The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we arrived and rooms were spotless, everything we needed. Did have a little musty smell but it's an older building didn't spoil they stay. We ate in the lounge bar food was lovely staff again were great. We requested a quiet room and it was didn't hear a noise peaceful stay. There's a nature walk on the grounds it was nice of an evening to take a little stroll lovely surroundings I'd stay there again
This hotel is the most cost-effective hotel in my trip to England, very value! The room is large, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, the facilities are complete, the parking is free, and the breakfast is superb! In fact, it should be an old manor transformation, the garden is super large, reminding me of Downton Manor. The little brother at the front desk is super humorous and has a rich expression.
The location of the hotel is very good at a golf course in the suburbs, very close to the highway but you have to drive. The only complaint is that the breakfast is really bad and everything else is pretty good
It’s an impressive building so I was having some expectations. The room it was a bit dated in the newer part. Not many amenities as you can expect from this kind of hotel. The bar area is really nice looking over a fabulous garden and so the restaurant. On that note the food was areal let down. I have ordered a Thai green curry chicken. I was soo looking forward to this but when arrived it was a total disappointment. The chicken was probably a leftover from another meal, very dry. The sauce was nothing like green curry and the rice it was microwaved. The waitresses were very lovely and apologised and the removed it from my bill. They said that they have an agency chef! So it’s a real shame !!
The room is on the top floor, a typical British attic renovation, with a very limited view, but other than that it's OK, especially the service in the restaurant is great. In the morning, because I was in a hurry, the lady in the restaurant helped me prepare some food temporarily, which was great, thank you
The 15th-century hotel has a sense of history and provides ample free parking spaces. There is nothing to fault in the public areas. I booked a suite this time, so I am quite satisfied with the size and location of the room. However, what is very puzzling is that when I get up and take a shower in the morning...the water pressure is surprisingly problematic🤨The water pressure itself is not enough, and the water comes out sometimes and sometimes not...it is very worrying😐Toilet🚽Toilet flushing The water pressure is also insufficient...I won’t go into the following series of things😅The breakfast is quite satisfactory...There are no surprises in the traditional English breakfast. The only surprise is that the cut watermelon has stinked🤮
The hotel is ideally situated for a short trip to Stratford upon Avon. Just a short walk into the centre.
The rooms are comfortable and the bed was large. Car parking is easy and plentiful. Not too expensive.
On the downside (slightly) there is no lift. But only 2 floors. The staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. No issues required resolving. We didn’t use the leisure facilities.
