggage, took a few casual photos, and then rushed to the Ziyang Dike at night. Wow, I couldn't have persisted through the third day's itinerary without the strength of a special forces soldier.
⏰ Went home on the fourth day, since the flight was in the afternoon, went to Xiufeng early in the morning. Since my legs were already useless from the previous day, planned to take the cable car up and down, but when we arrived at the scenic area at seven-thirty, we were informed that the cable car wouldn't start until nine, so we started the hard climb, which was about two hours of full stairway mountain path, all for the sight of the waterfall plunging down three thousand feet. After climbing Xiufeng, I must say we were truly brave.
📍 The words 'since we're here, let's do it' were what kept me going on my Lushan trip.
I wanted to visit Lushan because of Su Shi's poem about the misty rain of Lushan and the tides of Zhejiang, which says that before arriving, a thousand kinds of regret won't dissipate. Once there, there's nothing else to do but to enjoy the misty rain of Lushan and the tides of Zhejiang. After the visit, my understanding of the last two lines is that Lushan is great, but it's exhausting, and I won't come again next time.
Lushan Waterfall, an absolutely breathtaking place you can't miss!
📍First, do you know how to get there? Lushan is located in Jiujiang City. Although there is a bit of a distance between Jiujiang Station and Lushan Station, trust me, it's all for a journey that's worth it!
🌆Jiujiang, a city built along the river, hides three riverside attractions: Pipa Pavilion, Suojiang Tower, and Xunyang Tower. They are super close to each other, just one or two kilometers apart, and you can feel the charm of the head of the Xunyang River described by Bai Juyi. Walking through these places is like having a conversation with history, feeling the magic and flow of a thousand years.
🏞Next, let's talk about the foot of Lushan. Here, not only are there famous sites like Bailudong Academy, Xiufeng Waterfall, and Donglin Temple, but also the spectacular scene described by Li Bai as 'the waterfalls fly straight down three thousand feet'! It only costs 120r to take a taxi from Suojiang Tower to Xiufeng Waterfall, and the same price from Xiufeng Waterfall to Lushan Station. In March, Lushan attractions are free of admission, and the cable car offers half-price student tickets, which is an amazing benefit!
🌧To see the waterfall, you must choose a rainy day. Although it's a bit of a gamble, trust me, it's definitely an adventure worth taking! The Lushan cable car may be old, but the feeling of the wind leaking through just adds a bit of fun to the adventure. Two people sitting side by side, ascending through the misty clouds, with an excellent view, as if you are in an ink painting. Even if the water flow of Xiufeng Waterfall is not as strong as other waterfalls, in the misty rain, it is the most eye-catching presence in the entire journey. You can also get off in the middle of the cable car ride to enjoy the view, take a photo with Li Bai, and look out at the waterfall, which is simply awesome!
🚖Finally, take a taxi to Lushan Station, and on the way, you can pass by the Donglin Great Buddha, with the cloudy sky behind the Buddha so spectacular it takes your breath away. However, be aware that Lushan Station stops checking tickets five minutes in advance!
💥So, don't hesitate any longer, come to Lushan and experience this beautiful journey!💥
Lushan Mountain covered in snow looks like a fairy tale town, so beautiful!
Route: Fuzhou Station to Lushan Station, about 4 hours by high-speed train. After arriving, take a shuttle bus to Lushan cable car station, then take the cable car up the mountain. The entrance ticket is 160 yuan per person, and the cable car round trip is 120 yuan per person. I personally don't think a sightseeing car ticket is necessary, as many attractions are accessible on foot. If you want to visit some farther attractions, consider buying one.
❄️ Snowy Lushan attire: Down jackets, hats, scarves, and gloves are essential. If you want to play in the snow, prepare waterproof gloves. Ice grips are also a must, preferably the kind that I wear on my feet for better slip resistance. A thick mask can be prepared to prevent frostbite on the face.
❄️ Accommodation: I chose the Zhihong Hotel, which has large glass windows for viewing the snow scenery, and it's quite nice. The lobby also has underfloor heating, and there is a round-trip shuttle service from the cable car upper station to the hotel.
❄️ The weather in Lushan is unpredictable, so be sure to check the weather forecast in advance or set out after it snows. Before the snow, it's foggy with low visibility. Sisters who want to take photos should choose sunny or partly cloudy weather.
❄️ The carnival was not open when I went, so I missed out on snowboarding, but the snow scenery was still incredibly beautiful, both during the day and at night. It gets windier and colder at night, so dress warmly. I wish everyone can see the beautiful snow scenery~
Explore the snow wonder of Jiangxi! - Lushan
Want to enjoy the vast snow scene without having to go far north? The winter beauty of Lushan is waiting for you to check in! 💖
This year I have prepared a practical Lushan skiing guide for everyone, which will definitely make your trip worthwhile! 🎉🎉🎉
🚗Traffic guide:
First take the high-speed train or train to Jiujiang Station (note: not Lushan Station, don't be misled by the name! Lushan Station is actually farther). After leaving the station, you can choose to take a taxi directly to 🚡Lushan Cableway Station, or choose to take a bus. We chose to ask local residents after leaving the station, and then took the No. 57 bus directly to the Lushan Cableway parking lot. The bus journey takes about 30 minutes, and the ticket is only 2 yuan. You can use Alipay to swipe the Jiujiang electronic bus card. When you go down the mountain, take the No. 57 bus directly back to Lushan Railway Station at the bus stop.
👏Play experience:
I went a few days ago, and it was snowing heavily at that time. Because Lushan is near, I set off immediately after seeing the weather forecast that there would be heavy snow in the next two days. The Lushan after the snow is incredibly beautiful, and there are good places for taking pictures 📷 everywhere.
🎒Dressing suggestions:
I personally tested that wearing white is the best for taking pictures in the snow! 🧢Hats, gloves, 🕶️ sunglasses, 👘 scarves are all essential items, because the wind on the mountain is strong, you also need to wear non-slip shoes (I accidentally slipped!). If you drive up the mountain, don't forget to install anti-skid chains on your tires.
💰Cost overview:
When I went to Lushan when I was studying, there was a free tour activity for Jiangxi students, so the ticket was free at that time🎫. Student ID can enjoy half-price cable car tickets for 60 yuan (round trip), and you can find various restaurants on the mountain to eat, including hot pot, KFC, stir-fry, etc., and there are also many small supermarkets.
Are you ready? Let's embark on the snow journey of Lushan together! ❄️🌟
Just returned from Lushan, sisters who plan to go in January-February, listen to my 10 pieces of advice
1. How long will the snow scene in Lushan last?
In the past, the snow scene in Lushan would last until March. The current weather is not very stable.
The forecast is that there is a probability of snowfall on the 15-16th, so you need to check the weather in time to avoid running in vain.
2. How to get to Lushan more conveniently?
🚝High-speed rail to Lushan Station, close to the cableway, there is a shuttle bus at the station. 🚄Train to Jiujiang Station, 🚌57 bus to the cableway station Wulushan North Gate, you can take a sightseeing car up the mountain.
When it snows, there are usually a lot of people, so taking a sightseeing car can avoid queuing.
The sightseeing car goes up the mountain at: North Gate and South Gate.
If both the cable car and the sightseeing car are crowded, there are two hiking routes: Haohan Slope and Shimenjian.
3. Which attractions are fun and good-looking?
1. Guanyun Pavilion: watch the sunset. 2. Waterfall cloud, the rime around is extremely beautiful. Street Park: panoramic view of Lushan Villa Group.
3. Hanpokou: the best place to watch the sunrise, the sightseeing car only operates at 7:30.
4. Ruqin Lake: get off at Huajing, it is recommended to go in the early morning, the lake + rime is extremely beautiful. Xiaotianchi (Nonatai Temple): get off at Xiaotianchi, the best place to watch the sunset.
4. Lushan Snow Appreciation Itinerary Suggestion

5. 🏠Where is it convenient to stay?
H suggests choosing to stay in Guling Town, which is convenient for travel in the core scenic area.
6. How cold is the temperature? How to prepare equipment?
Keep warm (quick-drying inner wear + waterproof and windproof jacket) anti-slip and waterproof shoes or snow boots, waterproof gloves, sunglasses + mask + a small amount of cash.
7. Buy ice claws in advance, some attractions do not allow entry without ice claws, and you will not dare to walk by yourself.
8. In addition to admiring the snow and building a snowman, you can also slide down the slope, but this project needs to pay attention to safety.
9. 🚘About self-driving tour
Holidays and snowfall cannot go up the mountain, you can park your car at the Lushan cableway lower station parking lot (cable car) or the north gate or south gate transfer center parking lot (ten yuan a day).
