The hotel is big but location is a bit far from anywhere. Aeon is around 10 minutes by car. If you want to dine in the hotel restaurant, better to book earlier. The breakfast is underwhelming, seems to have a lot of choice but nothing really outstanding in quality. The ocean view from the room is really nice though
Miyazaki is a small city so getting around is not difficult if you stay in this hotel. There is a few local buses to the hotel from the JR Miyazaki station. Within walking distance of 10min you can find almost everything from shopping to izakaya. The best part I like is the sauna and hot spring. It has outdoor and indoor hot spring baths and sauna. Amenities in the public bath is complete with lotion, tonic, hair gel, shaving form and even towel is provided so you don't need to bring your own. Overall, a great hotel.
A nice hotel to rest after a long day drive. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and polite. There's a free parking beside the hotel too. And you can enjoy the hot spring in the hotel for free. There is a small bath tub in the room's toilet too. This hotel is quite close to 高干穗峡. The reason I choose this hotel is because of the distance to 高干穗峡 and they are the most affordable hotel within that area. Overall this is a nice hotel, I will definitely visit there again if I go to Kyushu again!
Miyazaki Kanko Hotel stands along Tachibana Koen-dori Street (1-1-1 Matsuyama, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, 880-8512) overlooking the Oyodo River.
It is a large, well-established hotel.
There is a large hot spring bath on the first floor of the West Wing, and on the second floor is Shokusai Kenbi Ichiboku Ichiso, where the breakfast buffet is located. A dinner buffet is also available.
The hotel is old, so there is nothing new about it, but the rooms are spacious, the utility room is spacious, and the bathtub is also large.
There is only an AC outlet for power, no USB, and the AC at the desk has to be plugged in through a wall socket at the foot of the desk, which gives it a sense of history, but this is not a problem.
The Single room is very spacious and the bed( small double)is consider big for one person. The hotel spa is superb and breakfast is sumptuous. You must try their weekend buffet, the spread and quality of food is good.
The only thing I find weird is that all guest must changed to the slipper the hotel provided to move around within the facilities. Anyway, overall experience is good.
A bit of of the way, it's a dead town at night and all restaurants closed by 830pm when we arrived. Quite a spooky dated resort. The only saving grace was huge rooms, and the private onsen for couples. Front desk couldn't speak a word of English.
Overlooking the Ōyodo River flowing through the heart of Miyazaki—a region brimming with charms such as its warm climate known as "Japan's Sunny Place," the sapphire seas of Aoshima and the Nichinan Coast, mythic power spots, diverse activities from golf to surfing, and a rich food culture—this new facility is born.
Inside, the hotel offer 41 guest rooms across 6 distinct types, accommodating up to 6 guests per room, allowing guests to choose according to their travel style.
Furthermore, in addition to a full-scale spa & sauna facility exclusive to staying guests, the hotel has introduced a hypoxic gym that simulates an environment equivalent to 2,500 meters above sea level, enriching guest's wellness experience throughout their stay.
Room size was just enough for 3 adults and 1 baby. It was good idea to book tatami as the baby can walk around in the room. The room was a bit old but it was fine and good to sleep and rest. The breakfast was good too, transitional Japanese style. The public hot spring was not good, quite old but clean notmal water. I would recommend you to buy some hot spring powder to make your own one hot spring bath in the room 😂
The building's exterior, which looked unassuming in photos, was actually stunning in person! The room was spacious and bright, and the bed was so comfortable I slept wonderfully. The yukata (robe) was absolutely beautiful, and they even thoughtfully provided cushions for us to use at the Kagura performance. Truly, not a single fault to be found.
Department house の の Cleanliness は Problem なし
There are many insects in the public bath anyway.
I'm going to go to other hot springs, but there's a lot of them here.
I want you to take the insects floating in the hot water regularly.
The scenery was very good
At night, the light outside is too dazzling and the stars are hard to see, so it's better to be a little weaker.
The lobby, the public bath, the view from the restaurant are superb because it is high
It was hard to get a light car because I was going up the slope.
There are free water bottles for people.
There's a cotton swab, emulsion, water server in the public bath.
Ice machines, sake vending machines were also in the elevator.
Cospa was good
The air conditioner in the room seemed to be in bad condition.
It's a pretty negative that it's 17 degrees, but it's not cold and it's hot all the time.
Very Good

GGuest UserI usually use Marix Lagoon, but Marix is also the best 🙌
The hot springs were great and the breakfast was also very satisfying. I will definitely use them again when I stay in Miyazaki in the future.
