Romantic Hotels in Guizhou, China

Staying at the Guofeng Hotel in Guiyang Huaguoyuan was an absolutely fantastic experience! The tatami king room had a wonderful traditional Chinese vibe, and the room itself was clean, tidy, and elegantly detailed. The location is super convenient, right near a shopping center, making it easy to shop and dine. The service was also very thoughtful; the front desk was responsive, and the environment was quiet and comfortable. It completely exceeded my expectations. It's perfect for both couples and solo travelers. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Guiyang!

This five-diamond hotel, listed on Ctrip's hotel ranking and one of the top hotels in Tongren, turned out to be incredibly disappointing! First, let's talk about the positives: the overall environment was indeed good. We stayed in the garden view building, and it offered great photo opportunities outside. The room facilities and equipment were fine, and there was plenty of hot water. However, there were just too many downsides! 1. When we booked, our first choice was a twin room. Since only the Suzhou-style garden twin room was available that day, we booked it. Upon arriving in Tongren, we took a taxi following the navigation, only to find a long flight of stairs at the hotel entrance with no bellhop in sight. It was hot, and we had two suitcases. I went up to call for help, and there was only one person at the front desk who said I had to wait. It was a peak season during a short holiday, so why weren't enough staff arranged? Did it seem like the occupancy rate was very low?! Okay, after struggling to carry our two suitcases up, suddenly there were two people at the front desk... Then the front desk staff started scanning our IDs. It turned out our Suzhou-style garden room was in a different area (Hilton Garden Inn)! Why wasn't this marked on the Ctrip homepage??? If it had been, I wouldn't have gone to the wrong place!! Upon arriving at the Hilton Garden Inn, they scanned our IDs again. Do we really need to scan them twice? 2. Consequently, the takeout we ordered in advance was delivered to the Fengqi front desk. They said they would send it to the Garden Inn. After waiting for over half an hour with no delivery, I called again to inquire. They said there was no one at the front desk, so I had to go down and get it myself. When I got there, I saw three people at the front desk. So, this is what 'no one at the front desk' means?? They then claimed the two other staff members had just returned. Yes, I must have such 'good' luck? 3. The booking included breakfast, Hanfu experience, and a boat tour discount, but none of this was mentioned during check-in. I had to ask about everything. Where was your service? 4. The handheld shower in the room was broken. Don't your engineering staff conduct regular room inspections? Is the MOD duty manager too idle? As a resort-style hotel with clear peak and off-peak seasons, are you just playing around by not conducting room inspections and repairs during the off-peak season? Does Hilton know that one of its mid-range hotels offers this kind of service? The first impression I got in Tongren was extremely bad! It ruined my entire mood for the trip! I am truly speechless!!!

Coming from the north, we were absolutely blown away by the service at this hotel! They offer afternoon tea daily and a late-night snack, plus thoughtful little extras like eye masks and earplugs. Since Guizhou is often rainy, they even provide umbrellas for guests. The room has a mini-fridge that's restocked daily with water and drinks, and it's kept sparkling clean. Every day, they proactively ask if we'd like our bedding changed. The smart controls in the room are powered by Xiao Du, and the bathroom has a great wet/dry separation. After a long day of sightseeing, it's lovely to sit by the window, relax, and have some snacks and drinks. The hotel's design is also very artistic. Located in the Huaguoyuan community, it's super convenient for ordering food delivery. We were just transiting through Guiyang, and it was close to our travel connections too. All in all, we had a fantastic stay!

I chose this place purely for convenience and its affordability, offering great value for money. The room layout was good, and it was only about 50 meters from the alleyway, very close to the main road, making it easy to get around. The front desk lady downstairs was very enthusiastic and helpful. A pleasant experience overall.

The hotel has a great atmosphere and a unique design, themed around the Miao and Dong ethnic groups, with lots of greenery too! ☀️ The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The smart assistant, Xiaodu, is convenient to use, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. Breakfast is delicious, especially the coffee, and they offer various specialty noodles. It's definitely worth recommending! 🎆 There's even a dedicated place in the room to dry wet clothes, which is a nice touch. It's a hotel with real quality.

This was a last-minute addition to our itinerary & it turned out to be the best accom of the trip. Perfect location in the heart of the ancient town with the balcony overlooking 观圣桥. Absolutely beautiful. Room was big & beautifully decorated. The bathtub was also excellent. Lots of food & places to explore nearby. It was just opposite the hill 石屏山 where we climbed for a great view of the town. We also went up 青龙洞 & got some stunning shots of the buildings.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Xisu Laichen Hotel. My stay was exceptional, and it definitely deserves a full five-star rating. The hotel's cleanliness is incredibly thorough; the entire place was spotless, every corner meticulously tidied, with no dust or odd smells whatsoever. The bed linens were changed promptly, clean and neat, making the overall environment very comfortable and reassuring to stay in. The most delightful surprise was the pillows in the room – they were perfectly soft and incredibly comfortable. The room also thoughtfully provided memory foam pillows that contoured to my neck, so my neck didn't ache at all when lying down. These little details were truly heartwarming. I have to say, hotels nowadays are really stepping up their game, and it's rare to find one that pays so much attention to such thoughtful details. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, the environment quiet and peaceful, which made for a fantastic living experience. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and handled both check-in and check-out quickly and efficiently. Whether for a vacation or a short stay, this hotel is an excellent choice with great value for money, far exceeding my expectations. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

The hotel's ambiance is excellent, and the front desk service was superb. The location is incredibly convenient for getting around. The room boasts a large, crystal-clear projector. It's also very close to major attractions like Jiaxiu Tower, Qingyun Market, the Fountain, and the White House. Plus, there's a fantastic array of local snacks in the vicinity. Highly recommended!

The B&B has an excellent location with fantastic views from the room. The overall decor creates a very peaceful and serene atmosphere. The room was clean, just as I expected. The service was also very thoughtful; a driver specifically picked us up from the high-speed rail station, and upon arrival, someone helped carry our luggage upstairs to the room. I especially loved their complimentary coffee, black tea, and delicious, generous breakfast. It was a wonderful B&B experience, and if I ever get the chance to visit Dong Village again, I would definitely choose to stay here!

Coming to this Dong village for Chinese New Year, I didn't even consider other places and chose this one without hesitation. It really didn't disappoint; it was absolutely stunning. Every evening there was a performance of the Dong Grand Song. Since we checked in on New Year's Eve, the hotel even arranged a New Year's Eve dinner and had handmade dumplings. For someone from the North, the dumplings might not be the absolute best, but being able to eat handmade dumplings in a southern village on New Year's Eve really showed the owner's thoughtful attention to detail.
