The staff is friendly and the room is clean. The price is also affordable. Good to have a short getaway from Singapore. There is complimentary parking for hotel guests.
Had an enjoyable stay, will stay there again.

Thank you to Trip.com for having a good deal with St Giles Southkey JB. We got 2 rooms for just $160 per night! Now it’s not easy to meet with such prices without codes and Trip coins.
Its our first visit. While there’s a queue at check-in, the Front Desk was doing their best with all 4 counters opened. I am hearing Singlish all around me and you can imagine how popular it is with Singaporeans.
We were lucky enough to be given adjoining rooms with one which is a corner room. The size is much bigger and more comfortable.
I like that the hotel supports sustainability and there is a water dispenser outside for guests to fill up. No single-use bottles to reduce plastic use.
The hotel is so popular and it is running full house. Hence we were not successful in a late check-out request. No worry as they very quickly offer to watch over our multiple bags at the concierge while we continued our shopping.
Hope to be back soon when Sister Trip again offer good rates with attractive promo codes.

Wonderful corner king room at St Giles JB

Over the long weekend holiday, I had a staycation in St Giles Hotel at South Key Johor Bahru. It was my time staying in a corner king room at the hotel.
If given the opportunity, do give the corner room a try. Both the room and the bathroom are more spacious than the regular corridor room. The bathroom is also very clean. Overall, corner room feels somewhat newer than regular corridor room.
I always like staying at St Giles hotel because it is very conveniently located at Mid Valley South Key shopping mall.
I will be back!

Ambiance/Facilities - Avoid peak period after 8am as there will be a long snake like queue to wait to get seated. A restaurant with alot of tables and chairs spread across the restaurant.
Highlights - International Buffet spread which includes Western food like eggs, hotdogs, baked beans, hams, wide spread of breads and crossaint, pancakes, waffles, variety of yogurts to choose from and chocolate and plain cereals. Asian Cuisine like Nasi Lemak, Lontong Sayur lodeh, Mee Goreng, Dishes like Oyster fish, beef with spices, Steamed buns. Hot and cold drinks available like cappuccino, latte, teh tarik, coffee tarik and Americano. Cold drinks like Guava juice, milk and water.

A reputable, delicious Coffee joint at the lobby of St Giles South key Hotel!
What a great way to relax, clead your mind and enjoy your staycation at the lobby of St Giles Southkey Hotel by sipping on your favourite cup of coffee while waiting to check into the hotel room! Ice coffee or Hot Coffee! A variety and vast menu for you to pick and choose your favourite! Definitely one of the better cafe that serves great coffee! The aroma of the coffee beans lingers in the lobby area. A dedicated area is available to sit, read books and daze away, drinking your coffee at the cafe area.
Address - St Giles Southkey Johor Bahru Hotel Lobby. The side entrance takes you directly into Midvalley Mall shopping centre. Indeed very convenient!
Ambiance/Facilities- A therapeutic and calm lobby where you can sit at the sofa and drink your coffee.
Highlights - We love the wide range of coffee available. Especially all the iCe coffee.
Avg. Price per Person - 12 ringgit per cup! Affordable and nice coffee!

Exploring St Giles SouthKey
True as what is mentioned on social media that the room is clean and new however there are few points I would like to highlights. There is no bathtub for all room types if you are looking for a bathtub stay this hotel not suitable. There is no room services so I suggest that if you are not driving then better pre-buy some snack and keep in your room as the mega mall is open from 10am to 10pm. Tried there breakfast true too as mentioned in social media their spread is too little variety. However the hotel customer services are good and they served you patiently. Please also take note their check in time is at 3pm will not be able to check in early if during peak period I was only able to check in at 3.30pm 😅😅. Overall I still preferred KSL hotel as over there have more local foodstuffs 🤭🤭#Hotel #Travel

Dream away across the causeway, soaking and relaxing in the Infinity pool @ St Giles Southkey Hotel.
The infinity pool overlooks the city, a nice view and atmosphere to swim in after a whole day of shopping and eating at Midvalley Mall shopping centre.
There is a few rocking chair by the side of the pool where you can lie down and swing on while looking at the kids swim.
The pool is separated, 1 is 0.6M which is nice for toddlers, the other one is 1.2M where the older kids can enjoy in.
There is a skybar where you can order drinks and watch the city view.

Ambiance/Facilities - Opened in 2022! This hotel just marked its 1st Birthday! A welcoming hotel, great hotel staff that serves with a heart. A nice lobby that is cozy to rest and relax. There is a cafe called Gigi coffee at the lobby which serve nice coffee and the aroma from the coffee gets you high. A great restaurant that serves International buffet spread for Breakfast.
Level 23(highest floor) with a swimming pool. Chill by the pool, with rocking chair, get a drink at The View and Bar Lounge.
Definitely a Kids friendly hotel and has a great view by the pool.!
Highlights - Hotel lobby at Level 3 that is connected directly to Midvalley Mall shopping centre! Convenient mall with huge variety of restaurants, shopping and cinema.
A Tip- Water dispenser at every hotel room floor. Remember to bring a water bottle to refill the water!

St Giles Johor Baru has it all. Great view from the hotel, a new shopping centre Mid Valley just below it and the best halal Korean fast food chain by far in terms of taste and value for money, Mr Dakgalbi. Great Staycation at St. Giles Southkey

Opened in August 2022, St. Giles Southkey is one of the most recently opened hotels in Johor Bahru with direct connection with a big shopping mall - The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey. It's very convenient for hotel guests to shop, dine and relax all under one roof and need not go elsewhere. The big hotel lobby looks stylish and cool with lots of seats and iced drinks for hotel guests to enjoy while waiting for check-in. There is also a gym (of which we did not go), rooftop infinity swimming pool, a rooftop bar and the in-house cafe which is also where the breakfast is provided.

Rooftop Infinity Pool
St Giles Southkey in Johor features a small rooftop infinity swimming pool on level 28. There are a few cushioned pool chairs by the pool for hotel guests to rest, and towels are available for those who need one. The pool overlooks the city and well, it's not exactly a fantastic view to me. There isn't a separate swimming pool for kids but there is a part where the water is shallower around 0.6m.
In the evening, hotel guests can also visit the rooftop bar which is just by the pool to enjoy a drink.

Located not too far from the custom, first time trying St Giles at Mid Valley South key. well connected to the mall, easy access to food and shops.
Let me begin with checking in first! Due to school holidays, there were alot of people. we arrived at 11am to do the paper work check in but was told to wait till after 3pm to get the keys. Hence, returned at 2pm but not ready and then 3pm to see super long queue. Took 1 hour in the queue and thankfully we got our key at 4pm. (The next day was the same and it is definitely weekday we are here) Just be abit prepared!
Rooms was worth price paid, breakfast is local food like Nasi Lemak, bread, soup noodles, coffee is available. Check out the view we got. TV channels come with YouTube so even if chilling at hotel is quite alright. There’s an infinity view swimming pool. Just a small comfy size. Gym is available too.
First time at the mall and took some time for familiarization. ST Giles is located at the end of North wing. Hence, plan your route so that you be back at North area at the end of your itinerary.

St Giles Hotel Johor Bahru is a well-appointed and modern hotel that offers an excellent experience for travelers visiting the city.

The rooms are spacious, well-designed, and come equipped with all the amenities that travelers need for a comfortable stay.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always available to assist guests with anything they may need.
The dining options at St Giles Hotel Johor Bahru are not fantastic. We had the high tea for RM98 which is not value for money and the food are not that nice.
Even the breakfast spread is not great. I would sugges to book a room without breakfast and head down to the mall next door for a good meal instead.
The hotel also offers a range of recreational facilities, including a fitness center, swimming pool, and spa.
Overall, I highly recommend St Giles Hotel Johor Bahru for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the city.

Latest Hotel in JB - St Giles
Brand new hotel. was is attached to a super big Midvalley mall. Everything was new. The toilet was new, the shower head was also new. The bed was also very comfortable and can have a good night sleep with a fantastic river view. They have a rooftop pool but was very small. I felt it was more for kids and was not suitable for adults doing lap swimming. Had a fast checkout as you just need to drop the card into the box. Very nice hotel and will come stay again.

The nearest place for us to go overseas is just across the border and within a few hours you can reach JB (Johor Bahru) for a short holiday. You can either take a bus, or train or drive yourself in, without having the need to spend a bomb on airfare.
What is new and cool in JB right now? That would be the St Giles Southkey Hotel. The hotel is accessible to the mid valley southkey complex, which includes a mall and exhibition halls. A huge establishment for entertainment and shopping. Inside the mall, there is even the popular Japanese departmental store Sogo.
We stayed in the St Giles urban room and it was spacious, clean and bright. The hotel lobby also had a warm and welcoming feel. At the top, there is an infinity Pool with a great view. Stay here and enjoy your stay in Jb!

The room is very spacious and comfy, there is a bay window where it overlooks the city. Shower gel and shampoo are mounted to the bathroom wall. There is water filter dispenser on every floor for guest to refill.
I like that there is a air purifier in every lift, and a hand sanitizer machine at each lift lobby.

St Giles hotel is one of the newly opened four star hotel in mid valley JB. It is situated right above the mall. Stayed at this hotel with my friend during our JB overseas trip. Upon check in, we were served by the friendly front desk staffs and welcome drink was provided. Cool! The room we got was facing a river and highway . Quite a nice view. Room was very new that equipped with modern facilities. Bed was comfortable. In room amenities was adequate. The infinity pool at the top floor has a spectacular view of the city and sky . Most beautiful pool. Beside the pool , there is a bar . A peaceful hotel that is away from busy traffic . Breakfast was provided for our package. Buffet breakfast was delicious with variety of food option to choose from . The mall at the ground floor has many shops ranging from f&b , retail , services and hyper market . Most convenient hotel to stay at. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

The breakfast at St. Giles Southkey is served at the causeway cafe which is located on the 6th floor. As it was a Sunday I wanted to check out the cafe before the peak hour starts, so I went down at about 8.15am to find the cafe to be having very few other guests. It was very quiet and peaceful,I requested a table by the window and went ahead to hit the buffet.
I was surprised to see such a large buffet spread for breakfast. They had Asian/western and Indian food selections, with an egg station cooking up all types of eggs upon order. I tried a little portion of the Nasi lemak and some rice cakes with peanut sauce (Satay sauce) which was super delicious.
Lastly, I had to try the freshly made waffles and pancakes as it looked so good. Overall it was an enjoyable breakfast experience 😋

For my first stay in this brand new hotel (which just opened in the second quarter of 2022) I selected the Urban King room. I arrived at the hotel earlier than the expected check-in time and was pleased to be allocated a room without having to wait. My room was on the 14th floor.
Upon entering the room I could feel the newness of the hotel, everything was fresh and clean. My room had a view of a little river which was nice and refreshing. I also noticed that mineral water bottles are not provided in the hotel instead you may get water from the water refilling point at a central location of the floor.
Overall it was a good stay :)

First time checking out this brand new property located just 10- 15mins away from the CIQ complex. I actually took a grab car here from Doubletree Hilton JB which cost me about 15RM.
As the hotel is brand new, the lobby is very stylish and well-designed to maximise space. The check-in area seems to be able to accommodate large crowds easily.
I also noticed that there were ample seating areas with large floor to ceiling windows which brightened the lobby with natural sunlight.

We usually pay about $14- to $150 for one night weekend stay here and this price is reasonable because it comes with breakfast for 2 pax. When we book early then we pay a bit less and if we book directly, sometimes we get a better rate too since we will be paying in ringgit. The hotel is super busy on weekend and we also see tourist groups checking in here at St Giles Hotel too. The official check in time is 3pm so if you can avoid this timing then is better because you will end up in long queues.
