Hotels With parking in Tasmania, Australia

I took a public bus from Hobart city and arrived in 10 minutes from the bus stop. Public buses are currently free for a limited time, so I recommend it for those who want to save money. The double bed and shower-toilet were spacious, and I could watch YouTube on the TV. The next morning, I had to go to the airport before the first shuttle bus, so I walked to save money. It was a 30-minute walk pushing a suitcase, but the sidewalks were well-maintained and easy to walk on.

The room was very nice, the boss was very nice, and he also provided a rich breakfast. It is also very convenient to go to various tourist attractions. It's also very close to the city. The overall feeling of staying here is very relaxing!

The room wasn't very big, and since I booked only a week in advance, the price was a bit higher than expected. Overall, the hygiene was acceptable, although there were hairs on the bed and in the bathroom when I checked in. The hotel staff helped us resolve that. I forgot to take photos of the room, but you can refer to the hotel's pictures and other reviews; they're all pretty similar. It's worth noting that international hotels aren't as accommodating as domestic ones when it comes to upgrades. Here, you'd either need to be a high-tier member or pay for a higher room category to get an upgrade. Each day, the room is stocked with two bottles of drinking water, a carton of milk, and the usual capsule coffee and tea bags – pretty standard. However, I don't understand why housekeeping moved my belongings. Several times, I returned to find my neck pillow on the floor, clothes I'd hung on the hanger had been moved, and my slippers were in a different spot. While it's not a major issue, it was a bit annoying for someone with OCD. I hope the hotel can pay attention to this aspect. I've included a few breakfast photos. On a side note, the fillet steak at the downstairs restaurant was very tender and worth trying.

We had the most amazing stay here, all thanks to the incredible hospitality!We arrived at Hobart Airport after a super long and exhausting journey, and we were honestly running on empty. Melissa at the front desk was an absolute lifesaver! She noticed how tired we were and immediately went to work trying to get us an early check-in. Since our room wasn’t quite ready, she safely stored our luggage for us and text us the very second it was clean. That meant the world to us!She also gave us a fantastic, super detailed rundown of all the hotel facilities. To make things even better, our room had a stunning, super beautiful view of the lake. We couldn't take our eyes off it!

I've been to Australia three times, but this was my first trip to Tasmania. I traveled solo, taking a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart to Launceston in the north. I stayed at this Best Western Plus for two nights, and my overall experience was very good. **Cleanliness:** Very clean, and housekeeping cleans daily. If you're staying multiple nights and don't need cleaning the next day, you can hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on your doorknob, and they'll give you an 8 AUD meal voucher for breakfast at the restaurant. **Facilities:** Standardized beds and a bathroom. The room was spacious, very comfortable for one person. The bathroom had bath towels, regular towels, and hand towels. Laundry supplies were also provided. The minibar offered free tea bags and instant coffee. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water were in the room, with additional bottles costing 4 AUD each. The parking lot 🅿️ was quite large. **Service:** Breakfast was a continental breakfast, including bread, butter, jam, milk, and oatmeal.

Freycinet Lodge offered a memorable stay right in the heart of Freycinet National Park, surrounded by stunning coastal scenery. The staff, especially David, were incredibly friendly and attentive—always ready with personalized tips for hikes and local spots. Our room was cozy. Breakfast at the Bay Restaurant was a highlight, with fresh Tasmanian produce, delicious hot options, and that unbeatable relaxed vibe. It’s an ideal base for exploring Wineglass Bay trails without needing to rush. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return.

Fantastic stay. This is also one of the closest accommodations to the visitor centre.  Absolutely cosy vibes with the wooden interior and balcony. Space is big with lots of room to navigate, and have separate areas for to do different things.  Lounge area has games (and heating, of course) if you are locked in by the weather which I thought was a nice touch. There is also a library of DVDs for you to borrow from if you’d like (lots of kids friendly titles). You can also see cradle mountain from the lounge area. Kitchenette was also well furnished with sufficient items for us to do our cooking (you’d know that there aren’t much amenities in the area, please arrive prepared), including salt, pepper, and oil which other places may not actually didn’t provide in a kitchenette. 

The room photos on Trip.com were taken when the room was brand new. It clearly is no longer the case now - some staining on the curtains and soft furniture and marks on walls. Overall, for the price, it's still acceptable. Check-in is done at the bar like most similar types of accommodation above a pub. Bedding is exceptionally comfortable - special mention of the supremely comfortable mattress and pillows. 5-star bed. Water pressure in the shower is weak - 60% of what I would have liked. Bottled water and milk in the fridge is a nice touch. Crockery and cutlery provided in the kitchen. You will have to lug your luggage up 1 flight of stairs as there's no lift.

The hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.

How to describe it... the room was very spacious with high ceilings, and both the views outside and the common areas inside were fantastic. The breakfast was a set meal, beautifully prepared and delicious – more than enough to eat. The downside was that upon arrival at 5 PM, the staff had already left. I called them, but their English wasn't great, and it took me half an hour to figure out how to open the password lock and get the room card. The staff work from 8 AM to 4 PM, and breakfast starts at 8 AM, which is a bit late. I stayed for three nights but only managed to have breakfast once due to the timing. In the bathroom, there were no mouthwash cups. The sink was too small, and water would splash out easily if the tap was turned on too much. The faucet looked nice, but it was hard to find the right water temperature; you had to turn it millimeter by millimeter to adjust it. On the plus side, parking was convenient and free, which is a definite advantage since most hotels charge for it.
