Hotels With breakfast in Kochi Prefecture, Japan

Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy. The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated. We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win. The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort. What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle. Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it.

I stayed here last year as well. It was such a great experience that I wanted to stay here again this year, so I chose this hotel. The quality of the food seemed to have improved compared to last year. The bonito tataki was delicious. Also, the breakfast area was conveniently located, and they made efforts to avoid overcrowding, which was great. I'll definitely choose this hotel when I visit Kochi Prefecture again.

I stayed here while sightseeing along the Shimanto River. The amenities here included lotion, milky lotion, and even makeup remover, which was extremely convenient for female guests. (*^ω^) They also had game consoles available for rent, so I played the Famicom, my childhood obsession, for the first time in decades! (There were several other game consoles to choose from besides the Famicom.) There was a souvenir shop and restaurant right next door, so I had no trouble finding a place to eat or buy souvenirs. ☆ The shower and toilet were separate, and the sofas were spacious. I had a comfortable stay. I was also given some snacks along with my welcome drink. It felt like a great deal.

This is a great little hotel. It was so unassuming that I was pleasantly surprised by the service, comfort and quality of my stay here. I half expected only an average place, but from the moment I entered the lobby and was greeted by the warmest, friendliest reception, I was totally happy. He quickly checked me in, and upon my enquiry on suitable local restaurants he informed me they have free curry right now, along with bottomless drinks (hot and cold, tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks), it was perfect, just want I needed after a long day. He also helped with parking as their hotel lotcwas full. The room was basic, but it was all clean and worked well, the bed was comfy and shower had good pressure and hot water, heaven. Breakfast the next day was also lovely, a good mix of Asian and western. I was chuffed and would gladly stay here again. I stayed for one night and was really impressed. All the staff were incredibly helpful and kind, even giving me tips on the local area. 😊 Thanks to them, I had a very comfortable stay. My only minor suggestion would be regarding the loungewear – there's only one free size. As a 178cm, 75kg guy, it felt a bit small. I imagine many international travelers stay here too, so perhaps offering two sizes would be a good idea. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kochi. Thank you! 😊

Great hotel. Super friendly staff. Love the way they use the translator mic and very efficient. The room design is to the “point”. I will defintely recommend it for solo traveller or “medium-built” couple. Bath is ok, resting area is good, unfortunately did not go for breakfast/ dinner. If i m back to Kochin, will stay again.

the hotel room is nice , best shower even in Japan. but the sink is too low, good size for the child , too low for an adult the hotel has swimming pool, the pool is belong to the gym , normally require the membership ,but you just need to show the counter that you are staying in the hotel they will let you in. if you dont have the swimming suit, they have the swimming suit to borrow which was nice . they don't really speak English, that was a little tough to communicate. they have laundry machine at 3rd floor to use. the breakfast was acceptable , if you are foreigner, like western food , they have croissant, chocolate bread, salad, bacon. it was a good stay.

Amazing view of the Niyodo River with a delicious kaiseki dinner! We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the onsen!

Within 5 minutes walk from Kochi Train Station to the hotel. Not much eateries in the immediate 5 minutes radius but if you take a 10 minutes walk down or 5 minutes tram ride, you can find an entire street of local shopping and eateries. Do visit the Hirome Market and Kochi Castle which is nearby too! Hotel receptionist do not speak much English but they are super hospitable and easy to communicate via English with them using an amazing translation device they have! Had to do luggage delivery service and they were super helpful! Would definitely stay in this hotel the next time we visit Kochi!

Cannot ask for more from this hotel. Everything is perfect. We have the best accomodation in here while in Shikoku, where we have stayed in 9 hotels. It was simply the best. The environment is recluse, though it is highly accessible with cars. The star-gazing experience in onsen is once in a lifetime. It was magical to bath under the starry night. The dining experience is exceptional, though it is a little pricey, compare to the dinner we have throught Shikoku. Still, I highly recommend to try the Japanese-style course The Manna provided.
