Location is very good just a few min walk from Nagoya station. Property feels really new and everything is in great condition. Room is on the small side even for Japanese standards but also more modern, plus for great views. Well cleaned, no noise issues and nothing to complain about. Good breakfast also with an a la carte option and some buffet dishes. Staff was great throughout the stay. All in all great stay in a great place and will definitely consider this place next time.

Sanco Inn Nagoya
I recently stayed at Sanco Inn Nagoya, and overall it was a very pleasant experience, especially for a short trip.
👍 Pros
Excellent Location
The hotel’s location is one of its biggest advantages. It’s very close to Nagoya Station, which makes it extremely convenient for transportation, whether you’re arriving by Shinkansen or exploring the city. Getting around was easy and stress-free.
Plenty of Restaurants Nearby
There are many restaurants within walking distance, offering a wide range of options—from local Japanese cuisine to international food. It was nice to have so many dining choices just steps away from the hotel.
Convenience Store Nearby
There’s also a mini shop (convenience store) close to the hotel, which was very handy. We could easily grab snacks, drinks, or small essentials anytime.
Good Breakfast
The breakfast was surprisingly good. There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore.
👎 Cons
Small Room Size
The only downside was that the room was quite small. However, this is quite common in Japan. For us, it wasn’t a big issue since we mainly used the room just to sleep at night.
⭐ Overall
If you’re looking for a clean, convenient, and well-located hotel near Nagoya Station, Sanco Inn Nagoya is a great choice. It’s especially suitable for short stays or travelers who prioritize location and practicality over room size. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The Nikko Style Nagoya is a truly wonderful hotel. The moment you walk into the lobby feels modern, warm and cosy. It is not your typical hotel in Japan. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. The staff at the reception were very helpful and spoke good English.
The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards, comfortable and clean, although the bed is a little too firm for me.
The buffet breakfast has a good variety, with plenty of local specialties. There is a choice of main course and I highly recommend the Japanese fish option. My only negative comment is that my used plates were not cleared quickly enough, despite the waiter walking past my table a couple of times.
The location is about 12 minutes away on foot from Nagoya Stain and 20 minutes on foot from the Sakae shopping area, but there are plenty of interesting small restaurants close by.
The price I paid was reasonable for the product and service offered. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is located in the 榮商圈, close to many delicious food options . However, it is about a 15-minute walk from train stations, which can be quite challenging when carrying luggage. The rooms, like many other Japanese hotels, are relatively small. The breakfast was tasty, offering three choices: Japanese, Chinese, and sandwiches. The last day since I had an early flight, I hoped the hotel could arrange a take-away breakfast, but unfortunately, they couldn't as the restaurant only opens at 7 AM.

The hotel's location is good, right in the center of Rong. However, the room size is quite small, and the lighting is very dim. The room design feels a bit overly complex and impractical, and the mini-fridge is ridiculously tiny. The hotel corridors and elevators are predominantly dark-toned, making them feel very gloomy. The biggest flaw is that the hotel starts from the 24th floor upwards, requiring a transfer to another elevator on the 24th floor. During peak hours in the evening, there's a long queue for the elevators, which would make descending very difficult in an emergency. The front desk staff also aren't as welcoming as in other hotels; sometimes they don't even greet guests passing by. I won't be staying here again.

This was my first time staying at this hotel in Nagoya, and I have to admit, the room was really small, even for one person it felt cramped. Luckily, the hotel's location is excellent, right in the business district with Mitsukoshi and Matsuzakaya department stores nearby, which is super convenient for shopping. The hotel breakfast was decent, but the famed unagi don (eel rice bowl) never made an appearance. Also, when I went for breakfast on the second floor in the morning, there was no one at the restaurant entrance. I just stood there with my meal ticket, feeling a bit silly. After waiting for a while, I couldn't hold back and said, ”Is anyone here?” That's when a male staff member, who I believe was Southeast Asian, peeked out from a room next to the reception desk. He only stood up after seeing the meal ticket in my hand, and then I was finally able to enter the restaurant. I hope the hotel strengthens its staff's service awareness, especially the training for foreign employees. Only then can they attract more guests amidst fierce market competition.

The room is spacious and well equipped. It's a bit far from Nagoya station and not many buses around the hotel. It's a bit inconvenient. There's shuttle bus available in the morning on weekdays. Longer service time on weekends. Maybe the hotel is busy, the lounge staff wasn't too friendly. I have short hair but I found a long hair on my bed under the blanket. The bedsheet has some black colour fabric fibers but I wore light colour pajamas.

Every time I come to Nagoya, I stay at this hotel. I love it! It's very close to the JR station, there's a convenience store downstairs, and the room has a huge floor-to-ceiling window! The view is absolutely amazing!

This was my second stay at the Meitetsu Grand Hotel, and it's incredibly convenient for traveling from Takayama to Nagoya. I arrived at the Meitetsu BC bus station in Nagoya via highway bus, which is located on the 3rd floor of the Meitetsu Building. The hotel's front desk is on the 11th floor of the same building, so it's practically zero distance! However, the shopping mall in the Meitetsu Building closed in March this year. I heard that this building, which has been operating for seventy years, is going to be redeveloped. I hope the renovated Meitetsu Building will be just as convenient! Currently, the Meitetsu bus still operates from the 3rd floor. To get to the unagi (eel) restaurant, [Sumiyaki Unafuji Shirakabe Bettei], which was recommended by Michelin, you can take the elevator down to the 3rd floor for transportation. My room was on the 15th floor, and I enjoyed the view from the window every morning and evening during my three-night stay. I forgot to take night photos, but it was beautiful! The hotel's front desk staff were excellent and very accommodating. This time, there was even a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, who provided a lot of help to us Chinese-speaking guests.
The hotel is located in a relatively remote area, so it might be a bit difficult to carry luggage if you're not driving. However, it offers a high level of privacy, and the rooms are spacious and provide toiletries and skincare products. Only smoking rooms are available, but there is an air purifier in each room.
