Room was fairly clean but the hotel is old and a bit run down. The location of the hotel , downtown of Waterbury , is not great. We heard gun shots during the night , and did not feel safe walking around outside. Was told to park our car in the a specific parking lot that ”had surveillance.” All in all - an old hotel in a rough neighborhood. Will not be coming back
This stay experience far exceeded expectations! The location of the hotel is excellent, you can walk to the subway station in 5 minutes, and there are several restaurants that locals often go to. It is especially convenient to travel for food. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and I fell asleep before lying down. The quality of sleep was particularly good. The young lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic, the check-in speed was very fast, and she took the initiative to recommend niche attractions and pit avoidance strategies to me. The WiFi signal is stable, the hot water comes out in 3 seconds, the water pressure is also very sufficient, and the bath is very comfortable. This price can enjoy such services and facilities, the price is really too high, I will choose next time.
The room was not completely ready. There was no sofa, a large room in the living room was free. There were no towels, toilet paper, or the small products they normally give to the room. I had to ask the whole thing at the reception.
As part of our exciting trip to Yale University, our group consisting of students, teachers, and parents stayed at the Quality Inn, and we couldn't have asked for a better location and experience! our trip to Yale University was greatly enhanced by our stay at Quality Inn. The combination of its convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent service made it an ideal choice for our group of students, teachers, and parents. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Yale or the surrounding area!
The facility was lackluster at best. It used to be great. Eco friendly was claimed for not doing daily room service. Hypocritical. There were paper plates, plastic serve where, and poorly working HVAC units. The organization was simply looking to cut down on costs. Similarly, I’ve seen better breakfasts at hotels that cost half as much. Vents in the bathrooms were nonfunctional. The window could only be closed from the outside. I look forward to posting this on yelp unless you make amends.
This hotel offers fantastic value for money. The only minor downside is its distance from the train station, but everything else was excellent and definitely exceeded my expectations. It's only a little over a 20-minute walk to Yale.
First of all, the location of the hotel is very good. There are many restaurant options in the few blocks before and after the main road at the entrance. It is also very close to walk to various parts of the university. Secondly, although the hotel lobby is not big, it has many comfortable sofas and the decoration is quite warm. When I went there, it happened to be during the Model United Nations competition. Players from all over the world were having lively discussions there. There was also a thoughtful computer in the lobby. Computers, I see people using them often, are indeed needed sometimes. Although the room is not big, it is not cramped either. I booked a double bed room and the bed is quite comfortable. I wonder if the reason why I don’t feel jet lag is because of the bed😏 There is a long desk in the room, which is convenient for me I deal with some work matters every night. There is a heating cabinet next to the sofa. It looks unprepossessing, but it is very practical. On this snowy day, I will wring out the small items that need to be washed and put them on it to dry, and then put them on it the next day. Once it’s dry, dry it before changing clothes. It’ll still be warm when you put it on😄 It’s like I’ve unlocked a new function. The service is just right. They don't bother me or are overly enthusiastic. However, they can help me in time when needed. They also clean the room and change towels regularly every day (I have seen some comments before that it is not provided every day after staying in a foreign hotel). of these services)
A small group of friends had plans to attend a Show at Foxwoods. The hotel was in close proximity to Foxwoods and provided a shuttle on Saturday night. The shuttle service was convenient and timely. The hotel was clean and neat upon arrival. It served our needs for an overnight stay and was cost effective. There was also a continental breakfast available for guests.
If you own a car and buy food, drink and daily necessities in advance, it will be good. It is suitable for those who want to live at home. It has a small kitchen, wet and dry separation in the bathroom... The air conditioning temperature is controllable, and the bedding is comfortable. There is no ancillary facilities such as a hotel lobby, and there is a simple breakfast. It’s pretty much the same as an average American family breakfast. Coffee, milk, eggs, hot oatmeal... That's it: you buy some daily necessities, add luggage, and live comfortably ”at home”. Therefore, go to Target before moving in. It is suitable for you to stay for a long time if you have children studying nearby. Remember! You must have your own car.
This hotel was nice. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable though. It was a king that slumped in the middle. Also didn’t like that there was no continental breakfast.

GGuest UserExcellent service. Shelley was a great help. She has excellent customer service. Goes out her way for guest. Has a nice smile when she talks to customers.
GGuest UserA positive surprise: the room had a couch corner, coffee machine and microwave as well as the actual bedroom. This is rare in this price range. Although everything was clean, the hotel also has room for improvement (peeling wallpaper and stained sofa). The reception staff were very quick and friendly!
GGuest UserI didn't realize there was no surface lots and I'd have to pay $25/day for parking. I might have missed that in the description so that's not really an issue. We were given a room on the top floor, in practically the farthest corner away from the elevator which was quiet, but far away from the rest of my daughter's teammates who were staying on lower floors. We dropped our stuff and went right to the pool. There were only 4 chairs and no towels left so we had to go searching for them and most of our stuff got wet sitting on the floor so that was frustrating. The signs on each floor say ”ice and vending” but the floors I checked had ice machines only and I had to resort to paying $4.00 for a can of orange soda at the bar for my daughter. The store in the hotel was closed, though I'm not sure if it would've been cheaper. After swimming and hanging out in the spacious lobby, we returned to our room to realize it wasn't very clean but it was time for my daughter to shower and go to bed since she had a gymnastics meet at 7:45 am. I took pictures of the hair tie in the sink, the bug on the bathroom floor, the hair on the vanity and floor, the stains on the bed skirt, etc. Kind of disappointed bc I usually stay at Marriott hotels for work and never have these issues. The coffee shop in the lobby was quick the next morning though which was good since we had to get up so early.
GGuest UserThis hotel had a big open lobby with a bar and plenty of areas to use laptops or to gather in small groups.
Convenient parking in a garage was located below the hotel. The elevators were extremely efficient. We were on the 8th floor and never waited. The hotel staff is hard to reach by phone but when we arrived they happily let us check into our room a little early. The beds are very comfortable and very high! The tv remote is odd and we had to call to figure out how to use it. Early morning coffee urns were late to arrive. The hotel is very close to I-95 which was helpful.
GGuest UserLocated in the suburbs of Hartford, you can enjoy the American rural scenery along the way. The roadside is full of exquisite residential buildings, and the lawns are neatly trimmed, which is very beautiful. The hotel room is very spacious, the breakfast is also very good, and the service attitude is very friendly and polite. The wooden building structure has a slightly poor sound insulation. The footsteps of the guests on the upper floor can affect the lower floor. Overall, I am very satisfied. Tips, the breakfast is rich, the oatmeal porridge is suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the bagel with butter is very liked.
GGuest UserThe location is a bit remote, but it doesn't make much difference if you're driving. The room is clean and tidy, the facilities are relatively old, and the breakfast is relatively simple. Overall, it's a good experience.
TTanveer Ahmed A RazakStayed just for night but loved it. We stayed in King room and it was big. The indoor pool was great thing too. Free parking outside the hotel and within hotel grounds was excellent. And just a 10-15 min drive to Mystic and Groton. A great stay for the price.

GGuest UserThe price is great! They are fully staffed and courtesy. They have a pool and the lobby is very clean. However, in all honesty, there needs to be a day of DEEP CLEANING. Spiderwebs and dusty walls and stair case. Stained window curtains and bed sheets. Bathroom vents revealed other room arguing very clearly. And the stained towels I really did not like! Luckily I keep face clothes & towels with me. And even pillows and blankets to throw on top of theirs. Oh and I really disliked the “hot” breakfast thru offer. Only thing hot is one waffle maker for entire hotel. No eggs. Only protein was protein peanut butter bars & that’s not good protein and some ppl allergic to nuts. No dairy free options if I recall for the cereal. And only orange juice no other juice alternatives. Just very basic but overall I would give 3 1/2 stars bc it could be worse. I am more concerned more so with the cleanliness of the everywhere outside the lobby, sheets & towels can be replaced.
