This hotel is quite pricey for Lanzhou, but it's definitely worth the money. The location is top-notch, right by the Yellow River, and very close to Zhongshan Bridge, Waterwheel Garden, and the Du Zhe Museum, making transportation very convenient. The hygiene is excellent; everything is clean and tidy. The staff also asked every day if I needed housekeeping, which was a nice touch. The service is also top-tier. When I arrived by taxi, a staff member immediately helped with my luggage, and a robot even delivered my takeout orders directly to my room. The only thing that could be improved is the interior design. For example, the bathroom doesn't have a small sink, and the air conditioning is central, so it can't be adjusted independently in the room. For someone like me who gets hot easily, it wasn't cool enough.

The best aspect of this stay was by far the owner. He was incredibly, incredibly helpful and friendly — from the moment I walked in the door he offered me a cup of tea, then provided tea and bread the next morning for breakfast, offered advice on what to see in the area, arranged a car to take me to Dalzong Lake, and finally even found me a spot on a local minibus going to my next destination. I couldn’t have done half the things I did during my stay in Xiahe without his advice and efforts on my behalf, so that alone made staying here fully worthwhile! It’s worth mentioning that the guesthouse’s architecture is also absolutely beautiful, and everything looks quite new. It’s located down a quiet side alley off of one of the main commercial streets in town, which seems like the ideal placement. On the accommodations: I stayed in one of the two tents erected on the second floor of the guesthouse. This was largely quite a good experience! The bed was very comfortable (with a heated pad), water and towels provided, etc. The tents are not in a closed-off area, but rather on the second floor/balcony area that also is used for sitting, serving tea, etc., so privacy is somewhat limited, but the whole guesthouse is relatively quiet anyway so it doesn’t feel like a public space. My only suggestions for improvement would be related to the bathroom: during my stay, the shared bathroom for the tents was a sort of temporary-style booth installed in the corner of the room with a toilet, sink, and showerhead. The bathroom was very clean and everything inside worked well, but its sliding door separated from the wall enough that there was always a substantial enough space on one side or the other that could be seen through (the door also didn’t lock and slid back and forth easily). The booth was also small enough that, realistically, I think it would be a bit of a challenge to actually use it to shower. If possible it might be worth looking into some simple fixes to improve these situations, but otherwise I have no complaints!

This is a very special place to stay and the best option for visiting the Danxia Park. I visited in April and essentially had the site to ourselves. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is also good. The site is ideal to be able to enter the park early to see the sunset as well as spend time close to the formations from the comfort of the camp. Like any camp one has to be prepared for shared bathrooms and showers, but the overall experience makes it totally worth it. At night it does get a bit cold, depending on the season, but with the heaters provided it was fine. I would highly recommend!

My experience at the Dunhuang Desert Camping Hotel truly exceeded all my expectations! It perfectly blended the grandeur and wildness of the desert with the comfort and sophistication of camping. Delicious food, stunning scenery, fun activities, and attentive service – everything was top-notch. Whether you're on a romantic getaway, a trip with friends, or a family vacation, you'll find your own joy here and create unforgettable desert memories. When you come to Dunhuang, you absolutely must reserve a night here. Eating a whole roasted lamb in the desert, watching a bonfire party, and stargazing from your tent will undoubtedly become the most cherished moments of your trip! I wholeheartedly recommend it; you won't be disappointed!

The hotel I stayed at in Dunhuang was quite interesting, called Dunhuang Hotel, but it's actually just a small three-story hotel. **1. Rooms and Facilities:** I'd advise you to book a twin room, as they are very spacious. The single or queen rooms, on the other hand, are incredibly small, I'm not sure what the design idea was there. What's truly frustrating is the poor soundproofing; you can hear people jumping around upstairs, which is really annoying. **2. Price and Service:** Even during the off-season in Dunhuang, this hotel wasn't particularly cheap, but overall, it was acceptable. The service was also quite ordinary. I was shocked at check-in when, even at 3 PM, my room wasn't ready yet, which felt absurd. I initially wanted to switch rooms, but ended up not doing so. **3. Dining and Amenities:** The hotel doesn't offer complimentary breakfast. If you ask about it, they'll just tell you to pay extra. Of course, eating out in Dunhuang is also an option. **4. Complimentary Activities:** The hotel also offers a so-called ”Western Splendor Tour” or something similar. However, it's a group tour with over 50 people. How do these large bus tours make money, you ask? It's all through commission on ticket sales. So, overall, this hotel is quite average. The kickbacks are significant; for about 40 people, they can get around 1,000 RMB back, meaning 20-30 RMB per person. Because that tour route has so many scenes and attractions, it's all about earning commission. Therefore, I truly don't recommend this hotel. Maybe someone on Xiaohongshu recommended it, so I tried it, but it would have been better to just go for a more standardized option like an All Seasons or Hanting.

I chose this hotel for my business trip and was extremely satisfied. The hotel environment is quiet, perfect for both rest and work. The in-room office facilities are complete, and the internet signal is stable with fast speeds, making it very convenient for handling work. The gym facilities are also new, allowing me to relax after work. The staff member, Mikex, was professional and efficient, perfectly meeting my business needs.

Conveniently located within walking distance to the labrang monastery (400m) west entrance. They could arrange for transportation around xiahe. Room was clean and spacious , just a little cold as we arrived in end may which makes it difficult to take a shower. Generally, we enjoyed our stay there. As we were staying there for 3 days, we later had to venture out further to try other food varieties. Would prefer if they could arrange for more affordable prices for non native speaking travellers when securing private car hires.

Traveling to Dunhuang, staying at Nashashan B&B is full of happiness on the whole trip, I really recommend it to all friends who come to Mingsha Mountain to play. The most worry-free is the free pick-up and drop-off service. Before landing, make an appointment with the boss. The driver is waiting at the airport on time. The large luggage is helped to carry the whole process. The return journey is also intimately arranged to drop off the plane. You don't have to take a taxi to drag the suitcase. It saves a lot of trouble and is especially friendly to long-distance tourists. The staff in the store were warm and thoughtful throughout the whole process, with a gentle and patient attitude. Just arrived at the homestay to carefully explain the surrounding routes, inform Mingsha Mountain to watch the sunrise, Crescent Spring to take pictures of the best time, and also actively recommend authentic seafood snacks and cost-effective specialty shops. Any demand on weekdays is responded quickly, helping to store luggage, borrowing sunscreen supplies, the subtleties are particularly warm, as comfortable as living in an acquaintance's home. The quality of breakfast far exceeded expectations, and the variety was very rich, taking into account the taste of the north and south. There are steamed buns, flower rolls, corn porridge, millet porridge, with cold side dishes, boiled eggs, and Dunhuang special apricot skin water, handmade noodles, fresh ingredients, the weight is real, eat enough and drink enough to go to the desert to play, all day full of energy, light warm stomach is very suitable for the northwest dry climate. The room hygiene is meticulous, the whole house is cleaned, the bedding is soft and odorless, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the hot water is stable and sufficient. Considering the dry climate in Dunhuang, each room is equipped with a humidifier, and the living comfort is greatly improved. The homestay is very close to Mingsha Mountain, and you can reach the scenic spot on foot. In the evening, the evening breeze is blowing in the small courtyard, and you can see the sand dunes setting sun. The courtyard is elegantly furnished and full of northwest style. The overall price is super high, transportation, catering, service, environment are all online, the butler is intimate and meticulous, and the one-stop food, lodging and travel are very suitable. Whether it is a couple's trip or a family trip, it is very suitable. Next time I come to Dunhuang, I still prefer Nasha Mountain. Amway has prepared for relatives and friends around me to travel.

Highly recommend the Earth-Built Hotel! The room styles are unique, making for a warm and cozy stay. The hygiene is top-notch, with every detail sparkling clean. Their beverages are great too; the pour-over coffee is aromatic, and the teas are authentic. The staff provides thoughtful and genuine service, very friendly without being overbearing. It was a truly relaxing stay, and the price is reasonable. Whether it's for a short getaway or a stopover, it's an excellent choice and a perfect spot for photos. Definitely worth a return visit!

Overall, I'm satisfied. The price isn't expensive, so it offers decent value for money. Facilities: The room itself is quite good, on par with your typical Mercure or Ji Hotel in a city. However, there's a disconnect with the public facilities like the laundry room, elevators, and restaurant, which are a bit subpar, more like a guesthouse. Environment: It's right next to the night market, so the location is excellent. There's also a shuttle bus across the street that goes to the Mogao Grottoes. Hygiene: There were some blind spots for cleanliness. On the day I checked in, there was still a positioning sticker from the previous guest's bathtub liner stuck to the tub. It's not a major issue, but it does show the level of hygiene. For around 200 yuan, it's a very good price. If it were peak season, they'd need to improve a bit more. I regret not taking photos of the interior, but the hotel's pictures are accurate and trustworthy; the actual room is exactly as shown.
