Great spot to catch the game! The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming. I noticed they have a good selection of fresh, crisp salads on the menu, which was a nice surprise for a pub. The ingredients looked really vibrant. I'll be back for that.

Had their three-course lunch. Portions were decent for the price, honestly. Each dish was well-seasoned, cooked just right. Quality is up there with some Michelin spots I've tried.

The set lunch is a solid deal. The crispy whitebait starter was a nice little bite. The dining room itself is really pleasant – high ceilings, lots of light, and the chairs are actually comfortable for a longer sit.

The staff are always so friendly and helpful, especially with food allergies. Even when it's packed, they keep things running smoothly.

Been coming here for years now. The food's always been solid, never had a bad meal. That cozy pub feel is exactly why I keep coming back. It's just a reliable spot.

Came back for a second visit, which says it all really. The service is just so friendly and attentive, never felt rushed. The booths are comfortable too, makes for a relaxed meal.

Loved the rustic decor here. Felt like stepping back in time, totally matched Chester’s vibe. Really set the mood for dinner.

The staff are super friendly and really helpful when you're trying to pick from their huge menu.

Lovely restaurant, great choice of drinks and chef couldn't be more helpful. Food was very good quality. Really enjoyed it! Just a little further out but only 5mins walk.

Great visit, went with a good friend and experienced a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Food was hot, refilled frequently and was varied. All interactions with Staff were positive. Really enjoyed the visit

Been to several places recently for lunch, non have been particularly good ,had a carvery last week in Ellesmere Port. I don't know how they had the nerve to serve it. I had been to the Toby Inn many years ago,and it was always excellent,so suggested we try it this week . It was absolutely marvellous. Could not fault it at all. We will be back next week for certain.Would definitely recommend to anyone.Excellent food, good service, sensibly priced.

The Forge offers an incredible dining experience with fantastic food and attentive service. The Rib Eye Steak was cooked to perfection, making it one of the best steaks I've had in a long time!

Been here a few times now. The servers really know their stuff. Asked about the wine pairing for the lamb, got a detailed answer that actually made sense. Food was good, as usual.

Been a regular for years. The open kitchen is a nice touch, you can see everything's fresh. The atmosphere is cozy, feels like a little piece of Istanbul. Had a nice Turkish red with the lamb, worked really well. A solid spot.

The sourdough pizza with tuna and olives was nice, the crust from the clay oven was spot on. But for the price, I did expect a slightly bigger portion. It was filling for one, just about.

Been back a few times now. The 50% off food and drink deal they run sometimes is a proper find. Makes it a nice spot for a casual evening out.

Popped in for ice cream to avoid the crazy queues down the road. The salted caramel was so good! The rustic vibe is really cute, perfect for a casual catch-up with friends. Just a heads up, it got a bit busy inside so we ended up chatting outside on the bench. Still, a nice little spot.

Great for catching up with friends, and they were happy to move our table.

Came in just before closing for a takeaway pizza. Staff were really nice, even gave my kid a colouring sheet while we waited.

George was a standout. Quick to get us seated, checked in at the right times. Service was efficient and friendly without being overbearing. Made the whole visit smooth.

Perfect for a quick lunch. Grabbed a burger and chips, food came out fast. Good spot to catch the game with all the screens. Staff were friendly and efficient. Just what I needed on a busy day.

The sandwiches are always so well-made here. Love the generous fillings, really tasty. It's my go-to for a quick, reliable bite.

Popped in for a Sunday lunch. The sharing board with a glass of red was just right for a lazy afternoon. Staff were really nice. Might stop by again if I'm back in Chester.

Solid pierogi spot. The mixed platter is a sensible choice to try the varieties. The owner is approachable and checks on tables. Good for a straightforward meal near the station.

The pizzas are a bit on the pricey side for one person, I'll admit. But the crust is always spot-on and the toppings are generous. I always leave feeling properly full.

Award-winning for a reason! The dough is incredible, and the toppings are so fresh. Perfect for a casual catch-up with friends.

Proper pub, great beer selection. The English bitter was a real treat. Sat by the window with a pint, the view of the river was just lovely. Exactly what I was after.

Got a table for five on short notice. The casual setup makes it feel relaxed and homely. Food was spot on, staff were friendly and efficient. Good for a straightforward meal with colleagues.

The popcorn they give you when you sit down is a nice touch. The American-style decor is fun and well done. The burger was pretty good, solid and juicy. It was a bit on the pricey side for what it was, but overall a decent meal.
