Nice to stay in the historic hotel. As such, the room showed it's age which is not necessarily bad. It had a charm and warmness not found in most modern hotel rooms. The full breakfast was definitely the highlight. It was not advertised as such on the booking site but should be. I was a bit disappointed that the internet was not password protected. I was reluctant to leave my computer on too long for fear of hacking.

Service: Very good, the handsome guy at the front desk forgot to ask the name, very thoughtful and careful! I originally booked for two nights, and stayed for 3 nights decisively. The hotel is very close to the violin 🎻 square, more than 10 minutes along the seaside boardwalk.

We had a very bad experience with this hotel. When we arrived we asked the staff at front desk about car parking and we were told that there was no parking space and we had to go looking for an off street parking ourselves. We had a long time driving and this was the first time to Halifax and everything was new to us. How could we handle this issue? However, the staff seemed it was not a big issue and even not willing to give any more details about off street parking. I couldn't believe this thing happen at such a luxury hotel. We really don't recommend this hotel and will never come back again.

When arriving to check in, we asked the receptionist at the front desk about parking and we were told there was not enough parking and we needed to find a street parking spot ourselves. We were exhausted from the long drive that day, and it was our first time in Halifax and was completely unfamiliar with everything here. How do we deal with this? However, the staff didn't seem to think it was a big deal, didn't express a single bit of apology, or even bothered to explain more details about on-street parking. We've stayed in many different hotels and we've never had this happen, I can't believe it could happen in such a luxury hotel. There are so many brand hotels in Halifax, why should I book your hotel, is it cheaper? We really do not recommend this hotel and will never come again.

MMaggie ChanBeautiful inn with stunning view! We could see the sunrise living in the balcony floor. Although we had to pay extra for our breakfast (all-you-can-eat style), kids were free of charge. If you are lucky enough, there may be live music performance in the restaurant during your stay!
Overall we had a wonderful stay in Iona Heights Inn!
