Charming Morocco Tour: D11 Rabat
From Tangier back to Casablanca, passing through Rabat, to check in at the ancient city of Rabat.
Rabat is also the capital of Morocco, one of the four royal cities, the steps at the gate of the ancient city are also the location of Mission Impossible, Morocco is indeed a charming place, a lot of movies are shot here, every day feels like being in a movie.
Legend of the Imperial City, Rabat Udaya Castle:
Udaya Fort is Rabat's biggest surprise, I almost gave up the road to this blue and white town. Looking at the castle from the outside is the appearance of a shackle. It is said to be a military fortress built at that time for the expedition to Spain. The castle houses the houses of Berber houses, which are light blue and white, fresh and fresh.
Appearance, a veritable military fortress, the quaint and heavy brick red wall encircles the entire castle. The tall coconut trees outside the castle are like beautiful guards, solemn and beautiful. The slender tall coconut trees are faster than the city walls. If I have a courtyard villa in my next life, I must import two coconut trees in the garden. Take a walk around the city wall and fantasize about my beautiful dreams. You should go into the castle and see what it means to be a hole in the sky.
I think that looking at the castle and the fishing boat on the water, the seagull is more natural than the castle. It seems to have more pictures. It seems that there are many people who want to steal my pictures. Tell me how to

Mausoleum of Mohammed V Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Morocco Tour - Mausoleum of Mohammed V
The Mausoleum of Mohammed V is built opposite the symbol of Rabat - Hassan Tower and the ruins of Hassan Mosque, next to the pulpit. Due to the Lisbon earthquake in 1755, the mosque, the grand wall and the mosque's stone pillars were destroyed. The minaret has changed from the original 85 meters to the current 45 meters. However, from the remaining 312 stone pillars and the broken walls, one can still imagine the style of a thousand years ago.
Mohammed V Mausoleum, Rabat, World Heritage Site, Morocco.
Rabat is the capital of Morocco, the national political, cultural, and transportation center, known as one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, the other three being Fez, Marrakesh, and Meknes. The modern city of Rabat and the historic old city are listed as world cultural heritage.
The tomb of Mohammed V is located in the center of Rabat. Mohammed V was the father of former king Hassan II and passed away in 1961. The construction of Mohammed V's tomb began in 1962 and was completed in 1971. The building complex is huge, decorated in Arab style, and filled with exquisite carvings. On both sides of the tomb chamber in the grand palace are the tombs of Hassan II and his brother Prince Abdullah. There are guards on duty.
Near the tomb of Mohammed V, there is the ancient site of the Hassan Mosque, built in the 12th century, with over 300 large stone columns, the Hassan Tower, and ancient walls, which evoke the glory and splendor of the largest mosque in North Africa at the time.
Rabat is the capital, with trams and taxis for convenience. A simple way is to show the driver photos of the attractions on your phone and agree on a price. Even if boiled, tap water in Morocco is not suitable for drinking, so bottled water is needed, with larger bottles being cheaper. Local infants also use bottled water.
Visiting the Mausoleum of Mohammed V requires purchasing a ticket. Generally, one hour is enough for sightseeing and taking photos.
Rabat, the capital of Morocco, is a modern city with a historic old town that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Rabat, the capital of Morocco, is a coastal city on the Atlantic Ocean, humid and cool in summer. Rabat can be reached by train from Marrakech and Casablanca. The main street in Rabat is called Mohammed V Avenue, with tall tropical plants providing shade, office buildings, and beautiful old post offices and communication buildings. The citizens dress fashionably and have an urban style. The train station (Figure 8) is very modern, with trams shuttling along the streets and cafes on the side of the road. The old city can be reached on foot from the city center, and at the end of the walk, you can see the sea and the lighthouse. In the old city, you can see ancient Arab architecture and mosques, and residents still maintain a strong medieval way of life. In 2012, Rabat was selected as a World Heritage Site, including the old city and the new city designed and built during the French protectorate from 1912 to 1930.
The mausoleum of Mohammed V in Rabat was built in the mid-20th century, with a majestic and elegant architectural style. The ruins of Chellah are the remains of the royal tombs of the Marinid dynasty in Morocco, where the outer walls, mosques, and minarets built during the Merinid dynasty can still be faintly seen.
There are good hotels and restaurants in the center of Rabat, and many places are marked in English. We took the train from Marrakech to Rabat and should get off at GARE RABAT VILLE. As we approached, we saw the words RABAT AGDAL on the platform and hurriedly got off. After asking, we found out that it was not far from the Rabat city center train station GARE RABAT VILLE. We took a taxi to the hotel without any trouble. Two days in Rabat is enough, walking for sightseeing within the city and taking a taxi for longer distances is very convenient.
Tomb of Muhammad V. This modern mausoleum buryes the father and grandfather of the king of Morocco today. The door is guarded by the Royal Red Guards guarded by the head, but visitors can take a photo with them. The entire building is made of marble, white walls and green tiles, and is extremely luxurious. There are many portraits and historical materials of the king inside the tomb. Full of exotic colors, it is also a popular tourist attraction.

Hassan Tower Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Scenery of Rabat
Hassan tower boast a lovely plaza. It is a lot of beauty in one location. Great place to go for a read, date, walk or to take photos. When the weather is nice and the birds are chirping the atmosphere here is really soothing. As a traveler this is definitely a great place to visit and experience art and culture of Rabat.
Hassan tower has a nice park area around it as well and is a short distance to marina. #rabat #morocco #walk
Incomplete Mosque
Hassan Tower is located at Boulevard Mohamed Lyazidi, Rabat, Morocco, which was built in 1196.
It was commissioned by Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the third Caliph of the Almohad Caliphate. The tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world, and the mosque, if completed, would be the largest in the western muslim world. When Al-Mansur died in 1199, the construction of the mosque stopped.
The mosque is strategically placed on the high south bank of the Bu Regreg river to provide a spectacle visible for miles around.
Located across from the Hassan Tower, contains the tombs of the Moroccan King Mohammed V and his two sons, late king Hassan II and Prince Abdallah built in 1961 and completed in 1971.
Hassan Tower was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012 as part of Rabat, modern capital and historic city as shared heritage.
Rabat is the capital of Morocco, and it is also the capital that does not have much sense of existence, because many people know Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez or Chefchaouen, but it is really little known about Rabat. Rabat, on the verge of the Atlantic, is one of the four largest imperial cities in Morocco with Fes, Marrakech and Meknes. It has been the political capital of Morocco since 1912.
In the glory of the 12th century, the King of Morocco planned to build a largest mosque in North Africa in Rabat. The legendary mosque covers an area of 25,000 square meters, with 19 halls and 480 pillars, and the minaret is 80 meters high. But the mosque was not finished yet, and the king was blissful. The mosque under construction was also unfinished. Only the miniature version of the minaret was barely finished, and it was reduced to 44 meters. This is the current Hassan Tower. In 1755, a famous earthquake with Lisbon as the epicenter caused the unfinished mosque to escape the catastrophe. All the mosques that had not yet been completed collapsed, leaving only 312 high and low pillars and minaret.

Morocco's good weather has rendered me a good mood all day, the sun is particularly gentle, the mood is up up, explore the country, enter the Royal Palace and Mechourar, Hassan Tower Hassan Tower and Mohamed 5th Mosoluem, strolling in the old-style palace style...
Royal Palace Rabat Morocco Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The least noticeable capital--the most 'colorful' capital
When it comes to Rabat, you definitely don't know where it is, but if you mention Morocco, the northernmost country in Africa, it's definitely on many travelers' destination lists! And Rabat is the famous capital of Morocco, also known as the most 'colorful' capital by me!
Although low-key, this city is endlessly charming.
A sense of relaxation is the best interpretation of this city. On the shores of the Atlantic, full of exotic ambiences. Surfing teenagers, strolling tourists, cuddling cats, all lost in the intricate old town.
The streets and alleys are like fleeing pythons, winding and twisting, and the buildings on both sides are mostly in red and white.
It is for this reason that the city is full of surprises, because you never know if the next corner will bring you to the sea or a clear sky.
great Rabat great Morocco
Rabat old town
Rabat grand palace
the old Medina Rabat
The Royal Palace of Rabat in Morocco is now the place where the king can work and meet foreign guests. Although the palace cannot be visited, the king has opened a square to tourists from all over the world. It is OK to stand on the road and take a picture in the palace. . It is a visit to the card attractions. Being so close to the office of the king, I am afraid that Morocco is one of the few countries.
The
Rabat Palace is not far from here. It is not possible to visit here. Look outside and there are two handsome soldiers guarding the door. The current King Mohammed VI and his predecessor Hassan II lived in the Royal Palace of Rabat more than the ancestors. It is said that in order to implicitly tell the people that "Your Majesty is Absent", the palace has an interesting secret: the square on the side of the palace There is a fountain that looks less eye-catching. If the fountain is sprayed with water, the king is in the palace. If the fountain is dripping, it means the king is not in the palace. Today, the fountain is still dry, and there are few sprays.
