Overall, I had a pleasant stay at KSL Hotel & Resort. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The location is excellent as it’s directly connected to KSL City Mall, making shopping and finding food very convenient. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite. The room could use a little updating in some areas, but it was still comfortable and worth the price. I would definitely consider staying here again for a short trip to Johor Bahru.

Very pleasant stay at the hotel! Had an add on of the breakfast at promotional price of 78 ringgit per pax and the buffet spread was awesome! The staff are courteous and welcoming, feel very warm each time we bump into them. There’s a pillow menu for you to choose & welcome cookies upon check in (very delicious)! The massage shop in the hotel called Swan Reflex was good and price is comparable with shops outside (had an additional discount for hotel guests). Hotel is about 10mins walk away from CIQ, abit difficult to walk now with the ongoing construction at the surrounding.

The location is considered good as it is within 10min walking distance from KsL shopping mall. The view from the room is also nice. The room is quite big with a comfortable bed and large tv with many channels. However the toilet bowl is not very good as gets clogged easily. Overall a comfortable stay.

Having stayed at Holiday Villa numerous times, I keep returning for one simple reason: consistency. It has become my go-to choice for trips to Johor Bahru, and it continues to deliver a reliable experience. Why I keep coming back:  Prime Location: Being located directly opposite KSL City Mall is incredibly convenient. You have immediate access to shopping, dining, and the cinema without the need to navigate heavy traffic or deal with long walks.  Hassle-Free Parking: This is a major selling point. Between the ease of self-parking and the convenience of the valet service (at a reasonable RM35), arrival and departure are always stress-free compared to the often chaotic access at the mall side.  Solid Breakfast: The breakfast variety is surprisingly good, with a nice spread that offers a solid start to the day. A Note on Value: I am fully aware that the room rates here are generally higher than at KSL Hotel. While it is a bit more of a premium, I find that the extra cost is absolutely justified by the seamless parking experience, the slightly quieter environment, and the overall maintenance of the property. Verdict: If you value efficiency, ease of access, and a hassle-free stay, the slight price premium is worth every penny. I will definitely be returning.

I would like to congratulate the management and staff of the hotel, as the rooms and most of the common areas were exceptionally clean. I have no complaints regarding the cleanliness of the property. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. However, it is important to note that the hotel shares its swimming pool and gym facilities with a residential complex. As a result, the pool is often crowded with children and condominium residents, which can make it less comfortable for hotel guests. The café on the 5th floor, where breakfast is served, operates only in the mornings. It would be a great improvement if it remained open throughout the day. I noticed that many guests were looking for coffee or a light snack, but there is nowhere convenient to go within the hotel. Since the property is somewhat isolated, guests need to take a taxi to the nearest shopping mall, which is approximately a 15-minute ride away. The hot spring facilities could also be improved. The sauna does not function properly, and the area could be maintained more carefully in terms of cleanliness. In general, the hot spring facilities appear somewhat worn and would benefit from refurbishment.

The Amari Hotel in Johor Bahru is located in a very strategic and convenient area. Most major facilities and shopping complexes are within a 10‑minute walking distance, making it easy to access food, retail, and entertainment without needing transportation. Cleanliness: Overall, the hotel maintains good cleanliness standards. However, some moss can still be found on the windows, especially those facing the swimming pool. Despite this minor issue, the general cleanliness of the hotel is satisfactory. Internet Connection: The Wi‑Fi connection is not stable. It frequently disconnects, which can be inconvenient for guests who rely on a steady internet connection. Parking: Parking is not free. Guests are charged RM12 per day with multiple entry allowed. However, parking is complimentary if the booking is made directly with the hotel.

Though it was a self-check in process by collecting the house key from the mail box, it made it easy with the detailed instructions provided by the host. We drove with complimentary parking for our stay. It was easy to locate the lift lobby again with the detailed information. We booked two bedrooms apartment and the room is fantastic, clean and new! The amenities like pool and gym was good too. Its connected to R&F Mall by a linkway bridge. Everything was good and we had a bery pleasant stay. Strongly recommended! 😊

Big room, easy n fast check in, good breakfast. *Disadvantages is the bathtub as I feel not a good access for old n convalescent persons as it is high to climb into n not friendly to my point of view. And the parking access if can validate by coupon instead of TnGo card is also an added advantage as can be prevented earlier upon request then having only an hour to validate at lobby receptionist 🙏 All other matters is great. Friendly staffs n good location.

The hotel's ambiance is quite nice, with a touch of Southeast Asian style, giving it a somewhat dated feel, but in a good way. The restaurant prices inside the hotel are reasonable, comparable to those outside. Getting a taxi to the airport was a bit of a hassle; it was really hard to find a car.

Even though it was almost fully booked over the weekend, the hotel offered a quiet getaway, as its premises is huge with a variety of amenities. Nature inspired decorations don the common areas. The room is spacious and clean, with a sizable balcony that overlooks the outdoor playground and the sea in the background. The local cuisine at the restaurant is tasty. Over the weekend, food carts were set up at the hotel lobby, selling local and western fares, providing alternative food options. The food that we tasted, pizza, satay and char koay teow, surpassed our expectations. The hotel may be short-handed at times so expect longer waiting time but the service staff tried their best to deliver their service, which is commendable.
