This is a great option if you're driving. The hotel environment is lovely and beautiful. Considering it was a holiday and the price, it was quite a good deal. The front desk staff were very friendly. It's super close to the night market, only a three-minute walk away. The room wasn't particularly large. I hope the hotel can pay attention to the bedding; one of the pillows was really uncomfortable. I didn't bother changing it since I was only staying one night. There was plenty of parking right outside. Overall, it's pretty good.

Facilities: It has everything you'd expect: a bathtub, a large bed, and an ergonomic chair. A pleasant surprise was the humidifier, but unfortunately, the air conditioning was broken, which was a downside. Also, there was no executive lounge, which was disappointing. Special shout-out to the swimming pool, it was excellent.
Cleanliness: Good.
Service: I'd like to give a special mention to Esther at the front desk; her service was warm, thoughtful, and absolutely wonderful.
The hotel is located right next to the Hebei Museum in Shijiazhuang, literally just downstairs, and the surrounding shopping malls are also very close, which is super convenient. Everything about the hotel is top-notch. It's a landmark building, quite tall, offering great views of Shijiazhuang's night lights. The room was clean and comfortable, and they even provided complimentary drinks. The only minor downsides were that during the Chinese New Year, there were a lot of guests, so breakfast service was a bit slow, and finding a seat was a challenge. Other than that, I couldn't find any faults. The room facilities were also very new. Overall, my stay was incredibly pleasant.
Nearly ten stays in two years, turning this hotel into a warm haven I call home.
Nestled amidst the hustle and bustle of Sports South Street in Shijiazhuang, the Venice Water World Hotel is, for me, far more than just a place to stay. Over the past two years, eight (closer to ten now) visits have instilled in me a unique sense of familiarity – a feeling of stepping not into a hotel, but returning to a familiar and warm home every single time.
My first choice was probably due to its excellent location and the allure of 'Water World,' but what keeps bringing me back is that indescribable 'home' feeling. From the moment I push open the hotel doors, the familiar Baroque-style decor greets my eyes, a faint fragrance permeates the air, and the front desk staff always know my surname, greeting me with a 'Welcome home, Mr./Ms. X,' instantly melting away my travel fatigue.
I absolutely love the hotel's food; it's simply incredible! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 You must try their Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), and the breakfast spread is particularly rich and diverse.
The hotel rooms consistently maintain a reassuring level of cleanliness and comfort. The bedding is just right for a good night's sleep, and the soundproofing is excellent, allowing for peaceful nights even in the bustling city. What touches me even more are the subtle touches of care: the humidifier, eye masks, and earplugs always available in the room are a godsend for someone like me who has specific sleep environment preferences. With each stay, I notice small updates to the room facilities, perhaps a new decorative item or upgraded toiletries. This continuous dedication makes me feel the hotel's relentless pursuit of quality.
And 'Water World' is always a highlight I must experience. After a day of work or sightseeing, soaking in the hotel's bathhouse or swimming a few laps in the heated pool makes all fatigue disappear. The bathing facilities here are well-maintained, the water is clear, the environment is elegant, and the staff are always there when you need them, without being intrusive.
What I find most unforgettable is the hotel's personalized service. I remember one time I accidentally left a coat in my room. After contacting the hotel, they not only kept it safe but also proactively arranged for it to be couriered back to me. This sense of responsibility and thoughtfulness made me feel completely at ease.
Over the past two years and nearly ten stays, the Venice Water World Hotel has witnessed my business trips and also accommodated my leisure time. It has never shown any neglect despite my frequent visits; instead, each time it has surprised me with new delights and consistent warmth. It's not just a hotel; it's more like a 'home away from home' in Shijiazhuang, a sanctuary where I can let my guard down and rest peacefully.
If you're also looking for a hotel that gives you that 'home' feeling, then the Shijiazhuang Venice Water World Hotel is definitely worth a try. Trust me, once you experience the warmth and service here, you'll feel, just like me, that it's your other home in Shijiazhuang.

The hotel has a dedicated parking lot, smart toilets, and a special tea-making area. The bed is very wide, and the room is spacious with high ceilings. It's also conveniently located near attractions and close to Mixue Ice Cream & Tea, Lawson convenience store, Sitiao Baozi, and Taizi Hot Pot. The staff provides excellent and welcoming service.
As always, this established five-star hotel is one of the best in Shijiazhuang. Since it wasn't too crowded during the May Day holiday, the prices didn't increase. When we checked in on May 3rd, there weren't many people. The front desk lady was very friendly and gave us three drink vouchers, which we used up that afternoon (see picture nine). We could get more the next day, so I just grabbed a coffee and a soda to go. I chose to stay at the Intercontinental in Shijiazhuang because reviews mentioned the breakfast was quite good, and it definitely was. We also tried some Banmian noodles, which were decent (that's the last picture). We were on a high floor, so the view from the window was quite open. Oh, and you can get free coffee and cookies next to the check-in counter. As for other facilities, as shown in the pictures, there were no complimentary welcome fruits, and all the drinks in the mini-fridge were chargeable, which is usually free in other hotels. We also went to the swimming pool these past few days. The pool isn't very big, but the water quality was good. On our last day, it was quite busy, probably with local kids taking swimming lessons. The pool water wasn't too cold, but some of the towels had holes, which goes to show the hotel has been around for a while. The hotel's cleanliness was good, and the bottled water provided was free, though there were also some chargeable bottled waters on the table. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Shijiazhuang.

We stayed in the Premier Balcony Seaview King Room and the sea view was really beautiful. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the fresh sea breeze. The weather was perfect, not too cold for mosquitoes and not too hot to feel sweaty. The room was very clean when we checked in.
However, there were occasional sudden whiffs of smoke coming through the vents even though it’s a non-smoking family hotel with signs everywhere. It affected the room quality a bit. We called hotel service and they offered to change our room, but we were too lazy to move so they quickly sent someone to set up an air purifier for us, which was really nice.
The breakfast was excellent with so many options from Western to Chinese cuisine. The only downside was the lack of meat choices; we only saw bacon, pork sausages and the meat in the wonton soup. The gym was great and had everything needed for a proper workout. 💪 The pool was packed with kids in the afternoon so we didn’t use it.
Overall a very comfortable stay with a fantastic sea view. Would recommend! 😊 #ShangriLaQinhuangdao #SeaviewStay

The hotel and the downstairs hot spring are bundled together, making check-in rather cumbersome. You first need to store your shoes at the hot spring to retrieve your wristband, then go up to the third-floor guest room area. No toiletries or towels are provided in the room; it's assumed you shower downstairs. When I asked the third-floor guest room reception, they said there's no shower in the room and you have to go downstairs. The hot spring reception staff said the same thing, adding that the water in the room is quite cold and you can shower downstairs anytime. But have they considered parents with children of the opposite sex? Basically, it's like you play in the hot spring, shower, and then go back to your room to sleep. Overall, it's alright, passable if you can manage.
The hotel's decor is exquisitely designed and grand, with an elegant and comfortable ambiance. Attention to detail is evident everywhere, and the entire place is spotless and tidy, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and the employees are friendly, professional, and efficient. Check-in and check-out processes are smooth, and they're always ready to answer questions patiently and thoroughly, making guests feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable. Both the environment and service are impeccable, offering an excellent experience. It's a top-notch choice for accommodation when traveling, highly recommended!

A truly excellent hotel, located right in the city center.
**Facilities:** This is a very high-end hotel with brand-new facilities. The thick carpets in the hallways feel wonderfully soft underfoot.
**Cleanliness:** The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable. The rooms are spotless, and the hallways, elevators, and even the parking garage are all very clean.
**Environment:** The surrounding area is lively, as it's a central location.
But the absolute standout is the service. We had gone to the arts center for a performance and it ended quite late. Driving back to Beijing would have been too tiring, so we made a last-minute decision to stay overnight. We arrived at the hotel around midnight after dinner. The staff on the ground floor were still incredibly energetic and professional, polite and attentive without being overly enthusiastic. They were a great help in resolving several issues. They truly deserve special commendation.
My only slight reservation is that while the room itself isn't small, the bathroom and shower take up about half the space, making the sleeping area feel a bit cramped.

GGuest UserThis is our third year celebrating Chinese New Year at the Sheraton Guan. Overall, it's pretty good; the room and dining services are excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting in winter: avoid rooms facing south. They get incredibly hot. The hotel's central AC only blows hot air, and with the direct sunlight, the room becomes unbearable for sleeping. To make matters worse, the windows only open a tiny crack – it was truly a struggle!
GGuest UserHad a very satisfying stay! The bed was huge and perfectly comfortable – not too soft, not too firm. I loved that there was a bathtub for soaking, and the toiletries and towels were all of great quality. The room attendant was super friendly and even brought yogurt and snacks upon check-in. Plus, they have a robot that delivers takeout right to your room! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Shi. Thumbs up! 👍
HHaobaishaoI stayed here last winter when I came to soak in the hot springs. I was very satisfied with the private room last time. This time I wanted to go around, so I asked the front desk to help me get a room facing the sea. Wang Zeyu, the front desk, quickly arranged the room after hearing our needs. Thank you! It’s a good experience to walk on the wooden boardwalk by the sea. The water lilies in the park are so beautiful. Especially this week, I went to the vegetation near the seaside (behind the hot springs), where there are many locusts, and it is a good season for the fragrance of locust flowers. There are also tourists and fishing enthusiasts digging on the beach. This time I know how the sandworms were found. It’s always a fresh experience to stay in this hotel. I don’t know what fun and delicious things I will find next time.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were quite polite, and the room's decor felt pretty stylish. The breakfast selection was decent, and the taste was average. The surrounding scenery is quite nice, and it's pleasant to take a stroll outside. The parking lot isn't very large, so it can be tight during peak times, but access is very convenient.
GGary Ong Wei KiatAbsolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round!
Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

AAnonymous UserOn my way to Changchun, I randomly picked a hotel in a central location to rest, and it turned out to be amazing! There are actually very few amenities nearby; it's just this one magnificent 'castle' hotel nestled halfway up a hill, but seeing it was enough to impress me.
The suite was huge, easily one of the top three largest suites I've ever stayed in across the country. All the furnishings were so 'princess-like' – truly a princess's castle! From the design of the lamps to the shape of the bathtub, it truly earned the title 'manor castle.' The front desk lady who checked me out was very polite, and I absolutely loved their body lotion. She even specifically asked housekeeping to find the exact same one for me. I had already gone to the restaurant to eat, and she chased me down there just to tell me which one it was. Breakfast for the suite can be delivered to the room, and it's quite varied.
Now for the downsides: the showerhead in my previous room was broken. And there was a girl at the front desk with allergies who kept sneezing. We understand that, but I think it would be better if she wore a mask when serving customers. Since we arrived on a Monday, it felt like we were the only guests in the entire building, so it was very quiet. We arrived at 9:30 PM, and the hotel doesn't offer late-night snacks. Around 8:30 PM, I contacted the hotel butler hoping to have the hotel restaurant save a few dishes for us, but it turned out the restaurant closed around 8 PM. The bellboy was very young and a bit shy. When I was carrying my things out, he clearly wanted to help and ask if I needed anything, but he seemed to think about it for a long time, scratched his head, and then retreated to the side, haha! 😂
Because of the lush vegetation, the hotel has a good ecosystem and there are even little stray dogs, which are very cute – I personally love them. You'll also see many women dressed as princesses taking photos, and some even taking wedding photos. I'll definitely come back to stay a few more nights and experience it again.

GGuest UserCame here to ski during the Chinese New Year holiday, and Genting is an old favorite of mine. I have to give it a 100-star rating this time! I happened to catch the two windiest days of the ski season, but Genting's gondola, though a bit slower, kept running as usual. Genting's ski resort has the shortest queues, and most of its slopes are south-facing with great visibility. I managed to hit all the advanced runs twice over the two days, starting the new year with full energy and passion. It was fantastic! The hotel was prompt with water delivery, the hotpot wasn't expensive, and the front desk even gave us a late check-out since we had a child with us. All in all, it's the best hotel in Chongli, absolutely loved it!
