Been coming here for years. The staff are always friendly and helpful, which is why I keep coming back.

Stumbled upon this old pub upstairs. The low beams and stained glass windows give it such a cosy, lived-in feel. A proper traditional spot, just what I was hoping for.

Singapore vermicelli is solid. Portions are huge, always packed full. Price is fair. Got it for a quick lunch, no complaints.

Seafood linguine was spot on. Big portion, got it to go. Quick service, didn't have to wait long at all. Perfect for a quick lunch.

The Kwak beer in its proper glass is a treat, but it's a bit pricey. The shoe deposit thing is quirky! The hummus platter was solid. You're paying for the branded glassware and the experience, I suppose.

Been coming here for years, and their mixed kebab is always spot on. Good portion, and they're happy to swap the naan for chips.

The margarita here is a standout. Really good balance of tequila and lime, not too sweet. Just a solid, classic version done right. One of the better ones I've had around Chester.

Lovely pub, and the beer garden is a real gem on a sunny day. The atmosphere is always lively, which is nice. Just a heads up, it can get quite crowded, so maybe aim for an off-peak time if you prefer a quieter spot.

Been coming here for years for the Sunday roast. The beef is always cooked just right, not dry at all. Comes with all the usual bits - Yorkshire pudding, roasties, the lot. Good portion for the price. It's my regular spot.

The green curry here is just right, not too spicy. It's the kind of reliable dish that keeps me coming back.

Sandwiches are fresh and tasty. The chilli jam pork pies are a good addition. Quick bite sorted.

Nice traditional pub, very cosy inside. The beer garden is a real bonus, especially on a sunny day. Had a pint there after a long walk, it was just what I needed. The staff were friendly and the whole place has a relaxed feel.

The fish and chips were spot on. The fish was flaky and the batter crisp, not greasy at all. Portions are huge – the small chips could easily feed two. A solid choice for a classic.

A reliable local spot. I appreciate that they clearly mark which dishes are gluten-free on the menu. The grilled salmon I had was cooked just right, and the seasonal vegetables tasted genuinely fresh. It’s nice to see a pub offering thoughtful options.

The mixed kebab was a bit disappointing. The meat was quite bland and the texture was a little off. I was hoping for more flavour.

The owner was so lovely on our quiet Sunday lunch. Food was different and delicious, service spot on. A really nice, relaxed meal.

Great vibe with the jukebox. The house red was a solid match for the whole evening.

Service was the standout. Staff really knew their gins, explained everything without rushing. Felt looked after.

Love the vibe here, especially on a Friday night. Their cocktail list is huge - I tried the espresso martini and it was spot on. Gets absolutely packed though, you might be waiting a bit for a table.

Freya and the team are so lovely. They remembered my usual order and even suggested a new wine pairing. Just makes you feel looked after, you know?
