Getting here by light rail is very convenient, but the metro station is a bit of a walk, about 15 minutes away. Parking downstairs is also difficult, which can be inconvenient if you've booked a pick-up/drop-off service. The room is fully equipped with an open-plan kitchen and a washing machine, plus a small balcony with a view. My only complaint is that the toiletries were a bit lacking. They only provided a few bars of soap and shampoo. I was really expecting body wash... Since it's an apartment-style accommodation, there's no room service. You also have to take out your own trash bags to the building's rubbish chute. I felt the everyday essentials were a little too basic. The front desk staff's tone was a bit cold, almost indifferent. Perhaps that's just a Melbourne characteristic, but I still find it a bit off-putting.

Arrived past midnight from Melbourne, and had contacted the hotel in advance to leave my room key in a lockbox, which made check-in a breeze. Since it was my first time and at night, finding the room took a little while. I chose the Classic room type, and after speaking with the hotel, they were able to add a rollaway bed in the hallway for my 8-year-old child. Breakfast was included with the stay; while the selection wasn't huge, it was filling enough. The hotel's hot spring is also very famous and requires an extra fee, though there are package deals that include both accommodation and the hot spring, which are more cost-effective. The hotel is only a 40-minute drive from Sovereign Hill, making it suitable for a day trip. It's also not far from the attractions in Daylesford. This is definitely a hotel I'd patronize again on my next visit to the town! 😊

The check in and check out was seemless. The apartment was big enough for our family and quite cosy. The only part is the washing machine and dryer are outside and have opening and closing hours. If it can be open 24/7 it would be perfect.

The location is super convenient! A supermarket is just a few steps away, and both Melbourne University and the central business district are within walking distance. The Queen Victoria Market, which is great for browsing, is also nearby, so you can easily pick up fresh ingredients to cook back at the hotel. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a fantastic choice for families.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is really good. It's super convenient to get to the hotel from the terminal. The room size is good for unpack & repack your stuff for the trip. Since we didn't have breakfast included in the booking. There are 2 choices for the breakfast: 1. Hotel's breakfast for 35AUD/person 2. Deli cafe. We had a sandwich & muffin there. It's quick and easy to get ready in the morning.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is a bit old, but its location is a big plus – super convenient for shopping! The bed was comfy and soft, and the in-room facilities were well-equipped. No one offered to help with luggage, and the hotel has two entrances, but the staff didn't tell me which one was easier for catching a ride. When I came back by taxi, they didn't open the door for me, but when my friends dropped me off, they were very enthusiastic, opened the car door, and greeted us!

GGuest UserThis is an older five-star hotel with decent service. Its location is similar to Tsim Sha Tsui East in Hong Kong – quiet, with many famous shops, bars, and Western restaurants nearby. However, you'll notice a lot of tourists around when you step outside. The breakfast is pretty good and acceptable, offering standard fare like bread, eggs, coffee, cheese, ham, and fruit – all the daily essentials. The main drawback is that the hotel is too close to the two adjacent buildings. There are very few rooms with a view; most rooms get little to no sunlight throughout the day and require the curtains to be drawn almost constantly. The bathroom is particularly bad. The shower screen only covers half the area, so water inevitably splashes all over the floor, making it a mess. This means you often have to use bath towels to dry the floor, leading to constantly wet carpets and very dirty towels in the long run.

VVSingLocation: The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Nights were serene with barely any car noise. It’s about a 10-minute drive to a nearby mall with Coles, Kmart, and other essentials—super convenient. For travelers, it’s around 40 minutes from the airport, which is manageable. Cleanliness: This was a mixed bag. Upon entering, we noticed a burnt iron mark and several purple stains on the carpet. We made sure to report these to reception immediately due to the $300 AUD bond fee, to avoid being held responsible. Being close to a lake or river meant encountering mosquitoes and some large flies. We also found spiders in the bathroom, but we managed to catch and release them outdoors. Towels provided were an issue—one was dirty when we checked in, and even the replacement towel the next day had stains. However, the beds were spotless, which was a relief. Service: The front desk staff were excellent—friendly, thorough, and accommodating. They explained all the amenities, including the location of the gym and pool, and handled our late checkout request graciously. Facilities: Although I didn’t personally use the gym or pool, the in-room facilities stood out. The smart TV was a bonus, with access to YouTube, Disney+, and Prime Video, ensuring entertainment for the family. Room: The two-bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious, with two bedrooms flanking a central living room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, complete with an exhaust fan to keep the heat out. The beds were the highlight—so soft and comfortable, providing an excellent night’s sleep. Overall: While the initial issues with bugs were unpleasant (I dislike insects), once we cleared them out, the stay became very enjoyable. The spacious layout, serene environment, and cozy beds made it a pleasant experience overall.

GGuest UserI booked two hotels on the Southbank of the Yarra River this time. First, let's talk about Crown Towers, which is located on the western side. My first impression was its luxury. It's connected to a casino and surrounded by high-end luxury stores, with a grand lobby. My second impression was how friendly it is to Chinese guests; all the elevator buttons have both Chinese and English annotations, and there were many festive elements for Chinese New Year. The room faced the Yarra River, offering a nice view, and there were various restaurants downstairs, making dining convenient. Walking west from the hotel, away from the bustling Flinders Street Station, I experienced the quiet and less crowded Yarra River after an evening rain. It was then that I truly understood why Melbourne has been repeatedly voted the world's most livable city. It was a refreshing and comfortable feeling that made me exclaim, 'Life can truly be this wonderful!' If you have ample time, I highly recommend staying a night by the Yarra River. I suggest booking a hotel on the western side; though the location might be slightly more secluded, it offers a convenient way to experience the Yarra River away from the city's hustle and bustle. Like Sydney's Crown Towers, Melbourne's Crown Towers is also lively and a bit flamboyant. This doesn't quite align with the quiet and understated elegance typically associated with luxury hotels, but perhaps that's why its high price offers good value for money. The pool was crowded in the evening but wonderfully empty in the morning for a great swim. Additionally, it's very close to DFO South Wharf (Melbourne's largest outlet mall). We didn't know this at the time and ended up taking a taxi from our subsequent hotel near the University of Melbourne. If we had known, it would have been much more convenient to just stroll over from here.

GGuest UserA place for rejuvenate and value for money. Location: we did not rent a car, but can go there from CBD by train (30 mins) and bus (10 mins). If you catch the 496 bus from Laventon, it takes a 8 mins walk to the hotel off the bus stop, If you take 497 from Williamslanding, it takes 18 minutes, but you can shop at the centre (Coles, Aldi, K-Mart and Chinese supermarket), eat at different restaurants, and have manicure or massage. Facilities: the unit is well equipped with cooking utensils, we cooked our breakfast. There is no buffet breakfast but a la carte menu at the country club. The country club has gym and swimming pool too. Nearby attraction: we went to Werribee zoom, Weribee Park, Werribee Mansion, Joseph's resturant. The zoo has a safari bus which is a great attraction. Staff: the staff is helpful. We requested a lake view room one day before. They helped us by calling the cleaner as our check in day is a public holiday. Much appreciated.

XXiacunpipiluWe stayed here for four nights and it was fantastic! There were so many cute little animals right outside our door – rabbits, purple chickens, and possums were the most common. On one side of the hotel, there's a pasture with lots of cattle and sheep. Across the road is a wildlife park, and it's also really convenient to drive to the supermarket. The kitchen facilities are complete with an oven, gas stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and more, making it easy to cook our own meals. Plus, there's a washing machine and dryer, which made our holiday on Phillip Island so relaxing and wonderful.

EEunice Lee Foong LengWe recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Little Collins, and overall had a comfortable and convenient experience. The biggest highlight is definitely the excellent location in the heart of Melbourne CBD. It’s very easy to get around, with plenty of shopping, dining, and attractions within walking distance. We arrived earlier than check-in time, and the staff kindly allowed us to store our luggage, which made things much easier. We were also offered a discounted breakfast option during check-in, which was a nice touch. The gym facilities were well-maintained, and we enjoyed using them during our stay. The room was a bit more compact compared to other hotels we stayed at during this trip, but still clean and functional. Although we had requested a higher floor, we were assigned a lower-level room, which currently faces some construction. One thing to note is that the lift system can be slightly inconvenient, as the reception is on Level 3 and requires a transfer between lifts. There were also a few instances where the lift didn’t respond as expected. Additionally, there isn’t a self-service laundry facility available. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay—especially because of the prime location and helpful service.
