Romantic Hotels in Liaoning, China

The hotel's online advertising built up too much anticipation, leading to a significant gap between expectation and reality. I arrived at 10:30 PM, and the lobby was completely dark. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but the shower drainage was poor; water flowed from the shower enclosure directly into the toilet area. Since it was late and I was only staying one night, I didn't bother calling for service. The vanity area was also uncomfortably close to the bed with no privacy screen. As for the hot spring area, the water activities were fun and my child enjoyed them. However, the scrubbing area and lounge were very mediocre. If you're looking for a good scrubbing experience, I'd advise against it. There wasn't even any water available to drink in the scrubbing area. I finally found some hot water in the main hall, but the air conditioning wasn't sufficient, so I was constantly sweating. Free drinking water wasn't readily available everywhere. The dinner voucher from Ctrip was useless since I arrived so late. When I asked if I could use it the next day, I was told no, it was only valid for the same day – what's the point of giving it then? Overall, the indoor areas felt dim and disorganized, while the outdoor areas were clean, tidy, and interesting.

Rooms here are really in high demand; it was impossible to extend my stay. Aside from a long wait during check-in, everything else was fantastic: the fifth-floor garden is charming both day and night, and the room's crystal chandeliers and carved wall decorations exude the luxury of an economic boom period. Even the chairs are incredibly heavy – they really spared no expense with the materials! However, the curtain on one of the windows in my room was broken and wouldn't close properly, letting in a lot of light as soon as it got bright outside. Other than that, everything was perfect!

The hotel room was very clean, and the air conditioning and fresh air system were particularly comfortable. The breakfast had a great variety and high quality, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Michael, the Lobby Manager! We had a packed schedule in the afternoon and didn't have time to go back to the hotel to pick up our stored luggage. Michael proactively helped us by coordinating with our driver to have the luggage delivered directly to the airport. This saved us valuable time and ensured we made our return journey smoothly. We are very satisfied with all the hotel's services! We will definitely choose Shangri-La again for our next trip!

Cleanliness: terrible. Didnt notice the urine stain around the toilet bowl until second day. Informed the counter but can only clean the next day. Didnt dare to use the toilet for the entire 4 days. Beside the urine stained toilet, the staff didnt bother to put my pillows in place. Tea bags wasnt refilled until i feedback to the counter. Very slipshod cleaning work. Counter service: Excellent. Helped me contact rider when my parcel went missing. Bathroom: would prefer if theres hook inside the bathroom. Feels very cold coming out after shower to retrieve towes. Room: No soundproof at all. Wont recommend if you are a light sleeper. Lighting is good and bright.

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal😭 The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

Facilities: A bit old-fashioned. Cleanliness: Very good. Environment: Loved it, a perfect family-friendly hotel. Service: Good. The hotel's own activities are suitable for young children. It's very close to the beach, so getting to the sand is super convenient. My kids' favorite activity every day was walking to the beach. After they got tired of playing, we'd head back to rest, and from our room, we could hear the sound of the waves. It truly felt like 'facing the sea, with spring blossoms all around'.

We brought our child to Dalian this time, and staying at the Xinghai Holiday Hotel was definitely the right choice! The hotel's location is superb, with the Cross-Sea Bridge and Xinghai Square right outside our window. My child would eagerly press their face against the window every morning to watch the sea. What truly touched us was the duty manager, Manager Ning. Upon learning we were traveling with our 7-year-old son, Manager Ning specially upgraded us to a higher-floor sea-view room, offering an even more expansive view. They even thoughtfully provided children's toothbrushes and slippers. Throughout our stay, Manager Ning would always crouch down to chat with my child whenever we met, asking if they were having fun – truly approachable and friendly. The hotel was clean, and the staff were all very welcoming. This experience made our whole family feel warm and cared for. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Dalian! This stay was absolutely perfect! I initially booked for one night just to try it out, but after that first night, I extended my stay for three more. The hotel's location is excellent, right in Dalian's city center with convenient transportation. It's about a 10-minute walk from the train station following the navigation, but it's not directly facing the station square, so the environment is quite pleasant. The hotel is surrounded by a vibrant commercial district and dining options, with many large shopping malls. Tianjin Street is just a few dozen meters away, and the Lantern Festival celebrations there were so lively during the Chinese New Year. Zhongshan Square is less than a 10-minute walk away. On my first night, I couldn't wait to see Zhongshan Square lit up at dusk – it was freezing in winter, so there weren't many people on the large square, but the light show was incredibly beautiful. Russian Street is also within walking distance. For Dongguan Street and Xi'an Street, they're not far from the hotel, and you can easily get there by taking an old tram. In short, it's convenient to get anywhere from here. Hotel service quality: The main reception is on the 16th floor. The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and very friendly. Check-in was quick, and they even upgraded my room – wonderful! I especially want to thank Mr. Wang Tao; he answered all my questions with great patience. It was quite a coincidence that he was the one who assisted me with both check-in and check-out. The hotel is bright and clean, very tasteful, and fully equipped with comfortable bedding and excellent hygiene. The dining options are diverse. I particularly recommend their free laundry service. This hotel is definitely worth recommending to friends visiting Dalian.

The overall stay exceeded our expectations! The environment was quiet and elegant, and the garden-style hot spring area was meticulously maintained. The hot spring water was natural and genuine, warm and soothing. After a soak, I felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue from my journey vanished. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the private hot spring tub offered great privacy, which my child absolutely loved. The staff were warm, polite, and provided attentive and thoughtful service. The facilities were comprehensive. This place is perfect for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

The hotel is conveniently located next to Wanda Plaza, just a 100-meter walk to Dandong Old Street. Its location is excellent. As an established five-star hotel, the rooms are spacious and modern. The breakfast is also good, offering some local specialties. There's a highly recommended noodle shop called 'Yi Wan Hao Mian' just 50 meters across the street.
