This was my first stay at a Mandarin Oriental, and I chose their historic birthplace. The hotel's location is excellent, right outside Central Station. Just find Harry Winston, and you've found the Mandarin Oriental. The standard rooms are already luxurious and elegant. Outside the window is Chater Road, bustling with luxury boutiques. The warm yellow reflections off the wooden furniture made me feel like I'd stepped back into the golden age of the last century – a beautiful reflection of economic prosperity, yet never loud or ostentatious. Even with evening turndown service, a good hotel is incredibly thoughtful. They prepared bookmarks, bedtime tea, and essential oils, and all amenities were replenished. The room also came with small items branded with the Mandarin Oriental HK logo, such as leather coasters, cable organizers, luggage stickers, and lens cleaning cloths. I asked the front desk, and they confirmed I could take them all (currently, Mandarin Oriental doesn't offer small-sized toiletries, only a small body lotion, which I loved the scent of, so I requested extra). The hotel's 'hidden drawer' is very practical. You just write your request on a piece of paper, place it in the tray in the drawer, and ring the bell. Whether it's for laundry or amenity replenishment, you don't even need to make a phone call – perfect for introverts! Every detail of my stay here was meticulously taken care of. Despite being on a busy street, the soundproofing was excellent, and the temperature and humidity were maintained at a very comfortable level, allowing me to get refreshing sleep during a busy trip. The breakfast selection is quite rich, with semi-buffet and full-buffet options available at different restaurants. For tourists, I'd recommend the full buffet as it offers a wider variety of dishes, including both hot and cold options, and you can also order à la carte desserts like pancakes. Before leaving, I bought some rose jam and a fan, officially becoming a fan of MO.

I initially thought that after so many years of renovation, the carpets might have an odor. However, after a long comparison, I decided that location was paramount. Other reviewers had mentioned no issues with smell, so I chose Kowloon Shangri-La. I ended up being incredibly satisfied! The decor is grand and luxurious. The staff are enthusiastic and remember guest preferences. (I was among the first employees at Shangri-La Qingdao in '97. I remember during training, we were taught to always remember every guest's preferences. It's great to see that Shangri-La's global standards haven't changed over the years.) They made sure guests felt completely comfortable. The Horizon Club's breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner offer incredible value for money, and the service is excellent. My husband and kids both said this was an excellent hotel choice. It's also convenient for shopping, and they even gave my child a gift! 💝

The hotel boasts an excellent location, making travel convenient. It offers sea views, which are particularly stunning with the lights at night. There are plenty of local eateries nearby, providing a wide array of choices. Outside the hotel, there's a boardwalk where many locals jog in the mornings, and in the evenings, tourists can be found enjoying drinks in the restaurant garden. The rooms are clean, tidy, and reasonably spacious, with comfortable bedding. The lobby is luxuriously decorated and often hosts wedding events. The breakfast buffet, however, is just average with limited options. Marco provided excellent service! Recommended.

The room size was pretty good, and I think it offers decent value for money in Hong Kong. The only minor issues were that the lighting was a bit dim and the bathroom door lock was faulty – you needed someone to help align it to get it to latch. The lobby connects directly to Langham Place, which is very convenient. I even stumbled upon a Kuromi pop-up there! Some of the facilities did feel a bit dated, which is understandable. I didn't experience anything particularly standout service-wise. The 'welcome' feeling actually came from the security guard at check-in and the cleaning lady. The front desk staff also helped arrange a twin room, which was nice.

Good Review: Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong (a Shangri-La Hotel) – A Double Delight of Luxurious Sea-View Accommodation and Delicious ”Omelette”! My stay at Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong (a Shangri-La Hotel) was filled with highlights, from the accommodation to the dining! Hong Kong is a city where every inch of land is precious, so being able to stay in such a spacious sea-view room for around 2500 HKD offered far better value for money than expected, clearly outshining accommodations at a similar price point in Shanghai. The hotel, part of the Shangri-La Group, maintained its consistently excellent quality. While enjoying breakfast at the restaurant, I had to communicate with the staff using broken English and Cantonese, as they weren't very familiar with Mandarin, but this didn't detract from the delicious food at all. A special mention goes to the ”Omelette” – a Western breakfast specialty in Hong Kong, made by pan-frying beaten eggs with various ingredients. The omelette we ordered was incredibly smooth and rich in egg flavor. Even though it took two or three attempts to get the order right, it was so delicious that it left a lasting impression, proving popular even among foreign guests. Strategically located in Hung Hom Bay, the hotel boasts convenient transportation and breathtaking sea views. Whether it was the comfortable accommodation, the exquisite dining, or the attentive service, everything contributed to making this trip to Hong Kong exceptionally fulfilling. It's truly a high-quality choice that I wholeheartedly recommend!

Our stay was almost excellent. The hotel property is beautifully maintained, offers picturesque views, and provides ample access to a variety of water activities, which we greatly appreciated. However, one aspect that impacted our enjoyment was the swimming pool's limited operating hours. With sessions only from 9:00-11:45 AM and 1:00-6:00 PM, it was unfortunately not possible to enjoy an early morning swim before breakfast or a late afternoon swim. This schedule does not accommodate the common preference, especially in warmer climates, for swimming when the sun is less intense, such as before 9:00 AM or after 6:00 PM. That noted, the hotel staff were consistently courteous and professional. Furthermore, the breakfast service was outstanding, featuring an extensive selection of delicious and expertly prepared dishes. In summary, while the pool hours were a significant drawback, the overall quality of the accommodations, dining, and service was commendable.

This was my first time staying at the Royal Garden. The hotel is clean, has a beautiful pool, nice views, and a wide selection of restaurants. Every staff member presents themselves in a professional manner, they have sincere smiles and are extremely helpful, the concierge, bellboy and housekeeping staff are very polite as well. I am especially thankful to Manager Bonny for leading her team excellently. Her team members, Polly, Ken, and Anson, all have great team spirit and were very helpful with our facility requests, as well as with the special arrangements for our tour. I am truly grateful and appreciate having them during my stay. I would definitely come back again and will surely miss their kind smiles and the feeling of being at home. A special thank you to Bonny and Polly, they made our stay in Hong Kong the best experiences, thank you!

Second time staying here, haha! The location is super convenient, just a short walk to Victoria Harbour. **Hygiene**: Very clean. The cleaning staff were also very thoughtful; I hung the 'please make up room' sign before breakfast, and when I came back, it was already spotless. **Mini-bar**: Had coffee and many bottles of drinks. **Breakfast**: Delicious! They offered Hong Kong style, Chinese, American, and Japanese options. I even had put chai ko (steamed rice pudding) and egg tarts!

The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around. Pacific Place and Admiralty MTR station are right downstairs, and Hong Kong Park is just across the road from the entrance. Before my trip, I emailed in Chinese to book a spa treatment, but received a response not in Chinese. Upon arrival, as soon as I got out of the taxi, I overheard hotel staff speaking in Cantonese to a colleague, saying it was too busy to help with luggage and guests should carry their own. The lobby was indeed packed during check-in. We checked in around 3 PM, but when we returned to our room at 6 PM, it still wasn't ready. The next morning, there was also a long queue for breakfast. Furthermore, the front desk knew it was our first stay but didn't inform us where breakfast was served, nor did they mention that the room had direct drinking water – we had to find both pieces of information online. In the afternoon, we left the window screen down, but when we returned, we found it open. There was also a note explaining that service couldn't be provided because the 'Do Not Disturb' light was on.

This was my third stay at the Rosewood Hong Kong, and it was the first time I've encountered a room that smelled musty. Thankfully, after speaking with them, they were able to switch me to a room with a normal scent. Breakfast was excellent as always; they even gave me a box of chocolates as an apology for the slow waffle service. The lunch at The Legacy House was absolutely delicious, it definitely deserves more than one Michelin star.

AAnonymous UserA convenient hotel situated next to Hong Kong International Airport. The Regal Airport Hotel is a 10-15 min walk from the arrivals hall A to the airport hotel. For some travellers who are on a long layover or on a business trip it is very convenient. If you have a very early departure from HKIA I would also recommend as you wont have the burden of having to wake up early to commute to the airport as you'd just be a walking distance. For those looking to travel into the city its not so convenient as you will need to take the MTR or a bus ride out each time. I'd recommend choosing a hotel in the city or closer to the main attractions

AAnonymous UserPros and cons: Pros: · The room itself was lovely and offered a great view. · A special thank you to the housekeeping staff member from Mainland China on November 5, 2025. She was an absolute angel—always smiling, highly attentive, and even asked if there was anything she could do better. Her attitude was, without a doubt, the best I have encountered across thousands of hotel stays worldwide. · At check-out, Front Desk Staff Dordon (not sure of the spelling; he is from Canada and was wearing a navy blue uniform) provided excellent service with a professional and friendly attitude. Cons: · At check-in, I specifically requested a room above the swimming pool, as that was the primary reason I booked this hotel after seeing the pictures online. However, the front desk staff member, Jimmy, assigned me a room in the East Tower, near the Ocean Park rollercoaster. Upon entering, I immediately realized it was not what I had asked for and called to request a change. Jimmy said he would check for availability, so I went down to the lobby to wait. After a 30-minute wait, I was finally reassigned to a room in the West Tower above the swimming pool—which was my original request. It's worth noting that all swimming pool view rooms are in the West Tower, not the East Tower. · Unfortunately, my new room was one of the noisiest. There were two staff access doors directly opposite my room, one of which was for loading laundry, resulting in constant, loud door slamming. Furthermore, a drinking water station was situated very close by (the hotel does not provide bottled water), which created a continuous flow noise that was highly disruptive and unpleasant. · I was too exhausted to request another room change at that point, unsure of how long it would take, and I had commitments to attend to afterward. · Another issue occurred before check-out. On November 6 at around 11:30 AM, I called the front desk to inquire about the latest check-out time, mentioning that my flight was in the evening. A male staff member (with a Hong Kong accent, and not Jimmy or Dordon) replied abruptly, ”If you want to stay until evening, you need to pay an extra fee!!” I was taken aback by his assumption that I was trying to exploit the hotel's policy. It is common practice for hotels to offer at least a one-hour grace period. · I tried to ease the tension with a light laugh, which he mirrored. I repeated my question, clarifying that I was simply asking for the latest check-out time, to which he finally replied, ”12:30!” · This experience taught me that explaining the reason for a request can sometimes be counterproductive with certain staff, who may lack empathy and automatically assume guests are seeking special treatment. Suggestions: It appears that some of the male front desk staff in grey uniforms could benefit from additional customer service training. Working in hospitality requires a genuine desire to serve people. If one inherently dislikes interacting with guests, it may be time to reconsider their career path. While not all local Hong Kong staff are impolite, certain ingrained perceptions about service attitudes do occasionally surface.

__ZFB208800217002****Regal Riverside Hotel is located in Sha Tin, New Territories, with abundant public transportation options. You can get directly to Tsim Sha Tsui without transfers, and there are many minibuses that take you to Sha Tin and Tai Wai MTR stations within ten minutes, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel is surrounded by a vibrant local area with many dining options. Wellcome and Mannings supermarkets are just a five-minute walk away. The hotel's hygiene is good, and the cleaning staff provide excellent service, which is commendable. If you can get a room facing the river, you'll be able to enjoy the night view of Sha Tin city, and the riverside promenade is perfect for a leisurely evening stroll. The hotel's breakfast is a bit monotonous, with insufficient Chinese food options. I hope this can be improved. If you have enough time for breakfast, there are various restaurants just a three-minute walk from the hotel that can cater to your breakfast, lunch, and dinner needs.

SSqiiiTraveling with kids, it was very convenient to get to the hotel from Kowloon MTR station; you just walk through Elements Mall, past the LV store, and you're there. The hotel pool is indeed very beautiful. The mall has Lei Garden and many other great food options, making everything easily accessible. The only negative was that a cleaning lady knocked on our door, then suddenly swiped her card and walked right in to ask us when we were checking out. That was very rude.
