A new and polished hotel, Marinabay is everything you need for short stay. With a nice view for some rooms over the Marins, it’s well positioned. Being out of Central Seoul is in a fairly sparse part of the city and for restaurants and bars, you will need a 20-30min taxi into town. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very helpful. For business travelers it’s perfect as each room has a desk. Rooms are larger than average versus downtown hotel. Has a roof top pool and an indoor pool but as it’s February for my visit, I didn’t use either.
It's pretty good and very convenient. There's a CU convenience store on the first floor, and I went there almost every night to buy a bunch of snacks. It's really friendly for business travelers; it's super easy to grab something to eat and drink after finishing work!
This was my first time staying in a room with underfloor heating, and it was a lifesaver given the extreme temperature swings between day and night. The place is still new, and the price was reasonable, so overall it was excellent. The shower takes some getting used to, though.
4 people stay, breakfast 2 people free
Hotel in the forest, lots of places to visit, good to rest ~
I used the sauna and the facilities are clean and good ~
The hostel has to climb the hill, but check in and go out by cart ~
There are many reviews that breakfast is not good.
About 15,000 won for a charging card.
It was good because the taste of rice, soup, side dishes, bread, coffee, cereal, fruits, etc. was good. There are only many kinds at the price of over 30,000 won and it seems to be better than the tasteless ones~
Willing to return
Location: 5/5 stars; This hotel is excellent for anyone attending shows, games, or conferences at KINTEX. Apart from the hotel inside KINTEX itself, this is the closest one. You exit the GTX line, walk through a small commercial area, and the hotel is right there. It takes about five to six minutes to walk from the hotel to KINTEX if you know the way, but if it's your first time, finding your way might take over ten minutes.
Facilities: 5/5 stars; The hotel is divided into East and West wings and has all the necessary facilities and services. Right next to it is a small commercial street with restaurants and three or four convenience stores. Not far away are other commercial areas and a shopping center with an Olive Young and an entire floor of fast-food restaurants. On the back side of the KINTEX convention center, there are also various restaurants popular with locals. Overall, it's very convenient.
Room: 4/5 stars; The room is very spacious, definitely living up to 5-star hotel standards, and the hygiene is good. The mini-bar in the room is complimentary, and it's quiet at night. The downsides are that the single bed is really small, and the room looks quite dated, giving off a 1990s vibe.
I stayed in a 2-bedroom suite for about a week and overall had a very pleasant experience. The suite was spacious and clean, making it comfortable for a longer stay. One thing to note: the bathtub is quite deep, which might be a challenge for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Breakfast: a good mix of Western and Korean options, all well-prepared and tasty. The coffee, in particular, was excellent — probably the best I’ve had at a hotel. Reception staff were polite(mostly... except the one male reception who deline on advice...) If you plan visit downtown in Seoul it might be quite far. Would recommend for families or longer stays, just keep the bathroom design in mind depending on your needs.
Turtle Island Hotel Cielo offers excellent value for money, including location and price.
They also offer free breakfast on weekdays, which is nice.
The rooftop pool is also warm and has a Jacuzzi-like heated pool, making it a great place to spend time with the family!
Recommended for a short outing during the holiday season.
I enjoyed my stay at the property. Front desk was really approachable and attentive to details such as pillow option selected / sharing with me about the shuttle service. The property is connected to the mall and the Soft Tofu Stew restaurant was particularly good. It was packed with people.
We chose this hotel for its convenient location near the children's park. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the plumbing definitely needs an upgrade: both the sink faucet and the showerhead were faulty (leaking). Otherwise, the room was pleasant to stay in. I had booked a room with breakfast, but at the front desk, I was told it wasn't included, which was very strange. I ended up having to pay extra for breakfast. Thankfully, the breakfast was very appetizing and filling. I think I'd choose this hotel again for my next stay.
The scenery was so good. I knew there was nothing nearby. The hotel restaurant closed too early in the evening to taste the meal. I asked to change the pillow cover because it smelled like a cover, but it changed immediately. But the cover laundry is good, and it seemed that the pillow itself smelled. The room toilet was clean and nice.
It was really beautiful when the sunset was falling. I think it's a good place to rest ~

Amazing
AAnonymous UserIf you like „industrial chic“ style, this hotel is for you. Tall rooms, felt very airy. Stayed in 27th floor (top floor) and the view was quite nice.
Besides that; newish 4* hotel with all the perks you get in Korea (no amenities besides soap/conditioner by law), the bed was comfortable, nice small sofa/table, lot of storage space (really liked that), and a great no-frills shower (not a rainshower, just steady temperature and strong pressure)
The pool is also awesome, as it works both as an outdoor version (first day was 27C warm so it was fully open) and second day it was raining at 14C, and the pool was fully indoor. Really well designed, loved to swim in both conditions.
Transportation is convenient, for the cheap metro you have to check the timetables as it drives only about once an hour, but high speed trains are available too and bring you to downtown Seoul in about 15min for not that much more money. Metro is convenient if you go to other locations rather than Seoul city centre.
Direct airport limousine bus available too, for 16k Won. If you are 3 people or more, can be cheaper to hire a taxi/van.
Last but not least, there are a lot of restaurants just around the hotel, and the whole area is more lively than what you might think. From breakfast till 3am late night food/drinks, there is everything.
So overall, I really liked the place and will stay again here
GGuest User1. The cleanliness was excellent; housekeeping was prompt and thorough, leaving every corner neat and tidy.
2. The hotel offers a full range of facilities, including a well-equipped restaurant and gym, and the staff provides meticulous service, making guests feel very comfortable.
3. This hotel really stands out within a few kilometers of its surroundings. Its elevated position offers exceptionally broad views.
GGuest UserFormer Australia soldiers of 3 RAR travelled to Kapyong, to commemorate the Battle of Kapyong 24 April 1951 (in 2025). This brilliant accommodation is located a 2 min stroll over the Gyeonggi-do river to the Australia & NZ memorial, where a friendly well equipped convenience store sits below it. The Host property was spotless, as picture online and well maintained. The owner aims to be non invasive (monitoring from Wi-Fi cameras on the outside of the property) and to protect it. He saw our struggles attempting to light fire on a cold night and quickly drove down to assist :). The lovely store holder closed up shop (when we tried to order food) to take us down to his local family restaurant (for authentic Korean food, which to tried to offer for free and we persistently and politely declined, fantastic local hospitality towards us and in general. The host then drove us back into the Gapeyoung Train station when we tried to order a Taxi. Fantastic experience and would stay here again and highly recommend it.
The lovely family run cafe in town: 886-5 Mokdong-ri, Buk-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea

6670TRAVELFor a last minute booking the hotel was very accommodating. I was a bit skeptical with the first impression of the lobby giving a very motel vibe, as I went to my floor I was quite surprised as the look of the hallway was quite different than what I expected. Entering my room, I felt a very cozy and welcoming feeling (keep in mind). I do live in an apartment in another city in South Korea so I am used to the layouts of Korea apartments and I can say that the room was more of a studio type room with furniture than a hotel which for makes it more homey. Entering the room, they already provide indoor slippers. The layout with table and chairs and sink (what used to be a cooking area) gives it the studio apartment feeling. Very spacious and open and the TV (huge) is bigger than what most 5 star elegant hotels have. The bidet is on point and shower is a modern concept. They also provide a transformer for those who require or have electronics that require 110v charge.

GGuest UserExcellent service and clean room
We rented a car, so it was pretty convenient. However, location would be a bit odd for travelling.
Highly recommend this hotel for families.
LLoveSarangbyDolores (YouTube)Wow...the pension was sooo very lovely, cozy, BIG, clean, inexpensive and was stocked with EVERYTHING! (It looked exactly like the pictures on their site.) The view was spectacular, as well! It was a short, 5-minute walk from The Garden of Morning Calm and was around the corner from a 7-Eleven, so it was sooo very convenient! The host seemed very sweet, as well, although my Korean friend is the one who spoke with him. I will definitely stay there, once again, in the near future!
I pray God blesses your business for many years to come! Thank you, for your dedication in making us feel at ”home”! :)
A fan from beautiful and sunny California, presently living in Seoul!
