The apartment was better than I expected. The room was tidy and new, and the price was good value compared to other places nearby. It's a 5-minute walk to the subway station, which was perfect for us as we were out early and back late. The only downside is that it's close to the main street, so there's some traffic noise, but my husband and I are both heavy sleepers, so we didn't mind. Highly recommended.

I was impressed by the amenities I have got in the room. You will get all you needed for trip, from slippers, toothbrush to hair roller. I really appreciate the little kitchenette with all cutlery ready for use. House keeping was very helpful and the room is really clean 👍
Location is a bit out of the tourist spots however it is still walking distance and a tram station is right there 3 mins walk from the hotel. Grocery shop, cafe and restaurant are just 5 mins away. Very good value for money.
Divani Caravel Hotel delivered a genuine 5-star experience right in the heart of Athens. The hotel is big, spacious, and elegant, offering a very comfortable and luxurious stay.
I requested a special surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday at midnight, and the team organized everything perfectly exactly as expected. The attention to detail and care made the moment truly special.
We also used the spa and enjoyed a massage, which was excellent and very relaxing. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of options, the staff were friendly and professional, and the small Christmas gift was a lovely and thoughtful touch.
The location is excellent, with easy access to all major attractions. Overall, a classy hotel with outstanding service highly recommended for a special stay in Athens.
Everything about the hotel was great. The hygiene was good, the front desk was always staffed, and the facilities were excellent and new. The only issue was the neighborhood; around dusk, there were a lot of suspicious-looking people near the city center, which is a major safety concern in Athens due to serious theft and robbery. However, as long as you're careful and return before dark, it's fine. I really liked the hotel itself. There's also a beautiful rooftop terrace with amazing views.
Dave Red in Athens is definitely a hotel with character! If you want to stay somewhere not so ordinary, then this is your choice.
The hotel's public spaces and rooms are extremely clean and very tastefully designed with a nod to the building's historical past. The colour palette is in contrasting dark/red tones which gives it unique atmosphere. The main highlight of my room was the super comfy bed and the balcony with a street view. In terms of the size, the room wasn't the biggest but more than enough for a single person.
I would like to especially emphasise the staff of the hotel who were extremely helpful, spoke fluent English and gave valuable recommendations. It felt like they really care about their guests' comfort and want them to have best experience in Athens.
All the amenities were top notch: breakfast, gym (small but functional), iron and ironing board on request, and a little rooftop space with a communal hot tub😍

The location is pretty good, about an 8-minute walk from the subway station, and you can get there directly from the airport. There are plenty of food options nearby, and it's very close to the street BBQ place.
I arrived quite late that day and was assigned an upper bunk. I mentioned that I had requested a lower bunk when booking, and they ended up giving me a four-person dorm room all to myself! Although someone did check in in the middle of the night.
The room is spacious, has a private bathroom, and even comes with a complimentary beer or soft drink. The rooftop bar is excellent, offering direct views of the Acropolis.
The room's cleanliness is also very good. It has lockers, hangers, and a balcony, so drying clothes is not an issue.

The location is pretty good. There's a Chinese restaurant a few hundred meters away, and you can easily walk to the Acropolis from here. The hotel environment is decent, and the front desk staff was reasonably welcoming. Breakfast was also alright.
A memorable stay, check-in at the hotel was very efficient.
Service: Attentive and thoughtful
Environment: Elegant
Cleanliness: Spotless
Facilities: Well-maintained
The location is excellent, making it very convenient to visit the Acropolis, and the breakfast was delicious.
The hotel is relatively clean but the rooms aren't very big and the floor smells bad. The staff especially the reception are very helpful and friendly . the location is central but some homeless people hang out around the hotel all the time.
The guest relation manager John iş the best told him it was my mama birthday he organized it amazing gifted us two bottles of wine and macarons . Even write a handwritten letter, very cute thank you. The hotel breakfast was bomb , pool is small not like in the pictures . Room amazing stylish , fancy . Everything great . Thanks John

AAlexandraI traveled to Athens for a business reason. The room was in the center, spacious near shops for coffee and food. It provides paid parking right next to it, so you don't have to look for a place. The service is amazing and the staff is very kind!! I would definitely choose it again!!!
GGuest UserVery clean apartment with wonderful views, bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee facilities in the room and a tv. The breakfast was varied and filling with excellent service. The staff were friendly and very helpful with a taxi service which was superb. We would definitely return for a lovely, quiet relaxing stay. It is a little’out of the way’ but definitely worth the stay .
GGuest UserGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day.
Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website).
Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’.
Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath.
Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely.
In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located across the road from the airport terminal and adjacent to the enclosed walkway (bridge) to the Airport Train Station. From the Departure floor, you go downstairs to the Arrival level and exit Door 3 and walk across the road towards Sofitel… However, it can be a problem if it is a rainy day… I think the hotel should include instructions and a walking map from the terminal and also to and from train station..
GGuest UserThe room was small; what they called a triple occupancy just meant an extra sofa. Luckily, there was plenty of counter space to put our things. Housekeeping came every two days, and we got mineral water upon check-in based on the number of guests, but it wasn't replenished during our stay. However, there's free water available on the first floor.
There's a supermarket on the street behind the hotel, making it easy to buy water for 0.15 Euros. Convenience stores nearby charge 1 Euro. The surroundings aren't particularly scenic, just a regular street, a bit cluttered, like a third-tier city in China. The safety was fine; I was a bit nervous before coming, but there was nothing to worry about. It's close to the Acropolis, which is very convenient for sightseeing. There's a Chinese restaurant not far to the right when you exit, and also one towards the Acropolis.
I just felt the value for money was really low. For this price, you could stay in a five-star hotel in China, but here it's just a budget hotel. It is what it is, I guess.
Hardly needed any cash; credit cards were accepted everywhere.
**Cleanliness:** Decent, clean and tidy.
**Service:** Everyone greeted us upon entering and exiting, very enthusiastic.

GGuest UserThe biggest advantage of this apartment hotel is that it is in a good location, located in the city center, walking to the market, monuments, subway stations (40 minutes from Metro Line 3 to the airport), downstairs is full of lively restaurants, super convenient. The room is very large, a family of three and four are no problem, the facilities are complete, you can eat like a home, the hotel provides a variety of breakfasts, overall it is good. The only downside is that the surrounding area is too lively, and the restaurant bar below is noisy until two or three in the morning every day.
PPuay Teck OngThe exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly.
None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly.
The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough.
The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long.
The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI booked a single room and it was larger than expected and the bathroom had a bath. I was on the 9th floor. The room had a city view which was unexpected. There was air conditioning, a kettle a fridge and plenty of space for luggage. There was no coffee available only T. So I bought my own. There was a range of shower wash and body cream. The soap was olive oil soap and very nice. The water in the fridge was not complimentary and I had to pay for it when I checked out. I didn’t book breakfast. It was quite noisy at times on Floor 9 with screaming children and young men congregating chatting and being loud. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well in it. The plug sockets were not near the bed. The pool at the top was brilliant but it was very busy. The views were spectacular and the food in the bar was very good. The staff in the bar were very kind. The hotel is very well situated near train stations but walking is much more interesting! There are some great shops and markets in the area and museums are not far away. It takes about 20 mins to walk into the centre if you enjoy your walk. I recommend junk shops on the walk to the Acropolis.
