Located right in the heart of Wuzhou near the river. This hotel was quite large with a beautiful and elegant lobby. The room was equally spacious and comfortable. Everything in the bathroom worked well and the bed was quite comfortable as well. Overall an excellent value for a hotel to use as a base for exploring Wuzhou!

Service: The service here is absolutely top-notch, easily meeting five-star standards in my opinion. Everyone was incredibly attentive and friendly. I arrived early and my room wasn't ready yet, so they kindly upgraded me. When I had some initial confusion about the upgraded room, they even thoughtfully showed us the original room type (the video is of the original room type). Hygiene: The room was exceptionally clean. This is the first hotel I've stayed at where the plastic slippers in the bathroom were individually sealed for each guest, ensuring they're new every time! The bathrobes were also replaced daily and sealed for disinfection. It really put my mind at ease; they pay attention to so many excellent details! Facilities: The entire room was smart-controlled, though I struggled a bit with adjusting the air conditioning. I ended up relying on the smart speaker to control it. I booked a landmark view, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a stunning view of the river – absolutely beautiful! The photos turned out even better than ones I paid for in Yangshuo! There was no pushy sales tactics, and all extra costs were clearly communicated to me upfront. The cost for hair styling and the additional photos combined was less than a quarter of what I've paid for professional photo shoots elsewhere, but the results were truly fantastic! You could honestly just use these photos as is, without any further edits!

The bedding in the room was soft and comfortable, offering great value for money. Front desk staff Xiao Xiao and Xiao Wu were very warm and helpful, and we received a complimentary upgrade to a larger room with a window. The value for money is excellent, and they offer luggage storage after check-out, which is really convenient for travelers and doesn't disrupt your plans at all.

Located opposite a pretty lake, nice for a walk, the hotel is good for leisure and business travellers. The rooms are large and well equipped. The shower was particularly nice and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is very clean. Fortunately I was with my Chinese speaking partner otherwise check in may have been a longer process. The breakfast was also fine but more orientated to local audience - albeit there is bread, fruit, eggs. Coffee at breakfast is not so good.

This hotel really sets the benchmark for service. Every little detail is impressive, from the snacks upon arrival, the small gifts, and the on-demand service, to the farewell gift at check-out – everything felt so warm and thoughtful. As someone who travels frequently for work, this is the only place where I truly feel a human touch. I even booked this same hotel when I went to Yangshuo, but I still think the service in Guilin is superior. When I returned, I stayed here again, and they even upgraded us to a 'Little Duck' themed room, which my child absolutely loved! I don't think any other hotel will ever impress my child as much as this one. The 10th floor is decorated entirely with children's preferences in mind, featuring a large activity area and unique child-friendly touches in every room. I love it!

I have stayed at the Wyndham Baise Resort a few times during the past couple of years. This past week I stayed two nights with friends to celebrate my birthday. The hotel staff delivered a cake and card to my room, which was a sweet surprise. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is always someone available who can speak English if you need it. We enjoy eating at the restaurant on the first floor which has a variety of good food to choose from. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a pool and a sauna that we use every time we go. I love the view of the city and river from the window. A mall and some restaurants are in walking distance.

Location: The hotel's location is fantastic. After disembarking from the Li River cruise, it's about a 700-800 meter walk to the exit. Once you're out, just walk straight for about 50 meters and you'll reach the hotel. The hotel itself has a great ambiance, and you can enjoy the beautiful Li River scenery right from your balcony. It's also super convenient for getting a taxi. Service: The front desk staff are all very enthusiastic and helpful. They clearly answer any travel-related questions you might have and assist with luggage. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly and kept tidy. The breakfast on the first floor is especially noteworthy, with a wide variety of food options. You can also have lunch and dinner there.

My recent experiences at other hotels made me particularly hesitant when choosing a hotel in Guilin this time. Even with thousands of positive reviews, I couldn't help but feel skeptical. I finally decided to check it out in person. Before checking in, I made what I would have previously considered an unnecessary request: ”May I see the room first?” The front desk staff responded without hesitation: ”Of course, you can.” When viewing the room, the staff knocked three times on the door of a room he clearly knew was empty, saying ”housekeeping service” each time. After opening the door, he knocked once more before formally entering. At that moment, I felt reassured. It turns out that a standardized knock and a simple announcement can rebuild shattered trust. This isn't just service; it's the hotel's fundamental respect for people. This feeling of being respected permeated my entire stay. The monk fruit tea personally served by the front desk, the handwritten card next to the welcome fruit, and the Angelica tea before bed all felt warm and thoughtful. Even the housekeeping auntie who brought buckwheat pillows in the evening was all smiles. Here, you don't feel like a hotel guest; you feel more like you've arrived at the home of a cherished friend. Besides the warm and attentive front desk staff, what impressed me most was the F&B supervisor. When I ordered my second coffee, an Americano, she gently confirmed: ”You had a sugar-free latte earlier, didn't you?” I was surprised that she remembered my preference after serving so many guests. When my Guilin rice noodles were ready, she specifically came over to tell me, ”Please come over to add your condiments.” Upon check-out, she even proactively asked, ”Did you sleep well last night? Is there anything you needed in the room?” Accustomed to the rigid departmental divisions of large hotels, this cross-departmental, meticulous care was truly unexpected. I noticed during breakfast that all the servers wore transparent masks. This ensured hygiene without hindering their friendly smiles and clear voices. All the subsequent observations, whether it was the consistently neat bottled water in the elevator or the carefully arranged green mangoes on the breakfast buffet, made me feel that the operation went far beyond merely replenishing food and drinks. It was an attitude of consistently upholding their own standards. Admittedly, considering the prices in Guilin during the off-season, this small hotel with Li River views is not inexpensive, and its facilities are comparable to many standardized chain hotels. However, when respect for people, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to standards are presented so genuinely, what it offers is an experience that far exceeds its hardware specifications.

If you are concerned about the security of your belongings, think carefully before staying at this hotel. I want to state first that the receptionists and front desk staff are excellent and professional. Unfortunately, there is a serious issue with room security and unauthorized entry. I am a returning guest. First stay: 10–14 December, Room 3031 Second stay: 22–24 December, Room 3003 During my first stay, I informed the cleaning supervisor that I did not want housekeeping until 14 December. When my room ran out of bottled water, I spoke to a cleaning staff member who said she would place the water in my room later after I went out. During our conversation, my room door accidentally shut, and she used a master key card to open it. Looking back, she could have simply handed the water to me as her cart was in the hallway. On 12 or 13 December, the same cleaning staff mentioned that they “cannot earn if they do not clean my room.” Feeling pressured, I agreed to allow floor cleaning only. I stood outside the room while two cleaners mopped the toilet, changed towels, and vacuumed the carpet. On 14 December early checkout, I reached for a pair of black slack pants that had been hanging in the closet since 10 December but it was not there. At that time, I assumed the pants may have been accidentally packed into the two bags for the hotel’s luggage storage. I then traveled to other parts of China with light luggage and did no shopping. I returned to the hotel on the night of 22 December and collected my stored bags. The black slack pants were not in them. During second stay at the hotel I did no shopping. After 24th Dec flying home, I discovered something even more alarming. A bundle of newly purchased jeans for my sister and mother during my first stay—packed together in a plastic bag—was missing. At the airport on 24th Dec, my bags were shrink-wrapped and sealed, and is no wander the total weight was at least 1.3 kg lighter than expected. This suggests that someone entered my room when the room was vacant and removed items from my packed luggage. Hotel staff would have known my checkout date, and I had not opened my bags after packing. This experience has caused me great distress. While the front desk service is commendable, the lack of room security and the disappearance of personal belongings is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to investigate this matter seriously.

It was my first time to sleep on a 3-meter bed. It was super cool. The hotel facilities and services are great. The surrounding area is also convenient. RT-Mart is just over 900 meters away. There is free underground parking. The breakfast included in the hotel is also good. My favorite thing is riding a shared electric scooter around Yulin. I went to Shishijie Night Market, Yuntian Cultural City, and Kelawan Water Park. I can stay in a hotel of this level for less than 300 yuan during the National Day. I think it’s worth it!
