The hotel is very strategic for taking the bus in Macau. You only need to prepare small change of 6 Mop per ride. From the hotel, you can go to the ruins of St. Paul, it's also close, it takes about 15 minutes to walk. If you want to go to the HKG Macau border, you can take bus no. 101 (from the hotel, exit n, turn right, then see the traffic lights, cross the road and see bus stop 101). If you want to go to venetian exit the hotel, turn left and take the bus.
Location: Conveniently located near the bus stop, very close to St. Paul's Ruins, making it easy to dine, shop, and get around.
View: I booked the Starlight Suite, which had a large window. It was wonderfully warm with sunlight during the day, and the night view was stunning.
Facilities: The room had a sofa, wardrobe, and dining table. The facilities were new, simple, elegant, and high-quality. The branded mattress was also very comfortable to sleep on. Free access to the gym and pool offered double the enjoyment for the price.
Cleanliness: The private bathroom was well-designed with a dry and wet separation. The toilet, bathtub, shower, and bedding were all clean and tidy.
Breakfast: A wide variety of dishes were available, and the restaurant offered pleasant views from its windows.
When I checked in, the room wasn't ready, and by the time I came back at night, they said there were no rooms available! Luckily, the hotel upgraded us to the presidential suite for free?! What a pleasant surprise!
**Environment:** The hotel is quite close to the Ruins of St. Paul's, surrounded by old buildings, overlooking Zhuhai across the sea. The overall architecture has a sense of history.
**Service:** The staff's attitude was excellent. We were queuing for them to call a taxi for us, but no cabs were coming. They asked about our next plans and then directly ran to the roadside to hail a car for us.
**Hygiene:** The room's cleanliness was definitely up to par.
**Facilities:** The room was super spacious, with every functional area imaginable: a living room, dining room, kitchen, home theater, sauna, massage bed, and a huge bathtub – absolutely amazing!
Honestly, I loved it.
Pros: It was a pretty good price for the quality, very conveniently located next to the Macau Outer Harbour (10 minutes away of walking). You can take free buses from the harbour to all the big casinos and walking into the city centre is really easy. There are a few eateries in the area and while people might not speak English they all use translation apps. The hotel staff was very helpful and personable, they let me store my luggage while I visited and someone helped carry by big rucksack all the way to the room. The bed was SO comfy. AC worked well and the bathroom had lots of amenities (brush & toothpaste, hair cap, cotton pads and cotton buds, comb, Occitane lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel). Big TV, lots of storage space.
Cons: If I had to be picky, I’d say the view on the balcony wasn’t great. It was facing the walkway on the right of the building towards some apartment complex in the distance, that looked a bit sad. But I wasn’t there to stare out the window, hahaha.
This is my 3rd stay at W Hotel Macau and this time was for my wedding preperation. The 2nd time we stayed here was when we got engaged so now W Hotel is our go to for special occasions.
I booked this room at the very last minute and the room type I wanted was no longer available in the Marriott app hence I called the Reservations team. Agent Angel was very patient in helping me book and confirm my room requirements even if it was already past 18:30. I requested for a room ending in 20 as my priority was the view and when I checked in the next day, the team were able to meet my requirements and at the same time upgrade me. Front Office Agent Brian was very kind during the check-in process and the whole process was smooth. Since the room type I wanted was not available in the Marriott App, I booked via Trip.com. I do hope in the future, even if booked via third party, there is still a way to use my Marriott membership so the points are not wasted.
We ate twice at Hakwer Hawker for breakfast and the staff who seated us were nice. Food selection and taste were good. Overall service was good. IRD also came into our room to give us champagne and chocolate strawberries as a welcome gift.
On the night of my wedding, I was waiting for our car at the lobby and one of the FO agents noticed me and approached me if I needed anything or a glass of water. My experience this time was a lot better compared to my previous stay. I also appreciate that everytime we stayed, we are offered a turndown service (which is not offered to us all the time when we stayed at other 5-star hotels in Macau).
Overall, I'm really happy with my stay at W Hotel Macau.
I booked a two bedroom hotel for my baby's birthday, it was just a simple celebration, I just invited a few friends, the room was spacious, beautiful and clean. There is a small living room for guests. There is also a bus stop near the hotel and a convenience store in the lobby, but the prices are just higher than the supermarkets outside, so if I were you, you should bring some snacks, drinks and food when you go there..
The decor is very artistic, and the service is excellent. Downstairs is very convenient for buses and taxis. The Momokawa restaurant downstairs also has delicious food. The rooftop is indeed very chill. Highly recommend!
Overall, my stay at the Pousada de Sao Tiago in Macau was quite good. The hotel's setting is very unique, built into a hillside with a rich historical atmosphere. The terrace offers great views of the river and city skyline, providing a quiet and relaxing, resort-like feel. Both the architecture and the courtyard have a strong Portuguese influence, making for excellent photo opportunities.
On the first night, we did encounter an unexpected issue: a leaking ceiling in our room caused a power outage. However, the front desk and maintenance team responded incredibly quickly. Staff arrived promptly to address the problem, maintaining a professional and patient demeanor throughout. Although it was late and we were quite tired, the entire resolution process was handled smoothly and efficiently.
The next morning, the hotel manager personally apologized and arranged for us to change rooms, also offering a complimentary afternoon tea set as compensation. This demonstrated the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. Our subsequent stay proceeded without any further issues.
Overall, despite the unforeseen incident, the hotel team's service attitude and problem-solving efficiency were commendable. The staff were all very competent. If you appreciate quiet, historic, and less-mainstream hotels, this place is definitely worth considering.
An absolutely outstanding hotel experience. If you are visiting Macau, staying in Taipa is essential, and this property elevates that experience to another level. The uninterrupted panoramic views were truly breathtaking, creating a sense of luxury and serenity throughout our stay.
The room featured state-of-the-art technology, far exceeding the standards of most hotels, and every detail felt thoughtfully designed.
Without question, this has been one of the most impressive and memorable hotel stays I have ever experienced.
The connecting room was perfect for our family of three adults, and having two bathrooms was super convenient.
**Amenities:** All the disposable toiletries were well-stocked. Just a heads-up, the mini-bar water is chargeable, and there's a sign indicating that.
**Cleanliness:** Spotless! It felt like the first day we checked in, every single day.
**Environment:** Beautiful surroundings, and the bus stop for route 16 right outside the hotel was very handy.
**Service:** The air conditioning wasn't cooling well, but after reporting it, staff came to check immediately and informed us that engineering would fix it. Very quick response time. We also had dinner at the hotel, and the restaurant staff were very thorough in explaining the dishes. The food was excellent, portions were generous, and we even got a discount. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!
