Free lentil soup and flatbread was a nice start. Shawarma itself was solid. Will try the biryani rice next visit.

Got lucky with a table on a Friday, only waited 5 mins. The queue stayed long all night though. Four pasta dishes and drinks came to just over £80. Food was fresh and tasty. Enjoyed watching the pizzas being made in the open kitchen.

First time trying their Sunday roast. The beef was so tender, and the crispy kale on top was a nice surprise. Portions are huge for what you pay. Will be back for that beef!

Popped in for a real ale. The bar staff really know their beers, helped me pick one. Lovely spot, good range of cask ales.

Free parking is a huge plus. The walk into Chester along the river is pleasant and easy. It meant we could relax and not worry about the car, which made the whole outing feel much more straightforward.

Nice pub in Chester. The bar staff were really friendly, even though it was our first time in. That kind of welcome is nice. Had the steak and ale pie, proper comfort food.

The lamb shank was so tender it just fell off the bone. Really fresh, full of flavour. The rice was spot on too, not dry at all. A solid meal.

Great little pub. The pork scratchings were a treat, and the staff were happy to suggest a local ale that went perfectly with them.

The homemade garlic and herb sauce is so good, I'd come back just for that.

This place is in the CAMRA guide for a reason. The real ale selection is decent, and the main room is a good size. Went for an early dinner, food starts at 4pm. It's a reliable spot for a proper pint, no fuss.

Popped in for a coffee and grabbed a cinnamon swirl. It was still warm, flaky on the outside. That's the kind of thing that makes a random Tuesday better. The croissant looked great too, might try that next time.

The team here is always so lovely, even when the drive-thru is packed. They're quick and apologise if there's a bit of a wait, which is nice when you're grabbing food with mates. Makes the whole thing feel easy.

Been coming here for years. The stone vaults in the crypt never get old – feels like you've slipped back in time the moment you walk in. Just the right spot for a quiet pint.

The manager was so welcoming, really made us feel at home. Food was delicious, staff were all friendly. Just a nice, relaxed evening.

Been coming here for years, and I always grab a few of their local brews to go. Picked up a three-pack of the house beers last week. Each one had its own clear, crisp taste. A solid little extra.

As a non-vegan, the full English breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The house-made vegan sausage paired nicely with a morning coffee.

They called to check on a possible mix-up with our order. Really nice touch that shows they care.

Russ and James were great, really professional. I liked the snacks, they were fresh and well-presented. The drinks were nice too.

The honey halloumi with avocado was a total win for me. So creamy and just the right amount of salty-sweet. The porridge with blueberries was nice too, fresh and simple. I’d go back just for that halloumi plate!

The double stack burger was my pick, and it definitely hit the spot. The patties were juicy, and the portion of chips on the side was massive – I couldn't finish them all! Solid choice for a casual bite.

The house wine is huge and so good for the price! Perfect for sharing with friends over a long chat. Food was great too.

Been coming here for years, and the softshell crab burger is the reason. It's always fresh, cooked just right. Never had a bad one. That consistency keeps me coming back.

The ribs were fantastic, and the wine list had some really interesting options to pair with them. Great value banquet.

The honey and chilli wings were really fresh and tasty. Got the meal for two and it was a generous amount of food.
